I order takeout from this place often and my order is always fresh, hot, delicious, and accurate!

Another perfect meal, and then some. I find that I can stretch out all this food for three days or more. This time I ordered the Seafood with Vegetables S-12 and did not disappoint. Prawns, scallops, squid with tons of fresh veggies in a white fish sauce. It does not come with rice; a large order is $7 extra which I always do. The egg rolls are fabulous @ 4 for $8.00, chicken or veggies. The fried pot stickers are the perfect side they are sooooo freaken' delicious. The BBQ pork is expensive now, but delicious cold the next day. So many other dishes to try. They are the only place open for delivery until 2:00 a.m. Never had a bad meal here. However, the Almond fried chicken is the same chicken that they use for the orange flavored chicken--deep fried balls. The Almond fried chicken should be a sliced breast. Our group was up in the area after watching a movie late at night. We all craved some Chinese food and this restaurant happened to be open late. The layout of the restaurant was odd. The lounge area didn't seem to be open and there were a lot of space used for storage. It gave off a very Asian homely vibe. To the right is the actual dining space and bar. There wasn't very much structure to the restaurant. It was a bit disorderly which threw us off. I don't think they keep up with the cleanliness of the place. That's the only negative comment I would have to make about it. When it came to the food, it exceeded my expectations for Chinese American food. Based off the Yelp ratings, I did not think I would enjoy the dishes as much as I actually did. The Yelp reviews were probably outdated. The food came out in big portions and served hot at the same time. The dishes were cooked with flavor and was pretty on par with other Chinese restaurants I've been to. The hospitality was great. Honestly so disappointed lol.. I thought by reading reviews from others that I wouldn't be a wasting my money, WRONG. Ordered a simple veggie fried rice and general tso's chicken and both were horrible. Rice had no taste of any seasoning but oil and the chicken was soggy, sauce taste like it's from the bottle, super watered down also states it's "spicy" on the menu & there is no spice at all. At first glance, this place looks sketchy on both the exterior and interior. They have just a few seats inside and are probably mainly a takeout restaurant. However, the service was actually quite friendly and the food was a solid 7/10 for late night chinese food. The Dine in atmosphere was weird, all the tables were pushed together on one side, they were closing for vacation for a month so maybe that's why. The Mongolian beef was delicious but the fried rice was mushy, and not much flavor. The crab Rangoon's were good. What the heck did I walk into?! If ordered through a delivery app maybe I could've been fooled. We were staying a couple blocks away, it's cheaper to walk and pick up than get delivered. We saw the sign (earlier in the day) and the crowd thinking "oooh it must be good!" Ha! Little did we know the sign placement made it look like it was busy but turns out the crowd we saw was at health clinic next door. We walked in and there wasn't any tables or any place to sit. The entrance is in a small parking lot with a hand painted "Public Parking $5" sign. The front of the building had boarded windows. Looks like a drug front. We decided to give these guys another run and unfortunately, this experience was worse than the last, requiring me to reduce my final review of this place to 1 star. All the same players were back, there was the woman working the counter. The older women doing prep work and the cook. Again, we had to place our simple 3 item order multiple times, because the woman couldn't focus. She asked what we wanted, then after we told her, she grabbed a pad and asked again, then she asked a 3rd time after she wrote it down. This time we did Mongolian Beef, Potstickers and Steamed Rice. That is not an order you should have to take more than one. 10 minutes in, I think she's coming out of the kitchen with Potstickers, no, she heads to the upstairs area and comes back with the cook, who appears to have been sleeping up there. So now the wait begins. About 15 minutes later the beef comes out and sits on the counter, but when they go to get rice, there is none. So I guess it was still cooking, so we had to wait a few minutes and they didn't serve the beef without the rice which meant the beef was room temp when we got it. Halfway through the meal, we asked about the potstickers and a couple minutes later, they were served. Again, the appetizer being served after the meal. Also, the potstickers didn't look like the photo we saw. These appeared to be food service, meaning they bought them in bulk, they had no flavor and had been microwaved. For the prices this place charges, the portions should be larger, the service should be better and there should be far less confusion. Another couple came in after us and they fumbled their order as well. That couple looked at us with a puzzled look and we just smiled, because we already knew. I don't know what's going on here, but clearly the dine in experience is different from the take out experience. Sure, maybe they are open until 2 and some of the dishes are tasty, but it's an absolute circus when you dine in and when you consider there were no other customer or orders when we placed ours, there is no excuse for the amount of errors we experienced. read more

