Creme caramel

Came in on a Saturday afternoon during the grand opening. I ordered a crème caramel with almond milk and a French Vietnamese au lait. For food, we got a croissant sandwich (there are multiple options like turkey, bacon, sausage, etc.), a hashbrown, and a pretzel sausage cheddar pastry. The food was really good, but I wish they offered more condiments--we only got two ketchup packets for two large pastries. Our food and drinks were brought to our table, though I'm not sure if that's standard or just because it was the grand opening and the café wasn't too busy. The atmosphere was a nice touch, with board games on the side and a quiet vibe perfect for studying. There were plenty of people with laptops, and it felt like a great spot to get work done. One unique detail I liked was the menu's sizing--it's based on the number of espresso shots (double, triple, quad), which was fun and creative. Overall, a solid experience with tasty food and drinks. The staff seemed new, but that's expected for a grand opening. I'm excited to see how this place evolves!

I only tried one drink and it was ok, albeit kinda small for the price. The place was clean and quiet during our visit, and the server was friendly. Not sure I'd return...it's out-of-the-way for me, and didn't really impress.

I've been having a hard time finding a bakery that makes laminated pastries since moving to the…read moreNorth Texas area from Denver (think Bakery Four and Black Box Bakery) and this bakery hits the spot. The typical bakeries in this area (Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen etc) are often chains, and focus on soft breads such as donuts and cakes, with the token boring croissant, and the Asian bakeries (also chains) offer a completely different style of breads, so to finally come across a place with innovative crisp laminated pastries is a treat! Note - they do not sell breads. I visited on a Friday morning around 8am and although there were only two people ahead of me in line, they were already out of almond croissants and I took the last sausage roll on display (but the bakers were probably baking more). There was a continuous flow of people in and out. The location is definitely set up to be a to-go place and NOT somewhere you come to sit and eat. No ambiance. No need to bring the friends and family, just send someone to buy a box of treats and enjoy at home. Being in a strip-mall complex, parking is easy.

I got some pastries to go and I'm blown away by how cute and delicious everything was. They looked…read moreso good, no one wanted to eat them. They looked like a piece of art. The pastries were so big that 3 people were able to share one with their coffees. It was the best treats ever!
