Dined 1/10/26 Went to Modoo with a few friends after a recommendation to check it out. Modoo did not disappoint. It was a Saturday night, so the place was slammed. We used the kiosk to put our name on the waiting list. We waited about 30 minutes until we were sat. Once at the table the service was very quick. You order on a tablet and they bring it out to you as it's ready. Paid at the very end of the meal. We ordered the chicken wings, both original and spicy. We also got the Tteok-Bokki for an appetizer as well. For the entree we all split one of the big plates, the Kalbi Jjim. Everything we ate was delicious. It was my first time trying Tteok-Bokki and now I'm a big fan. The restaurant was busy, but nice inside and accommodating. They even had mouth wash in the bathrooms . I didn't use any, but hey, it's there. Overall, definitely recommend trying it out.

Food: Tofu Stone Pot Bibimbap (4/5): Good, solid tofu with a savory and well-balanced mix of vegetables. One of the better bibimbaps I've had. Vegetable Pancake (4/5): Thick, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Very satisfying. Ambiance: A decent-sized restaurant that works well for mixed groups. Service (4/5): Very attentive and patient throughout the meal. Overall, a reliable and enjoyable Korean spot that I'd happily visit again.

Really loved it here! Recently it feels like Kalbi is too sweet and not traditional enough, but not here. The ginger and garlic truly shine through on the Kalbi! We got the Kalbi and Kimchi tofu soup lunch combo and it was fantastic! The kimchi tofu soup was really tasty. They give you an egg to break in it and I don't feel like my egg fully cooked so do so at your own risk, but I ate every last drop and it was incredible! The banchans (side dishes) really shined as well! Really quality and full of flavor! The waiter was really kind! I messed up the order on the iPad and he fixed it right away! It's super busy but organized. We came on a weekday for lunch and only waited for 5-10 minutes.

Once you ger seated, you order your food through an ipad. Simple and easy. Price will be a little more expensive but great portion size to share with friends and family. The tteokbokki was huge! Honestly one of the biggest tteokbokki appetizers I've ever been served. Definitely go for the version with cheese. It usually comes with glass noodles sitting at the bottom, which adds a really nice texture and makes the dish feel even more satisfying. Highly recommend this dish if you love tteokbokki with a twist! The spicy pork bulgogi here is absolutely fantastic. The meat is tender, perfectly marinated, and has just the right balance of heat and sweetness. Each bite has a rich depth of flavor, and the portion size is generous. Paired with purple rice and six side dishes. The Korean grilled mackerel was decent, and it was a good portion size and the fish was cooked well, with a nice crispy skin. However, the flavor was a bit too fishy for my taste, even with the seasoning. It's a solid option if you really enjoy strong seafood flavors, but it wasn't my favorite dish on the menu. Remember spines and bones are still attached so be careful when eating it.

Nice variety of Korean dishes on their menu and each order can be customizable as well from spice level to the type of protein. Their tofu soup was perfect for a cold, rainy day. I think spice is slightly lower than expected. As someone who has a low spice tolerance I think I could've gone for a regular! Their jjusami was the perfect shareable size for 4 people. We even took home leftovers because there was so much. Service was attentive. Frequently coming by to refill hot tea and water along with making sure everything tasted ok.

Never been to a Korean BBQ place where you dont cook your own meat. This spot had a long line and I totally understand why. Service was pleasant and efficient, and the dishes came out in quicker succession than expected. The pork belly was perfectly crisped and tender at the same time. Savory galbi, loved the toasted rice in the dolsot bibimbap, and the veggie pancake was light. Casual ambiance, suitable for families, date night, dinner with friends, and any other time you're hungry. Also kinda liked I didn't smell like cooked meat when we left.

I live in Federal way (where I would argue has a pretty competitive korean food scene to lynnwood) but I think Modoo is my favorite korean restaurant to date. Had been hearing about it for sometime and finally got to go, the hype was real for me! It hit all the marks for me in terms of a cozy, wooden interior + clean space + ample customers, and most importantly, really delicious traditional food! We did go during off peak hours so I'm sure the wait gets long but thankfully we got seated right away for an early dinner. Gamja tang was so good, I'd get it again but now I wanna try all the other dishes first. The side dishes were all flavorful and complemented each other well. Can't wait to make the trek to Modoo again!

Came in for Saturday around lunch time and wait around 10 minutes for a table but was seated quickly afterwords. We ordered 4 dishes to split amongst 4 people and enjoyed each one. My surprise standout was definitely the soondubu, which I've had multiple times across Seattle, but here found it to have a more full and flavorful broth. Our seafood pancake was also very filling, and our bulgogi was also very popular. I'd definitely come back again with a good party of folks for a good time.