Delicious!! Ordered through Grub Hub as the reviews there are good. My food arrived fast and a very courteous driver who took great care of my order, it was steaming hot !! I ordered General Tsos Chicken, Hot and Sour Soup and Pot Stickers. All delicious! The Hot and Sour was really tasty and had so many vegis and Tofu pieces I almost got full with a cup, I just want more though it was so delicious and instantly took away a bit of a hangover from last night.. The General Tsos was really flavorful.. I wish restaurants would cook a little more crunchy but this was less bready then other Generals Tso I have had lately.. The chilies in the sauce was extremely tasty.. I ordered Hot and it was just a spicy but not too spicy sauce full of bits of chili. The sweetness of the sauce took away the spicy a bit...I ordered a small rice that was $2 as well. Lastly the Pot Stickers were really doughy, but reading other reviews they should be. The pork mixture inside was so good and it came with a little container of yummy Gyoza sauce.. wish I got two. These Pot Stickers are huge! They are going to be great for leftovers. This is my go to Americanised Chinese food place in Seattle. The potions are enormous and it always arrives piping hot despite being located pretty far away from me. The four seasons green beans are the absolute best, do not skip in those, but every dish I have had has been pretty good. We started off with the potstickers and the General sows chicken and I went for their noodles their chow fun. They make them from scratch and they are outstanding and have that smoky taste. They were out of this world. I loved the potstickers and he loved the chicken. Next time I ordered a family meal deal they came with everything for like 50 bucks. It had the wonton soup that was just delicious. Couple eggrolls that were yummy. Then it had sweet-and-sour chicken general sours chicken chow fun and something else. It makes me sad to leave this review, but when I was waiting for my pickup order here I saw a rat run from near the entrance, towards the bar, and back to the entrance area. I arrived early for my pick up order and didn't mind waiting, but after seeing that I had to leave. I've never seen anything like that before. I have ordered from here before but had it delivered so this was my first time inside the establishment. The food was good the last time I ordered, but now knowing about the uncleanliness of the establishment itself I question the safeness of ordering from this restaurant in the future. Straight up - this place delivered a live cockroach "on the side" with my Singapore noodles and beef with scallops. I'd have preferred an extra fortune cookie, but ok. Seriously - it's been hard for me to write this review because, well, mistakes happen, I usually try to ignore occasional reviews about someone finding a hair in their food, etc., and there have been nights when I'm up late working, didn't have time to eat enough during the day, and this place had saved by bum. But this was only my 3rd time (at most) ordering from this restaurant, and I just can't give positive stars to a place that (a) delivered a live cockroach (not something that happens nearly as accidentally as a hair bc what happened here requires a full-on infestation...), and (b) fought me for 20 minutes over the price of their menu items that were literally listed on their own website. (And I was ordering directly through them - NOT through a 3rd party service.) But the cockroach incident was honestly pretty traumatizing, so much so that I still haven't called to ask for a refund, even though I threw everything away and should report them to health and safety. Look - there's just no way I've been able to think of that explains how this happened other than the cockroach originating from the restaurant. It was delivered directly by the restaurant. I took the bag directly from the hand of the man who delivered it when he came to my door, walked the 10 feet from there into my kitchen, and set the bag down on the counter, which did not have anything else near where I set down the bag. A live cockroach immediately crawled out and started to scuttle across my counter and away from the bag. I have never, ever had something like this (or anything close) happen to me in all my years of getting takeout or delivery. I've lived in this apartment for over 8 years and have NEVER seen a single cockroach anywhere in our building. We have occasional spiders, but never cockroaches. And besides, it obviously came from the bag. If it didn't originate from the countertop or kitchen at the restaurant, then it must have come from the car of the co-owner who I believe is the person who delivered it. But that's unlikely because cockroaches don't typically inhabit cars (they prefer warmer, indoor climates, from what I've read). Not only did I have to fight to simply pay the price listed on the website for overpriced, bland food, I was also delivered a live specimen of the most disgusting pest ever to grace the homes of unkempt Americans. I still feel sick when I remember it. Just...don't do it. Don't order from this place. They need to clean up their act, literally. And yeah, I still want my refund. read more

