I've been coming to this Starbucks for about 10 months now, and while I could talk about how they're always consistent with my meticulous order or how efficiently they handle rushes, I really want to highlight something that's become rare these days: genuine hospitality. Every time I walk in, I'm greeted by at least three baristas, all with sincerity in their voices. It's such a small thing, but it makes a huge difference. I know how easy it can be to let the "welcome in" fade after saying it a hundred times a day, or to assume someone else already said it, but this team never misses a beat. That kind of consistency and warmth is amazing. About six months or more ago, I would avoid this location because they had messed up my drink orders more often than not; but now this is my favorite location in Allen to swing by. The baristas are always friendly. The drive thru line can be busy during certain times of the day, but moves relatively quick. Their coffee and espresso always tastes great! read more

I will start off by saying that I've been wanting a Starbucks close to my house for quite sometime. I had no idea Starbucks would reply so effectively. I use this Starbucks not only for the drive through service, but also for walk-in sit down service. Starbucks does a great job of presenting a consistent brand regardless which location you go to; there's some variance, but typically not much, this Starbucks is no different. Drive-through - The drive through is typically pretty fast, I've had faster, but I think that any new business needs to find "it's center" first. They always get my order right and that's a major plus. I'm always greeted with a great attitude, that's also a major plus. Walk-in - I'm always greeted with a great attitude and I feel like they want me there. This is pretty consistent with all Starbucks locations, but it's always nice to have it. There's lots of seating available, I've never been without a location to sit and sip or sit and work on my laptop. The parking is good to go as well since there's a Sprouts behind the Starbucks that easily accommodate overflow. Food and Beverages - I will admit, I had a "old" pastry in one of my visits, this was when this location first opened. I called and complained, they offered to give me a free drink and a refund. I didn't accept as I'm more than happy to ignore one bad experience. JUST DON'T LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN, I DON'T PLAY WHEN IT COMES TO BANANA BREAD. LOL. Overall there's not a lot to write other than to see that this Starbucks is up to par and I'm pretty confident they will do nothing but improve. Glad to have you so close Starbucks. read more

Very disappointed came here at 7:30pm and they are supposed to be open till9pm there were so many cars just sitting in the drive thru people trying to go inside to spend money and the employees were just inside with doors locked playing on their phones . I typically do not go to Starbucks a lot so tonight really gave me a reminder why I stopped going to begin with . Please if your employees do not care about their job or they are to lazy to do their job get rid of them and start with whoever is supposed to be managing them to begin with . This is so unfortunate and if this was my buisness and I seen what's is going on and seen my employees on the clock shut down almost two hours early with several paying customers outside looking confused I would be extremely disappointed. When this location first opened the drive thru line was always backed up, the wait to get a drink was always more than 15 mins. With time it got better. Now it's the only location I visit for my favorite monthly Caramel Frappuccino with extra caramel treat! The staff is always friendly, the sitting areas are always clean. read more

Every time I come to this location, as someone who manages retail, the customer service is terrible. I'm assuming management here isn't that great because almost all of the employees look and act like they hate their lives. Today, me and a friend came through the drive through and forgot to order one thing so we asked at the window and the employee simply said nothing. This Starbucks is right across the street where I work and I wanted to get some coffee before my 2pm shift. I arrived in the drive thru at 1:40pm and there were about 6 cars in front of me. At 1:53pm I had not moved an inch, and I was extremely frustrated. I exited the drive thru and walked inside. There was no line inside. There was 1 girl who was working the drive thru and about 3 other employees talking and not really working. I was disappointed especially since most other starbucks are fast. I went back yesterday and they had about 6 cars again in the drive thru. I didn't even chance it so I went inside immediately. Got my coffee fast and by the time I was back inside my car, the drive thru hadn't moved again. All in all, I'll probably only end up going here just out of convenience but am not happy how this one is run. Don't waste your time in the drive thru. read more

i've been coming to this location for years as well as been employed by them. everything is usually great, but today when i tired to order the drink i've ordered a million times from this location they said they couldn't but the oat milk on the side for the oat milk shaken espresso due to the fact it would now be two drinks. that doesn't even make sense because you would still be using oat milk inside the drink, all i wanted was for it to be on the side so i could measure how much i wanted to add in. the shift lead then had to come out and say they don't put ingredients on the side when i've done it a million times at this location as well as others. he wouldn't even let me explain and cut me off when i tried. very rude and unprofessional, will not being come back to this location. read more