We came on Friday around 4:15 PM, just after it opened at 4, so there was no line and we were able to park right in front of the store. We ordered using a tablet, and the food came out quickly. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The chicken wings, Bossam, and Seol-Long-Tang were all absolutely delicious! The restaurant was spacious and clean, with some private rooms available. I know they usually have long lines during peak dinner hours, so I was glad we got to enjoy our meal while it was still quiet. Overall, great food and great value!

I got to revisit Modoo this past weekend and I was reminded just how good the food was here. It is definitely the best Korean restaurant in the area. The place is always packed with people for a reason and I love that it feels like a neighborhood gem. They have an electronic ordering system for each table, so you can just place your order right when you sit down. I got to try the Jjusami with cheese fried rice, mixed soondubu, galbitang, and seafood pancake which was plenty of food to feed 4. The jjusami was so flavorful and pairs perfectly with rice. It's $50, but is definitely meant to be shared between at least 3 people. Their seafood pancake is so perfectly crispy. I'd definitely get it everytime I come back. They also give out free barely tea, and the service is attentive enough to refill it throughout the meal. I still do think the restaurant as a whole is a little pricey, but I'll definitely continue to visit.

This is one of my go to spots when I am craving Korean food. The service is always top-notch. The ambience is not as bright but has a bunch of tables and it's very spacious. They recently added a tablet to each table so that the customers can place their own orders through the app. The app, itself is a bit confusing if you have never used it before at Modoo. Once you placed your order through the app, a waiter will come and bring the Banchans and drinks, etc. I love the banchans that they provide here. It all tastes fresh and made in house. We ordered appetizers to start. We ordered the seafood pancake, vegetable pancake, and one order of fried dumplings. All the appetizers came out hot and crispy. I would highly recommend these pancakes to share with the table. For entrées, we opted out to ordering our own. I ordered the sondobu tofu soup with beef (mild) and short ribs to share. The entrées come with purple rice. My favorite is the sondobu tofu because it's so flavorful and delicious. The short ribs are really good as well and flavorful.

Soft Tofu Stew with Seafood, $17 - 4.5 Stars

I have heard of Modoo in Lynnwood for a long time. It is one of the OG Korean places that are frequented by Koreans and East Asians alike. Arriving at about 7:30, I learned the hard way that there is always a wait -- so hungry... They are sooooo popular. Luckily, staying in the waiting area and not giving up helped. Other parties on the waitlist did not return, so the wait reduced from an estimate of 45 min to an hour down to 30 min. Quite reasonable. On the day I went, I heard more Mandarin and Cantonese than Korean spoken in the restaurant. Towards the back, they have a semi-private area to handle a large party. Food is ordered via a tablet. Service and food were swift once we had a table. They refilled water and banchan expeditiously. The server team worked very well collaborating across tables. I was plenty impressed watching their dynamic and gave positive feedback to the manager. Other than the table and the ordering tablet being a bit sticky, it was an excellent meal with fair prices and good service. The Food: LA Kalbi, $32 - 5 Stars This is hubby's favorite Korean meat dish. Theirs is served sizzling on a hot platter. The pieces are meaty and generous for the price. He was hungry and polished off all the food. Chicken Wings, 6 pc, $10 - 4.5 Stars I wasn't planning to order wings, but when I saw they are charging $10 for six pieces. I was like - sign me up! Their "spicy" is the typical yangnyeom flavor - sweet and spicy. Excellent wings and well flavored. Seafood Pancake, $22 - 4.5 Stars Their version is a little uglier than others, not quite rounded. I rather like the imperfect look to show it was hand made to order. I also prefer extra crispy and brown toasty edges. Theirs fit the bill. Packed with scallions, squid, and shrimps, and more, this was a satisfying haemul pajeon. Soft Tofu Stew with Seafood, $17 - 4 Stars Soft pillowy tofu and plenty of seafood are delivered simmering, bubbling in broth. My odd complaint - there wasn't that much tofu in this bowl. With so much broth and plenty of other food ordered, I took most of this home and made two more meals by adding soft tofu. Still a winner. Banchan, $0, refillable - 5 Stars For the true Korean food eaters, banchan makes or breaks a meal. Side dishes are the unspoken queen of the meal offering varying flavors to complement the hot bubbling soups or sizzling meats. They offer six varieties - spinach, radish, potato salad, kimchi, fish cakes, and acorn jelly (a rare offering in restaurants but common in households). They were all well prepared and delicious. Yum.