Eleven years since my last review, how life has changed. Tonight after a long trek from Home Depot, I followed the glow of the Jade Lounge sign for some to go food, having decided to skip the too expensive Fu Shen. The first thing you see outside the Jade Lounge is a sign that says "public parking $5." And the restaurant is just kind of wild. There was a place in San Francisco called U-Lee that slightly reminded me of it except U-Lee had no bar. It was a family, cooking in the open kitchen, and the tables were off to the side. In this case, the bar pretty much faces into the kitchen. I ordered Veggie Egg Fu Young and Broccoli with Garlic Sauce, which had a little pepper beside it on the menu designating spicy. The meal took a very long time. Ultimately they gave me three very massive deep fried Egg Fu Young patties and a large amount of broccoli in a rather sweet but garlicy sauce. It was a large quantity of decent Chinese food for a fair price. I've taken note of a prevalent business model in this area: bar with Chinese restaurant. Fu Shen up the street from Jade Lounge should follow suit - then people could hop down Aurora from the Mandarin Gate to Fu Shen, to Jade. I think ending at Jade for their food would be my choice, based on return on quality, quantity, and cost. read more

Very bad delivery experience. I ordered on Grubhub, and it was scheduled to be delivered by 1:45pm on a Wednesday afternoon. By 1:45pm the food still didn't arrive. I called the restaurant and the lady told me that the delivery would be delayed to 2:30pm and asked me if I still wanted the order. No apology at all. I agreed. Then she called me only about 10 min later saying that the delivery would be delayed to 3pm. I started to get annoyed and angry and asked her if 3pm was definite. She totally ignored me and only kept asking me if I still wanted the order. I demanded apology and also compensation for wasting my time. The lady kept ignoring me and only asking me if I wanted the order. While still on the phone, the lady once again postponed delivery to 3:30pm. I ordered delivery on Grubhub and paid the delivery fee and planned to give a cash tip. The restaurant proceeded to call me and ask if I was going to tip and said if I wasn't going to tip they could not deliver the order. I was annoyed by this and asked the woman to cancel the order. Then she kept telling me to cancel it instead of her and I eventually just hung up because she wouldn't agree to cancel it herself (probably bad for her contract with grub hub). I called grub hub to make sure the order was cancelled and the representative was surprised because restaurants are supposed to deliver the food regardless of whether a tip is automatically included. I'd say something about the food, but I never got it. I placed my order trough eat24.com just after 1045pm and after over an hour wait (I live less than a mile up the road) the delivery guy came with my food and a mobile card reader. He ran my card on my doorstep and it came up declined. He started screaming at me for having no money which i explained to him was not true, I had just checked my account before placing the order, and to please keep it down. He ran my card again & again it came up declined, I told him that there must be a problem and that I would call my bank in the morning. I also told him that I had never had a restaurant wait to charge me at my doorstep, usually they charge me prior and call if there is a problem. I told him had he done that I could have walked over to the convenience store next to my house before they closed and used the ATM. He tried to run my card 1 more time & than threw it on my lawn while storming off screaming. The driver woke everyone in my house and the next door neighbors, refused to close my front gate, & let my dog get loose (after searching all night we found him the next morning). I told the eat24 website what had happened and they apologized and I placed a new order with a pizza place....they had no problem running my card. 30 minutes after the driver left (1230am) he called my cellphone & asked if I wanted him to come back. I told him "no, I placed a new order with someone else & surprise surprise everything went trough". He got very pissed & started screaming at me & told me never to order again. The next morning when I called my bank I was told that not only had I been charged, I had been charged all 3 times he run my card totaling $53.00 (so the guys little card reader was wrong). read more

The second delivery time was waay off. An hour and a half later and all we got was excuses. No I'm sorry, we're behind, etc. Not even a call. So, I ordered from here tonight via EAT24. The ETA was 7:35, a full hour from when I ordered. I ordered mapo tofu, egg rolls, pot stickers, and fried rice. My issue is NOT with the food (although the egg rolls could have used some actual flavor). My issue was with the absolutely poor service and delivery window provided by the restaurant, as well as the inexcusably rude treatment I received by the owner. The mapo tofu was good- not the best I've had but better than most I've experienced here in Seattle, and not loaded with peas and carrots. The potstickers were thicker than some (like bao in some Chinese cuisines), but having been to several Chinese restaurants in the area, some use a thicker wrapper than others. They were also home made and the filling pretty good with a nice hit of ginger. However, the sauce was too sweet, needing garlic, ginger, vinegar, soy and scallion instead of sugar. I imagine the sauce was not home made. My chili garlic oil was missing. The fried rice was very good. I don't normally order fried rice but it sounded good, and