Phoned in an order while driving up to the restaurant. Two cheeseburgers w/ fries and 1 dr pepper. Was told 15-20 minutes. Got to the place and sat at a table to wait after informing waiter we were ther to pick up a mobile order. Not so warm personality for the hospitality industry. Food was great tasting but unfortunately cold and burger was tough.

last-minute choice for lunch wanting to try a place we haven't been to in a long long time. First of all walking in the door there was kind of a funky smell, but either get used to it or anticipates. Service was good and friendly. Ordered bean and cheese nachos and a Cobb salad. Cobb salad was great. Tangy honey mustard dressing. The bean cheese nachos, a bit disappointing, way, way, way too much cheese and way way way too little beans. However, they very nicely deducted it from our bill, appreciate that touch of Customer Service. Will stick to my favorite Swiss cheese and mushroom burger.

I've been coming here for over 30 years. This was a regular Friday night go-to after football games and before my curfew. 30-some years later, the nostalgia hits hard, even if the cheese fries aren't quite as wonderful as I remembered. The service was slow, but we weren't in a rush, so it wasn't a bother. They were good at refilling sodas and were all friendly. This is a great spot for groups. They have a varied menu with something for pretty much any diet. I'm vegetarian and got a black bean burger and my friend got a cheeseburger. We shared an order of large cheese fries. Ranch is delicious. I'll be back. As I said, the nostalgia hits hard on this place.

If you come to Snuffers, you have to try the cheese fries. These are some of Dallas' best cheese fries. We also enjoy their burgers including the classic, BBQ Bacon Burger, and Patty Melt. Snuffers is a Dallas classic and for good reason. I recommend coming here.

When people come to the Chicago area, they typically ask where to eat. I would argue many in the suburbs recommend Portillo's for a great dog, Polish, or burger. When I began to frequent the Dallas area, I asked my work colleagues for a local chain that they might recommend. Many came back with the same response, Snuffers! The worn wood booths and dim lighting reminded me of a restaurant I frequented in college. I immediately felt comfortable! Service was prompt and friendly and the minimal menu provided just enough diversity to quell my appetite. WINGS Crispy and well cooked. Buffalo sauce was a standard heat level although they had other flavors to choose from. BURGER I loved my burger! Based on other's reviews, I went with the green chili option and it did not disappoint. The beef patty was not overworked or dense; a great eating experience that didn't leave me overly stuffed. CHEESE FRIES *Everyone* I talked to raved about the cheese fries. Here's the sticking point...they were just okay. Snuffers takes an oval, ceramic dish and layer it with traditional fries and melt shredded cheddar cheese on top. If you ask for 'em loaded, they add bacon and then top with green onions. I honestly don't get it; I could do this in my kitchen. Overall, Snuffers is a solid joint for typical bar food. The burgers are delicious and lighter than other venues; I would definitely come back for one. If for nothing else, I appreciated the drive down the street this Snuffers is located. I passed myriad restaurants and stores I'd like to revisit on my next trip!

We want to serve the cheese fries at our SMU reunion happy hour! Any suggestions on how to keep them from getting soggy? We were going to keep the fries hot on a hot plate buffet server.

the first I think of is open the box / package / bag / etc. Steam is the death of French fries. Also ask them to NOT put the cheese on . . . get it separately. Cheese is by nature wet so your fries will be as well. crisp them under the broiler… Read more

They added candles to the birthday cake that we brought in, which was very nice of them! Apps: Cheese Beignets and Zucchini Chips - both were tasty! The beignets were small and not too heavy. I enjoyed the herby sauce on the chips, but wished it was served on the side! Mains: English Pea & Potato Pierogi, Mac and Cheese, and Vegetable Pasta - they were very nice to make a vegetarian pasta dish for us, and it was delicious! The tomato sauce was flavorful. The Mac and Cheese was also perfectly cheesy and I enjoyed the garlic breadcrumbs. My favorite was the Pierogi -- savory potato's, sweet brown butter sauce, and fresh greens to balance it all out! Highly recommend!

