Stumbled upon this place while picking up some Starbucks next door. Staff were very helpful, informative, friendly and welcoming. Waiting area with water station, layout fits the space well for customers to walk around, neat and organized. While looking around I saw substantial frame selections classics, sweet & simple or athletic eyewear. Whatever you're searching for they have a wide variety to choose from. Arrived at 6:30 pm and closing time was 7:00 pm. I only needed a few minutes to make a purchase decision. Been shopping here for the entire family for years. Lights were dim and staff refused to turn them back on, saying store closes in 30 minutes. Kevin in particular was quite unfriendly and unhelpful. Long time glasses wearer since about eight years old. I have purchased many glasses from many different eyeglass shops. When I walked into this place, no one greeted me, no one said anything. Not even a, "welcome to the store give us a moment and we'll be right with you." Nothing! (Strike 1) So I just walk around and start looking at different frames myself. I decided I would let that pass. Walked around looking at frames for a good 2-3 minutes, no one even acknowledge my presence. I walk up to the receptionist which is all the way in the back of the store and say hi. The first thing she asked is are you a customer here? (Strike 2) Now, I have purchased glasses from this place before, so I told her yes, I've purchased from here before. She goes you can look around. And that was it! Walked around for another few minutes looking at the frames, nobody still came or said anything to me. The frames were ridiculously expensive, like average $250 for just the frames! (Strike 3) After seeing all that, and the complete lack of any kind of customer service, I just walked out. I will not be returning or shopping there again. I just find it sad that they probably have great optometrist that work there, but you wouldn't know it because the staff is complete trash. Went directly to America's best eyeglasses, was greeted immediately when I walked in the store, and asked how I can be helped. I found an amazing COMPLETE pair of glasses with everything for almost the same price as what their frames start at. You wanna do yourself a favor and go somewhere else if you are melanated... trust me! read more

Excellent care provided by Dr. Zhu. She was very patient during the exam; when I was trying to decide between 1 or 2, 3 or 4, etc. Dr. Zhu took the time to answer my questions and went over the results from the pictures/scans that Kevin took before I saw her. Kevin was meticulous and explained what I was to do at each station. He was also patient when he had to redo one because I kept blinking when I wasn't supposed to! Didn't make me feel rushed at all. The staff was professional, and don't hover around you when trying on glasses. Courtney was super approachable and helpful with my questions. She also cleaned and tightened my old glasses. We have been customers at Clear View Optometry since we moved to the Inland Empire. We always have such a fun time shopping for glasses here. The doctors all take time to get to know us. When we are selecting glasses, the staff really helps us find the best fit and in our budget. I was really impressed with how they are handling Covid. We went in yesterday. We were on time. They took our temps, had us wash our hands, and then got us started. They were quick, efficient, and very patient. Went in for a replacement on my eyeglasses due to lense scratches. When I when back to have lens replaced, they broke my frame and then had the nerve to ask me if the frame was broken. Long story short they offered to replace frame but gave me the longest run around that took almost a month to receive new frame. It was not a good look for them. read more

I was warned about this practice before I even made my appointment, and boy, let me tell you, I should have listened. Customer service is awful, the billing process is horrible, and glasses are terrible. EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM SUCKS! If you can take your money and prescription elsewhere, do it. I picked them because of the convenience (hours), but I have made numerous calls trying to correct issues that I have had. For one, I used a flexible spending account to purchase my children's glasses, and all of my receipts were denied because of their billing process. My son recently told me he is having issues seeing, so his vision has changed, and when I called to book an appointment, the representative had no clue what I was talking about. It was so bad that I informed her she needed to be retrained, got offended, and hung up on me. CAN YOU SAY RIDICULOUS? All I can say is a lesson learned. read more

