Unfortunately the franchisee and manager shouldn't be as such. Instead of being like every other smoothie king location ever who honors the free upsize Friday with or without the app, they decide to try and funnel everyone into getting the app in order to honor the corporate discount. My guess is so that the ownership/management can sit in the back and watch the cameras rather than come to the floor and help guests by taking orders, making them, etc. won't be using this location anymore even though it's the closest to my house. Pretty disappointing from a brand I've supported for years and never been told I HAVE to have an app in order to get a discount. Shame on the ownership, I'm sure it plays a role in why the location is never as busy as it should be. read more

This place is definitely brighter than the first time I came here. The workers, during my experience here, seem so dull and look like they hate their job. I have not seen one smile or giggle while I was here which is sad. The menu looks like it changed a bit which confused me but that wasn't much of an issue. This place has an amazing location because it's right next to the gym! So it's definitely a treat to come here after a nice workout. If I could give ZERO STARS I would. On 9/18/20 my son visited this location approximately @ 10:40 for a breakfast smoothie- Banana Boat. There were two guys working at the time. My son received his smoothie and while in his car took a sip and right away noticed there seemed to be peanut butter in his smoothie- HE IS HIGHLY ALLERGIC! He went back in and asked the guy at the counter if they put peanut butter in it- he said yes, oh sorry (lackluster apology). My son got really sick, and had to miss work because his throat started to swell. For his trouble he received another smoothie and expired coupons! I called the store and left a message for the manager Kayshla (sp?) Called and left another message with Kendrick for the manager. Needless to say I have not been contacted. I love smoothie king but I will never go to this location or the Frisco location again. They are now owned by the same man, I think his name is Gilbert. Not only is service slow since he took over (I've been waiting up to 15 minutes for two smoothies) but he is unsanitary. Today I go in to get my usual Mangosteen madness with protien. He takes my order and finishes with the couple in front of me. He then rings me up (hasn't even started on my smoothie) and then rings up the man behind me. I watch him start my smoothie and his nose begins to run. I think clearly he feels it because I can see this glob of green snot coming from his nose! I went to this location for the first time with a friend. The customer service was FANTASTIC! I wasn't familiar with their smoothies. The employees asked me probing questions to find out what I liked. They based their recommendations off my answers. I took their suggestions and was happily satisfied with my my smoothie. I used to love this location. I would go there several times a week. I hadn't been in probably close to a year and went in a few days ago and apparently there's new management. I've never had to leave a negative comment before- but man does this place deserve one. I used to LOVE getting the Green tea tango smoothie. It was the best ever, and the workers used to know me by name and order when I went in! Loved the crew! Now they are. So. Slow. I was in there for 20 minutes or more for one smoothie. The smoothie I ordered was tasteless and nothing compared to the quality I used to get. I love smoothie king, but it will be out of desperation If I spend all that money at a smoothie shop that can't even do make smoothies well. This location is the worst! I bought a Groupon voucher for this specific location. I walked in the morning to use my voucher and waited at the cash register for about 2 minutes then a lady came out to help I showed berths Groupon and she said they stop taking them I said that weird considering they just put this sale on Groupon for this location she then said it was because her manager said they can't accept them. I could hardly understand what she was saying and she wasn't making any sense. I then ordered my drink even though I couldn't use the voucher and the girl that made my drink was caught the whole time. I politely asked for a refund as I didn't want the drink anymore. Long time patron of this location so it is regret that I have to give a negative review. Apparently the business has changed ownership and I decided to try a delicious smoothie after being away for a few months. While I was in the location yesterday with the my wife, the new owner acted very unprofessionally toward a couple who had a 3 year old son (guessing the age). While they were waiting for their drinks, the child had pulled a brochure out of a display. After the child pulled it out, he accidentally dropped the brochure (which was the size of a bookmark) on the ground. As the mother bent down to pick the brochure up, he berated her for letting her son run around and ruin the display. Verbatim of what he said: -Ma'am, you need to pick up the brochures that your son dropped and, if you are going to be in here, you need keep your child with you. -Please do not touch the displays in the future. Again, she had already picked up the brochure, but he continued to berate her. Not acceptable. Very unprofessional. I have gone to this location for over 10 years and I have never seen such lack of respect for people that the owner displayed. He should be ashamed of himself and I will no longer give a dime to this location. read more

When I walked in, I saw two employees working behind the counter. One was a young guy and he welcomed me when I got in. The other older guy didn't say anything. He was to "busy" working on something by the register. I ordered something then waited for a while for my smoothie. While I was waiting, the older guy was instructing the younger one as though he was training him, but he wasn't so kind in his delivery. The way he instructed him made me uncomfortable. I guess I'm just use to people being kind and helpful to me as I'm being trained. I later saw that the boost/supplement in my smoothie had something in it that I didn't want. I asked if they had started on my smoothie, and they said that they had, I asked if I could have something else. The older guy was rude and said that they already started on my smoothie and that the ingredient were listed with the smoothie. I told him that the ingredient for the boost/supplement concentrate was not listed by my smoothie and that after I ordered and moved down the line I saw what was in the concentrate. I let him know that I did not want what was in it. He was condescending and made it seem like I was forced to buy the smoothie that I did not want. I don't normally cancel my orders, but when I read what was in the concentrate, I was put off. Plus, the list of ingredient for the concentrate was no where near the smoothie menu. As a customer I hold the right to change my mind. He didn't seem to understand this. They younger employee was nice and apologized for the other employees ruddiness. I decided not to purchase anything from them and left. Oh well. I guess I'll go to the Smoothie Factory that is across the street. read more

I purchased a Groupon for $5 towards any smoothie at this particular location. I walked in the store around 7:30 PM today. Closing time is at 9 PM, yet the employee was washing all of the blenders, sinks, etc., as if the store was closing. I stood at the cash register patiently waiting to place my order for approximately 4 minutes. When he finally turned around to serve me, I was told by him that his manager stated that they were not honoring any Groupons. Strange, as others on the Groupon site confirmed that their coupons were honored. This experience is enough to make me not patronize the chain any further. Over the years, both the quality and customer service have decreased exponentially and certainly are not worth the ever increasing prices. I successfully used two of the five vouchers, however, on Thursday 4/6 I was told that the owner was no longer accepting these vouchers that expire on 7/23/17. Vanessa (I think that's her name) was very nice & didn't deserve my complaints, however I did write an email via their website & am expecting a prompt reply. I have also reported this issue to Groupon, who is opening an escalated investigation into this matter. I will be reporting this to the authorities & the BBB if this is not resolved.