It truly is the best beard I have ever had before. I would come eat here again JUST FOR THE BREAD. The crab cake is out of this world. Huge jumbo clumps. Also comes with a variety of sauces. The wasabi one was our favorite. You must order the crab cake! My husband got the ribeye rare and said it was the best steak he has had, and he eats a ton of steak. I got their off menu item of carne asada tacos. The meat was sooooo tender. They don't use flank steak they use a tenderloin and it just melts. The mushrooms were Devine. Glad I ordered the carne asada. The adult Mac and cheese was good but just good. Brussels sprouts were good (not the best I have had) but I think I was also just so full by this point. The asparagus is huge!!! Oh the best finisher ever- the peanut butter pie!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!!! I'm not even a dessert girl and I couldn't stop eating it. The dining room was comfortably serene with just a few select patrons present when I arrived. The efficiency of the kitchen was highly commendable, presenting the dish to my table mere minutes later. Often times after it's all said & done, you wonder - was that worth it? Thankfully, that is NOT the experience I had at Haywire! I ate here on August 9th, 2025 and enjoyed everything about it. I was with a large party but would love to return for a more intimate experience. On this Saturday, my younger cousin was graduating from Parker University so I was in town for the weekend. At around 1pm, I was one of the first to arrive at the restaurant. Unfortunately the parking is a bit confusing. There was construction being done on the same street when I went but there's a parking garage for customers that's difficult to navigate AND the elevator that connects wasn't operating at the time which was an issue for many (but not me, I got a good spot & walked). My party hadn't all arrived yet so I took a gander. Upon entering the tall doors, the space breathes southwestern elegance: wooden structure, leather seating, separate dining areas with highlighted ranch-style art. The abundance of space gives it an open-concept feel. The lighting fixtures are modern, the space was dim but not too low, with an option to utilize the large windows also. I was quiet impressed at the overall presentation. When my party did arrive, I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and a Hibiscus Haze with Vodka. The table shmoozed as we ate some of the appetizers: the Crab Dip & Green Tomatoes, both amazing. The food did take some time but, considering it was 10-12 of us, that's expected. The Hibiscus Haze was splendid: smooth & flavorful, a great concoction. Cobb salads are usually pretty thick but this one was HEARTY. It came in a large bowl stuffed with the all the toppings. The dressing it was tossed with was well balanced but could've used a tad bit more. With some pepper & a little ranch, I was set! I defeated the salad but it also left me stuffed to the gills. Satisfying meal that I would order again! There are tons of restaurants to dine at in Dallas & sometimes you never know which is worth your time. Despite the inconvenience of parking, I'd bet my bottom dollar that this is a good place to eat. Whether you want a fine dining experience, it's a special occasion or just want a good drink with a meal, Haywire has enough to satisfy all interests.