My family and I have been customers for the past 6 years but I will never buy any glasses from them ever again (I might be back for an eye exam with Dr Zubi; he is the best). I had issues with my new prescription glasses where vision becomes blurry whenever i look at the side. My prescription hasn't changed from last time and I got new glasses for a change. So something was definitely wrong with them since I don't have any issues with my "old" glasses. Their response to me was that there is nothing wrong with the prescription and there is nothing they can do about it. So, nothing is wrong with the car; the issue is with the driver! Outrageous! I came in asking to have non prescription lenses put into my sunglasses and a lady helped me choose what shade I wanted, I had told her that I was going to a weddding in a week and half and asked if they would be done by then. She assured me it would be. I called two days before I would leave and they told me that in fact it wouldn't be done on time, they didn't even bother to call or let me know it was going to be done late. He really takes the time to explain test and exam results so we leave feeling we have been well taken care of. In the front area, Melissa has helped us each time, as I have a number of different configurations for the multiple pairs of glasses I get. My wife and I have been coming here for years and and always buy new glasses and lenses every year. We called and said we were running late and we were told that was fine. When we got there we were 3 minutes past our grace period and were denied. My wife and I were booked for 30 minute appointments each and she took 20 minutes so they could have easily fit us both in. Other employees were willing to try to work with us and fit us in, but the receptionist still said no. He said because we missed the grace they couldn't see us. I had to wait until the outcome of this story before posting. We have been very pleased clients of Clear View for many years. This is how you go from hero to zero in one visit. I brought my custom Oakleys in for prescription lenses. Having been assured they can be made correctly we went forward. When I picked them up I noticed the lenses didn't fit. The frame was torqued and the lenses not seated. Upon further inspection I easily found that the lenses were not made correctly with the corners literally bent or smashed-over into hooks. I explained they will need to re-make the lenses and replace the frames that are now scratched. The person assisting me had no clue what to say or even understand what I was saying. She said she would refer it to the office manager Monday. Monday - I called the office manager explaining what transpired. She responded that she inspected the lenses herself, and in her professional opinion, they were fine. The lenses were picked up, and taken to two other professionals for their opinion, including Oakley. They concurred - the lenses were not correct, they would have fallen out over time and the frames would eventually become damaged. Comparing them to the original lenses this was very obvious. My daughter returned the lenses for me and was promptly met by the manager who wrote her a refund check adding "so we can get them made somewhere else." Well, I did. My new provider did an awesome job. The lenses are perfect and cheaper! The work they put into insuring they were measured correctly and the right fit was amazing. The doctors at Clear View are awesome, but I lost faith in the office staff to resolve issues. I prefer to go to a one-stop-shop for all my needs so I have moved on. Been a customer for several years, however I bought a pair of Prada eyeglasses and they are defective and I've gone back nine times and they refuse to replace them and they are still under warranty and they can't fix them!!! I have been coming to this place for more than 10 year with my family. They used to be great when they were in the mall. The women in their are awful and have no Customer Service Experience. I even talked to the male Arab Doctor in there and expressed my displeasure almost an year ago. Most recently I had the weirdest experience with them. I have Eymed Insurance which I have used in the past. They are even listed on the Eyemed website as a provider. She could not explain to me why it is showing that way. Here is my personal opinion. These gals are hired atd minimum wage with no experience. They are not trained well. That is why you see different faces every time you walk in. In an attempt to give my neighborhood Optometry the financial support, I went to check this place of business out. I was pricing placing lenses in a Designer Frame. As recent as 2/20, I had two pairs of frames/lenses done at Costco. I lost a pair so I went to an Optometrist in Upland...to get new lenses. My experience at Clear View was very unpleasant. I was approached in a brusque manner took I needed an appointment, I said OK. There was no other customer in the store at the time. I was let in But in an unwelcoming manner & made to feel as an Intruder not a prospective customer. Well to my Shock I was quoted an Outrageous price for Progressive lenses. 575% more than I had recently paid for the Progressive Lenses I had gotten last month. 400% more than frames & Progressive lenses at Costco!! I called in December to make an appointment. I was going to be turning 26 on January 4th so I made it clear that I needed to be seen before then. The woman on the phone checked and told me I had until the last day of January so we went with a later date. Today I got there only to find out that my insurance was no longer valid which would have covered my glasses and my exam.
