    Honeycomb pastry + Adeni chai
    Elaine M.

I was really excited to try this coffeehouse! I didn't know there was a coffee place in this little strip. You can't tell from the outside but once you're in the door, it's a really open and beautiful space! There is every type of seating you can think of: cushioned seating, table, bar seating, etc. Great place for meeting up with friends, doing a little work on your laptop, or reading. There's a full drink menu of coffee and teas, I got the adeni chai (it's STRONG), which is black tea with cardamom, nutmeg and milk (sub oat milk) and their signature honeycomb pastry WITH the honey drizzle on top (you gotta, it's delicious and not too sweet). The pastry case wasn't really full but I don't know if it was because I was there late afternoon. I'm excited to go back to try other teas and pastries.

Cozy, Quiet & Full of Flavor - Qahwa House I've visited Qahwa House twice so far--once on a weekday morning and again over the weekend--and both times, I found the atmosphere to be calm, cozy, and perfect for studying or catching up with friends. The space is large, clean, and beautifully designed, with a peaceful vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. What I Ordered: On both visits, I went for the Adeni Chai, and it instantly became a favorite. It's rich, smooth, and full of that spiced, comforting flavor you hope for in a good chai. Highly recommend if you love traditional blends done right. Dessert Dilemma (Solved): There were so many dessert options on display that I had to ask the friendly girl at the register what the most popular item was. She recommended the Khaliat Alnahl (Honeycomb Bread)--and wow, I'm glad I listened! They warmed it up and drizzled honey over the top. I originally asked for a to-go box because I thought I wouldn't finish it... but spoiler: I finished every last bite right then and there. It was that good--soft, sweet, and just the right amount of indulgent. Why I'll Be Back: * Quiet atmosphere, even on weekends * Great for solo work or friendly meetups * Authentic drinks and desserts with quality service Qahwa House is the kind of place you'll find yourself coming back to again and again. Can't wait to try more items from their menu next time!

Seeing a few of these Yemeni Coffee houses popping up nowadays. The great thing is they keep later hours so it's a place to hang late nights. Qahwah House is pretty big inside with lots of seats in various arrangements that is well suited to accommodate groups. We saw a couple of big families while we were here. Where you might run into problems is how busy it gets. We were here on a weeknight and it was pretty full! Our group got a medium pot of the Adheni Tea and the Honeycomb bread and triple chocolate cake to accompany that. The Honeycomb bread is not super sweet and I would call it interesting. The triple chocolate cake was fine but nothing special that i would crave again. The tea was really good and strong. The medium pot was enough for 2-3 servings for our group of 4. I would enjoy coming back here, especially later in the evening after dinner.

This place was such a hidden gem! Got the iced mango latte and their honeycomb bread- so so good. The drink was sweet, the matcha was smooth and their bread was so decadent. One of the best matchas I've had. Atmosphere is great and the servers are so nice! Only catch is that it's on the pricier end but expected for an artisanal coffee place.

Strawberry cheesecake swirl & a lavender flavored matcha tea latte!

I came here with no expectations, just looking for a nice coffee spot to relax in. Didn't expect to come and absolutely LOVE this place! The BEST matcha I've ever had and I've tried matcha from a few different places. This had to be the most authentic tasting one yet! The staff is always so welcoming. I enjoyed my experience so much, I've come 3 days in a row. Their brownie cheesecake is one of my favorite desserts. I tried a Kanaufe (I hope I spelled that right...) for the first time, and I wasn't disappointed. It was very light, but it paired well with my matcha. Thank you so much for the hospitality---it meant more than you guys know!

The coffee house vibes are giving here! It was clean, cute and comfortable with lots of room to spread out. Service was fabulous and we were given suggestions on what to order for our first visit. Everything suggested was fabulous! Iced Pistachio latte, Iced Yemeni Latte and the honeycomb bread Pictures of food, drink and decor were Instagram worthy.