I called before deciding where to eat on a Sunday afternoon to confirm parking situations. Parking is not easy downtown so this played a huge factor in figuring where, out of the dozens of brunch places, to eat. Definitely a bit of a walk to get accommodated at the actual restaurant so valet seemed the most reasonably enticing for parking solutions. Well, I called and spoke with the lady at the front desk. I confirmed with this little girl FOUR TIMES IF 1. They had valet available today 2. If it was complimentary. Come to find out it was not complimentary. And $7 for parking just doesn't sit well with me when there are ample free options else where with satisfying beverage, meal, ambiance, and service. All of which, I DID NOT GET AT HAYWIRE. I come in and although I had a reservation that I was 10 minutes early for while noticing tables available, I was told by that same girl who lied to me about parking I needed to take a seat. Reassuring me that it would only take two minutes to be seated. 10 minutes later I see coupled and groups walking in and guess what? They were immediately sat. While I am waiting to be sat at one of the three clean tables I'm staring at. I finally tell my boyfriend I am about to eat at the bar and he goes to the hostess stand to inform them our frustration and guess what? We were sat immediately. I get seated and there are two standing fans placed next to my table that's blowing my hair all over the f*****g place. I had to tell them to turn them off. What? No AC in this place either?? We immediately ordered and got the elk tacos for an appetizer. The tacos are WAY too spicy and way too salty. Too spicy AND too salty?? They're a no for me. You literally can't taste anything because of both! I HATED these little tacos. Probably the worst I've ever had. Ever seen someone attempt to pinch a bit of salt to season and the entire top comes off?? These tacos. My boyfriend had the chicken fried steak. He loved it (loves spicy and seasonings because he's Cajun) but I tried it and it was over seasoned. Again? Couldn't taste what I was eating. The mashed potatoes were divine. Enjoyed those! And then the green beans were tasteless. Hahaha what a joke. I ordered the barbacoa chilaquiles and it was literally too spicy to eat. Inedible. My eyes teared up, my nose started running, and I couldn't taste anything after a couple bites of the spice. I was so f*****g over this place I just ate my boyfriend's mashed potatoes and we left. If I had it my way, I wouldn't have paid for a thing here. They don't deserve our money and I HATE they got a cent from me. I'm livid. I hate this place W I L L N E V E R B E B A C K

Unfortunately, everything else was a struggle from the moment we walked in. We didn't have reservations, but eventually found seats at the bar. Given how busy the place was, we figured the bar would mean faster, more attentive service. We were very wrong. We ordered two beers, a non-alcoholic drink, and three appetizers. The drinks arrived, and the appetizers followed about 10 minutes later -- fine so far. But there were no utensils. We had to ask for them, and we asked for plates as well, which never came. The empty dishes from our appetizers sat in front of us for a solid hour with no one clearing them. The bartender who took our order never once checked on us. With 3-4 people working behind the bar, only one server approached us during the entire 40-minute wait between appetizers and dinner to ask if we needed anything. The bartender told us twice that our food was "coming out shortly" -- and still, 40 minutes passed. When dinner finally arrived, my order was wrong. I ordered the Mongolian Short Rib, listed clearly under the Entree section of the menu. The bartender claimed I had ordered off a "happy hour" menu -- one I never saw or was told about -- and had swapped it for BBQ Pork Ribs without saying a word. Knowing a replacement could take another hour, my friend swapped plates with me and took the ribs. He had ordered the steak frites, which, for a rare steak, should have taken no more than 5-6 minutes to prepare. The third entree, fish and chips, was just okay -- a bit soggy and not particularly fresh. To top it all off, after everything we dealt with, the bartender never asked how our meal was or if we needed anything else. The food has potential, but the service was inattentive, disorganized, and frankly unacceptable for a busy restaurant that should know better.

Drinks were excellent. The house Chris Martini is very good and not too many other places make it like this. The other drinks were just generally OK. We ordered the following which were all pretty good: ding's chicken sandwich, roast beef/prime, rib sandwich, the ribs, the deviled eggs, chips and guac, stuffed jalapeños, and smoked trout dip. Place wrapped up pretty early at around 10 o'clock on a Monday

Honor Bar has a few hits, but it's definitely overhyped!…read more My friend and I made a reservation for dinner on a Saturday. Service was very friendly, but food took forever to arrive. Our full meal took over two hours, which was too long for some sides and salads! Drink: The Crush - was super watered down and could barely taste the grape flavor. Disappointing. Apps: Burrata Toast and Chilled Jalapeños: The toast was tasty, but nothing special. Warning -- the jalapeños were very very spicy! Avoid if you're sensitive to spice! Main: Macho Salad with Fries - The salad was phenomenal! The description doesn't do it justice. The cornbread croutons put it over the top. The fries were also perfectly thin and I loved the spicy mayo. I'd come back just for these two items! I heard great things about their previous vegetarian options that they no longer serve. They should definitely add more veg options to their menu!