I was hungry. Hence, my anger at 7:50 pm when no order was forthcoming. EAT24 called the restaurant, and apparently haggled with them for several minutes. As of 8:00 pm, the order was just getting packed up. I requested a discount, given that something that takes 20-25 minutes to complete didn't make it out of their kitchen for over 90 minutes. The owner called me directly and essentially told me to go pound sand for my discount, that he would remove the TIP FOR THE DRIVER (who had zero to do with his inability to run an efficient kitchen). Then he told me that if I had picked it up, it would have been ready in 20 minutes. I told him it didn't matter how the order got in my hands, that if he had no business promising it for 7:35 pm when he had zero intention of meeting that deadline. He hung up on me. Then the driver called me, telling me it was ok if he eliminated her tip. I told her no way. She said she could be to my hotel in 10 minutes, and I said fine, just leave. She was here in 10 minutes. I gave her an extra tip, and found out it was her father who owned the place. She kept apologizing. I said it's not your fault your father has no regard for treating customers with some measure of respect. That was my experience in a nutshell. If I was grading them on food alone, they would get 3.5 stars. But the service knocked them down to 1 star. If I could give this jerk zero stars, I would. read more

A friend and I were in the mood for some late night Chinese fare and this ended up being the only place that would deliver to us, however I'm happy to say that it was SUPER gravy. The delivery guy was super nice and they delivered the food pretty quick, granted I do live kinda close to the restaurant. We ordered the first family-style dinner and it was a ton of food on the cheap! I'd recommend to anyone who isn't opposed to some super tasty down-and-dirty greasy Chinese food. This has been my go-to for months now. I usually go for the chicken fried rice, honey walnut chicken, vegetable egg rolls and egg flower soup. Which is exactly what I ordered from their website online tonight. ETA pickup time was 9:26. As I pull in the driveway at 9:35 I see rats running all over their parking lot. Running in and out of dumpsters as well as the work area or whatever they have going on in a large shed that's covered with tarps. I really hope that's not where they store extra food. I sit in my car for a minute not sure if I'm wanting to proceed with my order because my appetite has vanished. I feel bad because I had already placed the order, and didn't want the food to go to waste- like I said earlier I come here often, I don't want to upset the workers. I walk into the restaurant at 9:40- a women walks over to me confirming my order thinking she's going to bring it to me - NOPE. Her and her mom begin making my meal. Seeing the rats was my first red flag, so I watch them from a distance as they prepare my food. Neither of the women had MASKS or GLOVES on. As the younger woman was finished frying the egg rolls I ordered she picked them up with her bare hands to put them into a to-go container. To make it all worse, a man came into the restaurant in a panic wearing a headband/flashlight(assuming he was doing work outside in the dark) to the back of the kitchen, helps the woman make my fried rice WITHOUT WASHING HIS HANDS FROM COMING OUTSIDE. I placed the order at 8:26 tonight and it was delivered at 9:15. I was so looking forward to decent Chinese food. First, I opened the box of crab Rangoons there was no crispy alluring fried wonton scent. I bit in to a chewy wonton. It needed to be fried longer and most of all the clamshell foam box it was packaged in needed to be vented. Just run a knife tip in 2 places. Disappointed we got it soggy. Second, my favorite: Honey Walnut Shrimp. It looked brown and appealing. I bit into the first: Tough, slimey and grey. I thought OK maybe its just this. The others turned out the same. UNDERCOOKED. This is NOT acceptable. This is the absolute worst Honey Walnut/Pecan I have EVER had. I was soooo mad at this. Third, the chow mein. A little under seasoned. But this was the saving grace. But after I had a few bites I discovered it was a bit oily. Lastly, who can mess up wonton soup? I open up the lid and the smell is repulsive. They put the nappa cabbage at the top. The awkward entry and dimly lit surrounding makes the place seem very seedy. As soon as we got into the building, we regretted our decision. We were greeted by deafening Hip Hop, club music that was so loud that I couldn't hear anything the waitress was saying. Once we ordered we didn't have to wait long, but we were the only people eating in so that wasn't surprising. The music played, without pause, the entire time we were there. While the food was good, it was hard to enjoy with the offensively explicit music blasting us while we tried to eat. Conversation was out of the question because we couldn't hear each other from across the table. I understand that Hip Hop in clubs is often explicit, but that is why clubs are age restricted. This is a restaurant that supposedly caters to all ages and it was only 9:30pm. The music that was playing consisted of lyrics describing, in detail, obscene sexual acts, racial slurs, explicit profanity. I felt sick to my stomach trying to eat with that kind of music so we asked for to go boxes and promptly left. I don't know if they always play music but I doubt we will ever go back to find out. read more