I just started going to the Starbucks because I just moved to a new location and this one seems convenient. I go about six days a week because I work 42 hours a week and it's super close to my job I come every morning before my shift and I get a strawberry açai with lemonade no ice no infusions and then I like to get a tall cup of ice because I have my Starbucks water bottle and the tall cup of ice and a grande drink fits in the water bottle perfectly. I wish I paid more attention to their name tags but Brian is super friendly and so is the whole morning shift. I get to sit peacefully for the first 20 minutes of my day and enjoy my breakfast and they always greet me and say hello and they always tell me goodbye. Sometimes I go to Starbucks twice a day after work I can't say much about the afternoon shift just because I don't see them as often and they seem more busy because it's kind of during rush hour I assume but they are still just as nice. The Starbucks is always also so clean and it's kind of funny I don't know if it's the only Starbucks in this area but I always see the same exact people on certain days so you can tell that the Starbucks is amazing because they always have the same regulars. read more

For this location specifically the drive-thru takes about 8 minutes on average. The employees have always been very friendly & I like the ambiance inside. This is my favorite Starbucks! I live in McKinney and pass at least half a dozen Starbucks locations on the way to this one at the corner of Alma and Exchange. It has a great layout for those who work remotely and it is not often crowded. The staff is super friendly and know lots of their regulars by name. They are quick with their orders too! The baristas have always been kind and even would remember my name. Lately they have hired new baristas that maybe haven't gotten the memo about being nice. Specifically a girl named Jazmyn. She was very rude to me when i came in this morning. I have never been so mad at a worker in my entire life. She was almost mad at me for ordering more than one drink. I walked in and told them my name and the usual barista said "it will just be a minute we are working on it now" i said okay and waited patiently. 10 minutes went by so i started to get frustrated but i didn't say anything and just say there. Then Jazmyn goes "sweetie is gonna be a minute" in a nasty tone. There have also been many other instances like this because all the sudden this starbucks has something against teenagers. I'd give negative stars if I could. It all started last year when I placed an online order and upon arrival still had to wait over 15 minutes for my drinks. I wound up leaving with one of my two drinks and had to call corporate for a refund and to file a complaint (Starbucks isn't worth being late to work.) I gave them a second chance weeks later when my 8 year old and I stopped in. I was in need of WiFi and this was the only place that offered it close to his school. We ordered two drinks and two snacks. His kids cocoa and the two snacks were ready quickly. Then I waited 27 minutes for the last item. When I went back to the counter they tried to tell me I didn't order anything else. Thankfully the stickers on the cocoa and snacks clearly showed a total of 4 items ordered. I had to reorder my missing drink. While waiting for it a second time my name is called for a drink that I didn't order but guessing the young lady that took my order got it wrong. I handed it back to the manager while he handed me the right drink and told him about the wait and mess up. No apology or anything. I called corporate again. Today was my first time back in over 2 months. I have the flu and I desperately wanted hot tea without having to get out of my car. I waited 20 min in the drive through, fine. I get home, climb out of the car and scream as my hot tea pours down my front. All over my phone, wallet and myself. The lid wasn't on. Three tries and I'm done. I'll happily drive an extra half a mile going forward. I've been a gold member for years but this is the worst Starbucks service ever. read more

Let me start off by saying that I am a regular at this location specifically. There are many other locations closer to me, but I choose this one because of it's fantastic quality... Coffee is always great, food is always great, and the baristas are always wonderful... With that being said, I was actually in the cafe the morning user "Barbara B." was there. I even thought to look on Yelp soon after this incident, because this women specifically asked for this workers' name, and I knew someone was going to complain and get the story wrong. I also sometimes like to just sit and watch the baristas, because their work is just incredible... So here's what actually happened: On this particular Thursday morning, this very very busy cafe and drive-thru store had only 3 baristas working. One working the drive-thru, one making all drinks (cafe, drive-thru, and mobile orders), and one working the front register, cooking all food, and brewing coffee... This young lady orders through the cafe and waits for her items near the end of the bar. She couldn't have been waiting there longer than 5 minutes, when the worker on drive-thru saw how displeased this woman was. Trying to make the situation right, the barista said (and I quote) "I'm so sorry ma'am, we're down three people. We're doing the best that we can." When this women leaned over the counter, pointed her finger at this young lady and very loudly stated (and I quote) "Don't you talk to me like that today. It's not MY fault you're down three people!!". Being caught off guard the barista smiled, said okay, and went back to her job on drive-thru. This is when the women stormed out, but then came back in to ask for the name of this worker. Now. I understand people are in a hurry to get to places they need to be, but that does not give anyone the right to be arrogant and impatient due to YOUR failure to manage time... Yes this store has been in better places, with quicker times, and more staffing, but it's not the fault of the workers who are trying to pick up the loose ends, and it's not right to treat them as scum over something as small as a pastry. SO, if you're wanting a great cup of coffee served by a smile and great attitude, stop by this location because the workers are wonderful and truly are "trying the best they can". P.S. her name is spelt "Jazmyn", she is a wonderful young woman, and for my own sake as a regular customer, I hope I don't encounter this negative customer again. read more
