Got the: Paramore - Honey Walnut Matcha with Brown Butter Salt Foam - and wow this was amazing. Suppose to originally be made with hojicha but they told me they got a bad batch of hojicha and said the matcha verison would be a good alternative. I can't even imagine how much I would have loved the hojicha version (hojicha is one of my favorites). Really made my morning when I got this! Sopapilla Latte - honey, vanilla, cinnamon - my 2nd latte I ended up getting when I was in the area again ha. Was great I don't think my research for some of the best coffee in town was wrong coming here. Interior was much larger then I thought. From outside it seems like a small shop in Mckinney. Only street parking available and definitely didn't help with whatever event was in town when I came with half the streets shut down with detours but you will still be able to find parking somewhere near I enjoyed this place quite a bit and would definitely come back!

Over priced coffee- paid $10 for a 16 oz latte- and they only offer their "in house expensive milk" which is just a sweetened whole milk. Wasn't a big deal to over pay initially for this adequate latte - BUT- when I asked the status on my drink after it being 10 minutes of being here and others getting their orders, and mind you- never hearing my name called.... The 3 snobby girls behind the counter looked at me like I was an idiot and like I was trying to scam them for a drink- while there's only 5 customers here- ummm. ??? After confirming my name, they said "they called my name". As they did not bc there was no drink present. They made snobby faced responses as I walked away to wait again for my drink - that "only took 2 minutes to make". Also, the customer before me had to ask for her missing drink. My friend and I were not sitting far from the barista counter and could here these ladies gossiping about customers and being just quite rude and snobby. Customer service here is absolutely lacking. The coffee is okay but not okay enough to be $10!!!!! The "secret garden" shown on their instagram is not accessible to customers- apparently it is only available for planned events.

The hours were limited, but I was lucky to see that TexaKona FM 107 Drinks and Cafe had a lot of the really cool beans from TexaKona. I walk in and the place is located in a large building. There are lots of other quaint shops, and this coffee shop looks really cool and has a great feel. The young lady behind the counter greeted me with a smile. I told her I was looking for beans and she began explaining the different beans they have there. She even offered to make shots so I can sample the beans. While I didn't take her up on trying shots, I did take her advice on what beans to buy, and for my first trip, I purchased two bags of Journalist Blend. I'll sit on these beans for 2-3 days since I'm just now finishing my last bag of existing coffee, but I look forward to dialing in these beans. Back to TexaKona. The place is clean, very cool look, and they provide incredible service. I will return, and I will bring the wife!

From the outside this looked like a boring strip center with yet another coffee place, but the inside was bustling with activity. They have a side room that is long and narrow. There is a conference table with chairs around it. Off to the side is a conversation nook with couches and chairs around a large tree stump that serves as a coffee table. Although the room is walled off from the rest of the cafe, it has a thin double glass door that doesn't keep the sound contained and doesn't provide privacy. The floor was concrete and bare and the high walls allowed noise to ricochet making it very difficult to hear anyone speaking. It was free to meet here, so we made due. I'm intrigued enough that I hope to return and try out their menu in the future.
