Prices are reasonable- especially for the portion sizes - about $14-18 per burrito. The food took about 15 minutes to come out, and the crispy chicken was hot and crispy! Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. I tried a bite of the flaming boar, and the meat was pretty sweet, so take a note of that. The lighting was kind of dark, and the decor was very modern. All the staff were super nice. There are bathrooms in the very back, and they're pretty spacious, but you do have to go down a long-ish walk to get to them. We ended up here because the sushi restaurant next door had a 45-minute wait, and we needed something to eat. We weren't sure what to expect since Chops advertises itself as Asian fusion. Our first impression wasn't great. The restaurant felt very bare and a bit cold, and ordering is entirely through a self-service kiosk. The biggest issue was the menu--many items had no photos or descriptions, so unless you already know what they are, it's a bit of a guessing game. If customers are expected to order from a kiosk, every item should have a picture and a brief description. I ended up playing it safe and ordering the chicken katsu because it was something I recognized. It also seemed like the only option for water was to purchase bottled water. That said...the food completely changed our opinion. The chicken katsu was a tad dry, but! It waa crispy, crunchy, and tasty. The sauces were a nice touch (on the side), the rice was perfectly prepared, and everything tasted fresh. We were genuinely surprised by how good it was. We had originally planned to eat here just to hold us over before going back to the sushi restaurant, but after finishing our meal, we were completely satisfied and didn't feel the need to go anywhere else. I found that the order process was intuitive and easy to navigate. I ordered the the flaming boar burrito and the Mandu, which are crispy fried pot stickers. The Burrito was pretty good, and you do get that Mexican vibe with the first bite due to tortilla. Next you're met with the sweetness of the filling and the kick of heat. This burrito is very rich in flavors and thankfully it also has a textural quality that makes it interesting to eat. First off, I know I said this is fusion cusine but it's not really in the way you're thinking. Also, you're probably thinking there is 50% Mexican tastes combined in here but it's not really that - think more Korean wraps than a burrito. This isn't a bad thing - just expectation setting! The huli Huli bowl is my favorite thing to get here, and I would rate that alone as 5 stars. Every meal (even the bulgogi fries) is enough for 2 servings, but I usually end up eating it all at once because the huli Huli bowl is so good. Overall, Chops is closer to 4.5 stars for me. They have 3 self service kiosks you can use to order. The wait time is about 5-8 minutes for your order. I inhaled my burrito in the car. The combo of meats and ingredients provided a lot of interests per bite. I appreciated the crunchy cabbage inside to give the feeling that the fried ingredients still feel crunchy. My only criticism is that the fried textures can become drying. I'm not sure if more sauce would counter this issue. I'm definitely interested in coming again and trying other burritos.
