    Lunch special 11/22/25

My FIL has been frequenting Snappy Dragon for years. My husband has had his left overs a few times and kept mentioning how we needed to try it out, in person. We finally got around to going for lunch. Their lunch menu is amazing. All entrees come with your choice of rice, choice of soup, and an appetizer (BBQ Pork OR Spring Roll). The prices range from $12.50-$14.50. I got the Mongolian Beef. The entree portion was generous. Great flavor & tender beef. I picked the BBQ Pork for my appetizer, it came with 3 pieces. It was tasty, wished there was more! My husband got the General Tsos (not on the menu but they offer it as a lunch special!) He chose the Spring Roll, and Hot & Sour soup (he got my portion too bc I'm not a soup person). He enjoyed his food as well. We are itching to go back! Can't beat the price and the food was great!

3.5/5. Came here on a Weds evening. We ordered a variety of dishes at Snappy Dragon including the homemade chow mein snappy dragon noodles, moo shu pork, the 7 spices beef dish, and fried wontons which were all flavorful and generously portioned. Everything came out hot and in a timely manner. Th The fried wontons were our favorite dish, the others just didn't hit as we'd like. Also, I unfortunately ended up with some stomach discomfort afterward. It may have just been an off day as no one else in my group had issues but it was something to note. Overall, the food was tasty and plentiful, and service was friendly. There's limited parking in their parking lot but parking on the main street or in the neighborhood is available.

As you can see I have been a long time fan of Snappy Dragon, I waited forever for indoor dining to resume. I was so happy it was back, I think I only got take out one or two times in the past 4 years. I've been back twice since the reopening and sadly it is not the same. I do appreciate that they still have the same vegetarian menu, the dining room looks the way I remember it, I still love the sauces, but both meals my food has disappointed me. One of my favs was the vegetarian jiao-zi, on my first visit back I ordered 26 pieces for a lot of money. I was so upset to find that they now contain mushrooms (not updated on the menu) and I don't like mushrooms. Ugh. I probably should have tried to send it back, but instead forced myself to eat 25 of them. On this visit my friend also found her noodle dish to be different from memory, seems a machine now assists with the noodle making. My 2nd favorite is the green onion pancake, so I tried this on my next visit, the pancake was way too cakey. I showed my dining partner pictures of the old version and she could totally see what I was talking about. The Kung Pao Tofu was better, but I now have a new favorite place for this elsewhere. Portions were still huge, service was decent. I'm mostly writing this review because I don't want others to experience the let down I did, I might make it back one day but it is definitely going off my radar. The good news is the place has been less crowded, they do still seem to be doing a strong takeout game. I do like the fancy new chopsticks. You can still get tea.

Rude customer service! They couldn't get our order right nor could they adequately refund our order. This place has gone down hill.

The taste profile leaned Asian‑fusion and was truly out of this world. My husband ordered the Bulgorrito, while I went for the Huli Huli Chicken. They do not mess around with portions here. These burritos are fully loaded -- we honestly could've shared one between the two of us. I couldn't even finish mine, but now I know for next time. Chops will take you straight to loaded‑flavor town. The space is very chill and casual, with ordering done through a tablet and food brought out by name. Everything from start to finish was just so good. I'll also note that they did have one veggie option available, which is nice to see. Definitely a place worth coming back to.

He always gets the Flaming Boar burrito and it's always too big of a portion for me so I always ask for his bottom ends whenever he orders. Aside from the delicious-ness of it all, I wanted to comment on a couple things: 1) pricing has skyrocketed on food so much and although the burrito is still $17ish I think last time I checked 2) THEY ARE SO FAST! One time I didn't realize they were closing in 5 minutes so I felt bad but only noticed after we ordered and it was out in just a few minutes thinking they were ready to wrap up for the night however, we went again like a week ago mid-day and I was tired from grocery shopping so waited in the car expecting 10-15 minutes but it felt like he went in and out in 5 minutes. So kudos to them on excellent service.

We are big fans of traditional fare, but the Block is a place we are so glad we experienced and will certainly return utilizing the knowledge we garnered during our first experience. A big thank you to for helping us through picking one price fixe January exploration of your local restaurants and filling it with other ala carte additions. As we often do we ordered far too much food, wanting to explore everything off a menu that is far reaching. Not sure if our additions worked with the price fixe menu, but we sure enjoyed checking everything out. The interior is interesting with the addition of structural steel in the space to keep this heritage building (I think) standing tall for a few generations. We sure hope it's still here for a long while and will most likely come again the next time we are in Victoria. That is saying a lot as there are a wide range of restaurants in the neighbourhood, but you do want to check the Block out!

Great place when you're craving Hainanese Chicken…read more I had the combo chicken rice, which comes with your lighter Hainanese chicken and fried chicken. The Hainanese chicken was so tender and almost pure. It had depth and complemented the chicken fat infused rice. It's a nice balance and you can dip sauce into it if you like more intense flavors. I also liked the fried chicken because it had more texture to a tender dish and I found it nice to go back and forth. We also tried the noodles and it was decent and had a slow burn (spicy) to it but i like the rice dishes the best. The combo chicken was more than enough food for me - I left very full. Ambiance is casual. We arrived on Friday around 6:45pm, and joined a waitlist of 9 for 2 ppl. We waited about 25 minutes for a table. You sit down, order via QR code, and food comes out! Service was decent - nice and friendly and attentive - it's not a place where they'll wait on you regularly but it's also not that kind of setting. The chicken was steamed beautifully, and the pieces tasted very fresh. The dish came with two kinds of sauces, and both are perfectly delicious. The rice was cooked with chicken fat and juices. It is high in calories, but it's worth it once in a while. My complaints for the place is, I wish they would offer a stir fried vegetable dish. I think veggies choices are lacking a bit on the menu. Also, I noticed their floor were extremely greasy and slippery. They put down black rugs in main walkways , but on the way to the restroom was without and I almost slip and fell. They really need a deep clean to their floor, or someone might fall for real.

All the staff were pretty chill and nice. Love all their smiles. I got my favorite, Beef Stew. I ordered this often in Lynnwood site, especially when I was sick. Regarless, it's on different location, the taste is the same! So, I'm happy about it. The vibe is completely different than Lynnwood one. This restaurant is darker and guests are way louder. Mostly, university students, I think. I like dim light atmosphere, unfortunately, I can't enjoy it much here. Too loud? Too dark? Or it's just not the right light bulbs, it got me dizzy. It was at night, it made the room even gloomy. Upon returning to the parking lot, the atmosphere is somewhat unsettling. This is particularly true for a woman walking alone. To access the parking lot, I had to walk through the darkness to the back of the building. Unfortunately, due to the narrow parking lot, one car was parked in a manner that blocked the exit way, requiring me to reverse all the way out. Overall fantastic staff, fantastic food, but I may not comeback because the vibe just doesn't suit me. This restaurant will most likely be very busy in the better location and fresh look.