Come for the tea, skip out on the pastries. I did not get to try any of their more authentic sweets because they were sold out but their cake slices and other pastries just seem like your average coffee shop bakery items that you can't figure out whether or not are from Restaurant Depot or not. Service was good, quick and easy. Order at the counter, they give you a buzzer, and you pick up your food. Not sure where to return the dishes since everything is glass and they have you throw away your own trash in one of those standard restaurant bins. So you have a tray full of dishes with nowhere to put them. Clear signage would be beneficial. Overall the ambiance is meh. You get better ambiance further into McKinney at Escape 360. The seating isn't comfortable enough for you to come and work remote but it's a great place to catch up. Overall; while there is room for improvement - if you come for a good cup of tea you will find one.

A Taste of Yemen in McKinney: Qahwah House Delivers a Coffee Experience Worth Savoring There is a poetry to Yemeni coffee--an ancient cadence, a story whispered through spice-laced steam. At Qahwah House McKinney, that story unfolds in every sip, every bite, an homage to a tradition that predates the modern coffeehouse by centuries. From the moment you step inside, the aroma wraps around you like a well-worn tapestry of cardamom, cinnamon, and the deep, almost mystical allure of slow-roasted 100% organic Arabica beans. This is not just coffee; it is an elixir of history, a bridge between past and present, poured into delicate, steaming cups. The Triple Chocolate Cake--a revelation of velvety richness--dances on the palate with a balance of bitter cocoa and silken sweetness, while the Turkish Chocolate Torte, evocative of Dubai's most decadent patisseries, is a study in opulence: dense, luscious, unapologetically indulgent. Yet, it is the coffee that commands reverence. Every sip is a testament to craft, to an unwavering dedication to purity and depth. The first taste hums with the vibrancy of sun-drenched coffee cherries; the finish lingers, warm and complex, a whisper of spice and earth. In an era where coffee culture often leans toward the performative, Qahwah House McKinney reminds us of something elemental: that a perfect cup is not about trends but about tradition, terroir, and time. Go. Sip. Savor. This is coffee as it was meant to be. Amazingly friendly service and great recommendations!

I'm so glad this place is so close to home. I find myself here on multiple occasions from catching up with friends, to needing a little me time, or in between work appointments. Lots of space for groups of varying sizes. The adeni tea, and pistachio latte are my personal faves. If you have a sweet tooth, try the hazelnut tart, or pistachio tart. The sweetness is the perfect combo with the tea. Also their honeycomb bread is hands down my favorite of all the ones I've had a various other tea houses.

Service was kind and patient when ordering. Pastries incredibly good. Drinks are top notch. Gorgeous interiors and good for either catching up with small to larger groups or simply working. A little on the loud side but expected.

A very good experience at Qahwah House this morning. My friends and I went for the first time here. Upon entering, the lady behind the counter greeted us with a big smile. The smell of coffee beans pleasantly filled the atmosphere. I ordered a cappuccino, it was well made, the evaporated milk was thick, it didn't dissolve right away like it happens in other low quality places. Big and good selection of coffee and tea. They have also a varieties of delicious cakes. The chocolate and the pistachio one highly recommended. Nice decoration inside and clean. I will surely return very soon!

Delicious!!! The pistachio latte is excellent! Made with house made pistachio milk and not too sweet. The pull apart bread with honey and cream cheese is so good! The manager was so kind and gave my friends and I one to try for free. Lots of space inside and seating to sit and work and read.

The typical bakeries in this area (Plano, Frisco, McKinney, Allen etc) are often chains, and focus on soft breads such as donuts and cakes, with the token boring croissant, and the Asian bakeries (also chains) offer a completely different style of breads, so to finally come across a place with innovative crisp laminated pastries is a treat! Note - they do not sell breads. I visited on a Friday morning around 8am and although there were only two people ahead of me in line, they were already out of almond croissants and I took the last sausage roll on display (but the bakers were probably baking more). There was a continuous flow of people in and out. The location is definitely set up to be a to-go place and NOT somewhere you come to sit and eat. No ambiance. No need to bring the friends and family, just send someone to buy a box of treats and enjoy at home. Being in a strip-mall complex, parking is easy.
