Nothing screams like a great coffee like this one in Texas. From the IG to review this is worth going too. Walking in, yes it has a very earth vibes mix with the element of coffee. Coffee let's talk about it like amazing, good and perfect. Like I would say no one can compete this coffee shop of all over Dallas area. Coffee smells beautiful, tastes smooth mix with the perfect balance of coffee should be. Taking perfect every sip you take, doesn't feel like you want to stop drinking it. Yes they do have food and I heard it does get sold out. Staff the people are so nice and amazing, and if you are lost puppy like me definitely ask them don't be shy. They will help you out. This is my favorite coffee shop I have ever been to! The staff is so friendly, the atmosphere is great for working or for just catching up with friends. And the main reason, the drinks are SO good. They always have fun seasonal drinks. My sister and I got the Peter Cottontail which is a latte with carrot cake syrup and it was amazing. All of their drinks had the perfect balance between not being too sweet but also not being overpowered by the espresso. Worth the visit every time! read more

It's a cute coffee house! It's very large and spacious for working/studying and just general chilling with your cup of coffee. This is in a very walkable area that I have been to only a handful of times. I was here for a quick little minute and got a bourbon latte and an everything Cruffin! I have never had a cruffin before, but this was a pleasant surprise! I was asking the girl behind the counter if I need to order a separate cream cheese, but she said no because it's inside! Nice big space for a coffee shop! Plenty of seating to sit and enjoy your drink if you want to. Came on a late Friday afternoon and got a bluebonnet matcha. The woman who took our order was helpful in suggesting a matcha flavor as I typically go for strawberry but wanted something different. After a few months of searching, I think we've finally found our new go‑to coffee spot in McKinney. The place has a great vibe, and both the coffee and the food are on point. One detail we loved: all of the drinks are named after local streets in downtown McKinney, which gives the menu a really fun, hometown personality. Has anyone ever had sweater weather? It's actually the name of a drink! Apple cider with oat milk and cinnamon, it is so festive and cozy! I paired this with a blueberry loaf and let me tell ya, this loaf was texas size. It was perfect with the sweater weather. Inside is gorgeous! Easily one of the best designed coffee shops I've been to in the DFW area. The barista was incredibly sweet! Although our interaction was brief, I could tell she was a really nice person and it's one of those small interactions that lightens up your mood :) The inside is really spacious. However, the Tokyo Latte - described as a sweet floral latte reminiscent of Japan's cherry blossom season, was disappointing. The description sounded intriguing, but had I not known this was supposed to be a floral latte, I wouldn't have picked up on the flavor because it was subtle. I also prefer a stronger coffee taste and a creamier latte. I had heard good things about this coffee shop, things like best coffee I've ever had. But I was disappointed I won't be returning after trying. Coffee was just ok, I got the peanut butter one it was hardly hot, and there were no pastries :( all of which I'd give another chance for if it were not for the extremely unfriendly cashier. She seemed impatient and like we were a bother for not ordering fast enough even though no one else was in line. Another girl came after we ordered and then they made her drink first while I stood there waiting for my order. How wonderful is it when your beloved community library has now an excellent coffee shop in the vicinity? Well that is Collective coffee for you in downtown McKinney, very close to Roy Helen library. It is a treat to enjoy their carefully crafted coffee! What I love is that they don't have a mile long variety, and yet what they have in their menu is absolutely wonderful! I have gone back for their Virginia drink multiple times. Their ambience is chef's kiss! Gives me a wonderful sense of community. And all their staff and baristas are amazing. I have been a customer of Collective since they opened their doors and have enjoyed many visits with friends and family for the better part of 2 years now. I have witnessed many Bible studies over coffee, pastors meeting with individuals, women catching up enjoying tea, business meetings, people working - it truly is a place for people to gather and do life. The coffee is very good and I love that they make all their own syrups. They offer savory food choices that sell out quickly and a wide variety of pastries that are delicious! The staff is always warm and welcoming as well. Don't be surprised if you have to wait for a seat though, it can become quite busy at times - that's a good sign! Their coffee menu is very simple with a couple seasonal options. The lattes were both well balanced, creamy, and smooth. The Notebook latte had rose and juniper syrup but was not overly sweet. It was just the right amount of sweetness and added flavor. The chocolate croissant had the perfect flakiness with a touch of butter. The inner layer had chocolate pieces on the bottom with a custard. I very much enjoyed it. My boyfriend mentioned it was the best chocolate croissant he has in North Texas. The service was efficient, we got our lattes in a manageable time even with the business of a holiday weekend. The ambiance was a dark modern aesthetic with a touch boho by using real pathos plants at the table and walls. The lighting was dim enough to create a warmth in the coffee shop's environment. I would say it's diverse in seating arrangements. They have options of bistro tables and chairs, a couple vintage couches, or long tables for larger groups. My favorite coffee shop in McKinney. Great atmosphere, comfortable seating, friendly staff and amazing coffee. I love all the unique flavors they offer... try the Kentucky! I come here to work often and have not had a bad experience yet. There are plenty of plugs for those with laptops which is very thoughtful for a coffee shop to have. I've seen people bring in their dogs to grab and go, and love that they are dog-friendly. They also have great gluten free options, which I'm very excited about! I don't have to drive 6 miles to find a morning breakfast option. My only complaint about this place is the parking. Get there early! read more
