At one point had 6 pairs of frames in hand, compared options with my part er. They completely ignored me, took other walk-ins, went for a Coffee Bean break, but no assistance. At one point I left and came back, still ignored me like I was invisible. As I type this out I'm literally at the front desk being ignored as they chit-chat about nothing. I told them I'd been waiting there nearly an hour - and all looked at each other like they had no idea, but still no attempt to help. An hour later: I had 2 pairs on order somewhere else.

I'm not one to change a provider lightly, but I could not be happier to say I found one and that the reviews on Yelp are 100% accurate when it comes to Dr. Kim. If you care about genuine and personal customer service, and forming a real relationship with the people who take care of your health, this is the place to go. The level of service was unparalleled and they are friendly and thorough. I had insurance but assumed I had already used my benefits since I purchased contacts elsewhere less than a year prior. They took the time to check my insurance, saw I had benefits that could be applied, explained the benefits, and went through the benefits to see which could get me the best discount. I ended up getting contact lenses, frames, and lenses. Dr. Kim not only knows what she's doing in her profession, but she truly cares about her patients. She shows it by the time she spends to conduct her exam and to talk to you. It feels like a rarity these days to find this type of care, but it's a relief to see it still exists. Recently I had seriously injured my eye while doing some gardening and by the next morning I realized I needed professional medical attention. I went to Dr. Kim's office to arrange for an examination. While Dr. Kim was not in at the time, her employee, Scott, immediately contacted her by phone in an effort to have me seen late that afternoon. While Dr. Kim was out of town at the time, Scott was able to secure an appointment with Dr. Kim the following morning. Impressive! After examining my eye and generating a prescription for an immediate pick up, Dr. Kim insisted that in the future if any vision-related injuries arise I should immediately text the office, even if it is after-hours. She explained that, as a habit, she will review text messages after-hours and is very willing to meet with a patient, on an emergency basis, to avoid the risk of any long-term vision damage. Several days after my initial visit Dr. Kim then reached out to me via a follow-up email to confirm that I was healing properly and that the injury had been alleviated. This is an impressive level of personalized professional care, especially in view of the general state of healthcare throughout Southern California. Thank you Dr. Kim and your staff.

Cons: - The front desk team didn't do a great job explaining what the charges were and what my insurance covered. I guess that's partly on me for not asking more questions but asking for clarification once or twice and still not understanding their explanation I didn't really want to ask further - Didn't love the process of starting the exam with someone else where I had to take my contacts out followed by asking me to wait for the doctor back in the waiting room. I feel like once you have me take my contacts out it should pretty much be a seamless experience so one doesn't have to go to the waiting room not being able to see. - The charged me $86/box of contacts. I did 5 minutes of googling and see a wide range of prices but none that high. I found 5 sites that sell the same 1 box of contacts in the $40-$50 range, with some going lower when you buy more. It really felt like they're taking advantage of insurance by having me only pay $21/box and charging insurance the rest. Considering they billed insurance $130, I don't see any reason one should have to pay anything out of pocket for 2 boxes of contacts. Uncertain if I'll go back

She answered all the questions I had about my glasses and new contacts. They speak Spanish, Vietnamese, and English. They carry a large selection of glasses with many sizes to choose from. There is also plenty of parking in the plaza. 10/10 recommend
