All the hype is true. This is the most professional and welcoming optometrist I've ever been to. The staff is amazing, they work with you to minimize all your costs and show you every penny of where the money would go based on how to your insurance is allocated and any costs that you have to handle yourself. I've never waited more than 5 minutes for anything at the office and they're incredibly prompt on informing you when your new glasses have arrived. I'll be moving out of the area in a few months but plan to make the drive back here. They deserve the loyalty read more

Awesome is their middle name! I would recommend it to my friends! one of my lens has fell out of frame yesterday, I thought i have to buy another pairs of glasses plus a frame. Then I found dr. So on yelp, i felt the welcoming as the first step I walked in to the store. They are professional, helpful, friendly and the most important part is the price is decent! They told me I can keep both my frame and one lens instead of changing them all. Right after 20 mins, I got my glasses fixed and it just like a brand new one! Now I know why there are lots of customers have came here with 15 or 20 years' experience. read more

Great selection and very safe. Wouldn't hesitate coming back here. Very helpful staff and very friendly! Just got Rx glasses here.

I needed an appointment ASAP due to really bad headaches and feeling that my vision was getting worse. I didn't have an appointment but they took me in as a walk in. Dr. So was very thorough and explained everything to me in detail. The rest of the staff was also great and was very helpful when it came to breaking down what my insurance would cover and other costs. They were very patient and helpful when it came to ordering my frames as I tend to be indecisive. Overall it was a great experience and I felt really well taken care of. I will definitely be coming back for future exams. read more

Dr So. is by far, one of the best optometrists I have been to. He truly is nothing but professional and cares about his patients and their concerns. I highly recommend setting up an appointment with him if you're having any doubts about any visual concerns. Or even stop buy for their selection of sunglasses and good variety of frames. 5 stars all the way. read more

Amazing team, customer service is on point. I called to make an appointment and was not too sure how the insurance works. The team in the office really helped me out. Not to mention Philip is amazing answered all my questions was extremely helpful. Mind you I haven't been to the eye Dr since I was a kid. I was a bit nervous to say the least, but My Dr. she was amazing she not only made me feel very comfortable and welcomed. Philip originally said it would take about 2 weeks for my glasses to come in. But it was in within 1 week, he called let me know i can pick it up it any time. My glasses were better than what I thought. Its been about a month since i got my glasses. Would highly recommend anyone to come here. read more

My brother had told me that he had came a yr ago to Dr. So and was really pleased with the services. So when my glasses lenses were super scratched I thought.....time for new lenses!!! I went in person to talk with the receptionist about whether my insurance was accepted, scheduling an appointment, and of course pricing. She was super nice, informative, and able to quickly schedule me. When I went in for my appointment I wore my contacts because I wanted to get the prescription checked. Glad I did because apparently my last optometrist srsly screwed up on my script. Dr. So was so amazing. He explained to me WHY I felt my script for contacts was wrong, he explained the type of astigmatism that I have, how my contacts should be, he spent careful amount of time to prefect my glasses script too. I left the consultation feeling MORE informed about my eyes than I have ever been in 15yrs of wearing glasses. When I returned a week later for a follow up, again Dr. So was so nice and never making me feel like he was rushing to get to the next person. Philip helped with the purchase of my glasses. Omg, he's such an awesome guy. Uber friendly which just makes you smile. He made sure I knew what I was paying for, pricing, insurance coverage, total cost. He too was informative about pricing and product. I ended up purchasing some new glasses I prefer over my Ray Bans. Overall amazing experience. I've been recommending Dr. So at work just because I think this doctor truly cares about his patients and loves what he does. read more

The customer service here is exceptional. They over deliver EVERY time. My daughter face planted at school on Monday, I immediately went to DR. So's where we purchased her glasses. They called me Thursday (same week) to tell me they had her new lenses in. We were in and out in 5 minutes. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate their communication and services. read more

Been coming to this optometry for almost 2 years now after being recommended by a friend of mine. I used to visit my old optometrist all the way in the 626, SGV, and it was just too far of a drive whenever I needed check-ups or an update to my contact lenses. Phil was especially helpful during all my visits, and the front desk overall was quick and efficient! Definitely recommend this place if you're in the Upland area and in need of a local optometrist. read more

I have been going here for over 15 years, and it's a great experience each time! Dr. So, Dr. Yip, and the entire staff are all extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I had a great experience at Dr. So's office and I recommend Dr. So and staff without hesitation. Thanks again!! read more

Seriously, if you are looking for a professional, extremely helpful and off the charts friendly staff, this is the place to go! You are greeted when you walk in by Philip, Jen and Cindy and they act like old friends! I know they have my best interest, and will be honest about frames when i'm trying on a million pairs (btw, their selection is really good) they will work with my insurance to get me the best deal. I really have never been to a better eye doctor. Speaking of Eye Doctor, Dr. So KNOWS HIS STUFF! he takes the time to explain whats going on with your eyes (mine have special issues, so he takes his time to talk to me) He is quick and professional and i just feel very welcome in his office from start to finish. I have recommended him to friends and family, and was referred by my good friend who's whole family goes to him. 2 thumbs up!! read more

We wanted a eye doctor near our home and someone who has Saturday appointments. Found this amazing place. I took my son and they were so nice. They all listened to our questions and were happy to answer them all. The ladies in front are amazing. The Optometrist who saw us she explained everything as she did it. Again very friendly. The man who helped with the picking glasses was the best. I will take all of my family here. I can't write enough about how very happy I am with this office. read more

Dr. So and his staff are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. Dr. So takes his time to explain your eye condition and will not simply just prescribe you a lens with a stronger prescription just to get you out the door. He is thorough in his examinations and makes an effort to connect and engage with his patients. I enjoy having a doctor who has passion in what he does. Phillip is also really amazing. Both he and the office staff are very patient when assisting you in picking the right frames. I really appreciate how they give me their honest and friendly opinion when I ask how a frame looks on me. They genuinely want you to look your best and it shows! I also like how fast the turnaround time is to get new frames and lenses done. You should check out the their amazing selection of frames, especially the huge variety of Asian-fit glasses for people with a lower nose bridge such as myself. Having your glasses slip while you're studying is never fun. All the glasses I've gotten from here have outlasted multiple prescriptions because they're all high quality so only my lens gets changed when my prescription has worsened. But honestly, my prescription has been been a lot more stable as a patient of Dr. So's than with previous optometrists I've had...maybe it's just me, or that he's just great at what he does. I highly recommend this place! read more