I've enjoyed everything I've eaten here. Standouts include the seafood pancake, army stew, and octopus stir fry. The pancake is stuffed full with filling and crispy + delicious dipping sauce, the army stew gave us enough leftovers for 2 days, and the octopus is special bc they use whole tiny octopus. The banchan spread is also solid. Service is good despite it always being busy. My favorite Korean spot in the Seattle area

Food: (5/5) I always drive 164th so I've been eyeing this spot for a long time. My partner and I decided to finally stop by last week and our minds were blown!! We got the fried catfish, collard greens, black eyed peas, corn bread, and sweet potato pie. Everything was AMAZING. The catfish was crunchy on the outside and perfectly succulent on the inside. The black eyed peas and collard greens were both delicious savory additions to the meal with great texture. The cornbread had additions of cheese and peppers, and was a yummy mix of sweet and salty. The sweet potato pie, which we learned Andre's wife makes, was beyond addicting. If we hadn't had a snack before coming, we would've cleared everything immediately. We plan to try everything on the menu, especially the fried okra! Service: (5/5) This was probably the most memorable food experience I have ever had. Andre, the owner, is extremely passionate about his work and it shows in everything that he does. I tell my non-Asian friends that they should leave an Asian restaurant if you don't see any Asians inside. I am happy to say we were the odd ducks in this place! Love me some legit soul food. The menu is straightforward. We ordered at the counter. The food is brought to our table. The food took quite a while with big crowds coming in after us. I suspect they cook in batches as multiple groups received food at the same time. It was mostly self-service (utensils, water) until the restaurant quieted down, then we saw servers cleaning tables, etc. The Food: Combo Dinner with two sides, $26 - 5 Stars The combo plat offers two meat choices. I chose the wings and catfish. The wings are sizable and plump. Highly recommend. The catfish was a thinner cut and a bit dryer. I liked the very thin breading on the catfish, not greasy, and it tasted good with Tabasco. For sides, both the collard greens and fried okra are excellent. In fact, I say the okra is perfection! The little corn bread is just right for me. I thought the corn bread has good flavor while hubby said it was too dry. Catfish Dinner with two sides, $24 - 3.5 Stars Hubby complained the catfish was too thin. He's not a Tabasco person, so that doesn't help. I gave him two wings to calm him down. Lol. He loved the hush puppies the best. They are huge with a wonderful crisp. I agree with him! He thought the yams are too sweet; they do look sweet in the liquids but isn't that want yams are intended to be? I think he just needs to order differently in the future. Note they have a 3.5% service charge for credit card purchases. See line on the menu photo.

We were there a bit later, just before 8 p.m. on a Monday, and easily got a table right away. I didn't want too much food - at my age I've learned my eyes and stomach are rarely on the same page - but I definitely wanted some brisket...as an amateur smoker I appreciate how much work goes into beef brisket so always try it when I see it on a menu. So I went with the Happy Hour Caesar Salad & Brisket. For $8.50 it was a great value. The fat of the brisket was rendered PERFECTLY. My wife wanted the baked potato but allegedly someone came earlier and bought TWELVE and cleaned them out. Disappointing! But the two street tacos she got off the Happy Hour menu were tasty. My teenager decided to lean in and get the brisket entree. Fries and Mac & cheese as the sides with cornbread. He added some of his brisket to the Mac & cheese and loved it. My husband and I were visiting Washington for the weekend and ended up eating here twice--that's how good it is. The first time, we had the catfish nuggets, fried shrimp, and fried pork chops with collard greens, mac & cheese, and candied yams. Every single bite was on point. The second time, we made it just in time for the oxtail stew--and it was fire. You can genuinely taste the soul in the food. This place is something special. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!

We were craving some southern cooking and they were able to help us fairly quickly upon coming in. We ordered a meal with the two main and two side. In our order, we had the fried chicken and catfish. For the sides we had their macaroni and cheese and collard greens. With the meal it did come with a cornbread. We added n extra cornbread for $4. All this was a bit pricey for a meal. We ordered our food to go, so once our food is ready, they'll bring it out to our car. Which is a very nice service! But it did take a long time to get our food, I'm glad that it was fresh though. As for the food itself, I thought the chicken could've had a little bit more salt. But we did have the hot sauce on the side to dip, which made it good. The catfish was delicious, lots of flavor there. Nana's special sauce that was offered, made it even better! The sides were good, but for the cornbread. I would've liked it more moist. The place is very relaxed and chill, with many customers enjoying their food inside or waiting outside for the nice lady to drop off their order.

I'm not super familiar with the Everett restaurant scene, so I sent her a handful of options--and we landed on the most delightful little find: a beautiful African restaurant just minutes from the airport. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed. The ambience was perfect--modern and clean with stunning African art that made the space feel both welcoming and special. It even felt a little upscale, but still family-friendly (they had a couple of high chairs, which was perfect since I had my kids with me). I instantly thought, I'm coming back here with my husband for date night. We ordered the peri chicken thighs and the oxtail stew, and I'm telling you--both dishes were above and beyond anything I've ever had. The chicken was unbelievably juicy with layers of bold, rich flavor. The oxtail? Fall-off-the-bone tender, deeply savory, and so comforting I practically melted into my seat. To top it off, they surprised us with cinnamon-seared pineapple--sweet, warm, and just the right hint of spice. Every bite we had was truly out-of-this-world delicious. I honestly cannot wait to come back. This place is a gem, whether you're catching a flight, on a date night, or just craving food that will absolutely wow you.
