This, in my opinion and without question, is the best donut shop in the entire state of Texas. The Donut Tree has a wide variety of specialty donuts and pastries that will cause you to believe you are sitting at an outdoor café on the Avenue des Champs-Élysées in Paris, France. If you just want a donut then stop at a QT gas station but if you want to experience something very special, including amazing customer service, please stop at the Donut Tree because I promise you it is beyond comparison. read more

Cronuts! Delicious!!! Flaky and tasty. And a wide variety of other kinds. Plus kolaches, drinks, etc.

Nice little place I decided to go check out based on reviews I read. The donuts are pretty good but nothing I would drive out my way again to get. If you are near Custer & 121 it's worth trying them out. The specialty donuts were probably my favorite but almost $4 each so like in my case a dozen donuts plus donut holes and tip nearly $40 read more

The atmosphere is nice but does not justify the price for the food. The donut holes were dry and inedible.

Best donuts around! Very clean and places to sit! Nobody does strawberry donuts/donut holes like them. Definitely worth the price everytime! Fresh donuts and friendly service ! Highly recommend! :) read more

I only tried their kolache, chocolate donut holes and regular donut holes. Their kolaches were ok. I've had better in other donut places. Prices were a bit on the higher end. BUT the donut holes- both chocolate and iced were delicious!! Omg the texture was perfect for a donut. Flaky, crispy and yet soft at the same time. The flavor was amazing. Sweet but not too dense either. These donut holes made me want to return and buy all the other donuts!! Definitely going to go back to try other donut flavors. They seem to have a really good recipe and a perfect way of cooking them! read more

We did the work for you and taste tested every donut place in McKinney and this was the winner hands down. The jelly filling was fresh, fruity, and full of flavor. The glaze on the donuts melted in your mouth and the blueberry donut was pillowy. All of the donuts were moist and packed with deliciousness. If you are wanting to indulge, look no further. Also, the baby size donuts are a big hit for little hands! Go here, you will not be disappointed! read more

Went here for the very first time today and super impressed! Love all the offerings they have. They have slightly more varieties than regular neighborhood donut shops. In addition to the regular donut offerings, they have some specialty ones too like cronuts, matcha green tea donuts and s'mores donuts. They even have some French macarons too, which I didn't try. Everything was priced very reasonably. Both workers were friendly and followed Covid precaution with mask. Highly recommend this shop and will definitely be our go to donut shop now! read more

Our new favorite donut place! I hope to become a regular soon. Great selection of quality donuts - not too sweet! - a full beverage fridge with iced teas and juices, cute coffee bar and overall very clean and inviting. It's so nice to have room for tables so customers can stay and eat, many other shops are small and don't offer a place to sit. Highly recommend. read more

Some of the best donuts I've had! The donut holes just melt in your mouth. They also have a great variety of specialty donuts. Mini donut holes, donut sticks, creme brulee, maple-bacon; All are great ways to change up your typical donut order. read more

Clean, cute shop. Donuts were interesting flavors and very pretty. The cronut one was really delicious. I do think they are overpriced though compared to other donut shops in the area. I wasn't expecting a dozen donuts to come out to $23. I think they should throw on some free donut holes for that price like all the other donut shops do. read more

I saw this location on my way home from work one morning. I'm now addicted to the donut tree! I really love their jalapeño kolaches and their croissant donuts! Service is always fast and friendly and the shop is kept clean. read more

This is a great neighborhood donut shop. The store is super clean and with a modern decoration. Staff was really nice and sweet. And for the donuts, best! The mini donut holes are super cute and delicious with the right amount glaze coated. The owner is super creative with the specialty donuts -- from design to the taste. I particularly like the strawberry cream cheese one. read more

I went here this morning donuts always taste fresh no matter what time you go! No to mention there strawberry donuts hit the spot.

First time visit and I am not disappointed! They had a huge variety, from your plain Jane glaze all the way to the fancy donuts you would get at Hurts donuts. Kolaches, muffins, pretty much every donut shop selection you could think of. Wide variety of drinks, good prices. We were given 2 free hand made masks with our purchase too! The mother of one of the workers made them and they are better quality than most I have bought. Will be returning and suggested you visit this place next time you want donuts and friendly faces!! read more

Just had breakfast at the BEST donut spot! They just opened. The owners are wonderful and the place is so cute! Their donuts and coffee are amazing. We homeschool and they even had a perfect huge table we can do that at! Thank you for opening up so close to home! read more

Cronuts fantastic and glazed were typical. Tried some gourmet- Hurts type donuts. Not.the.same. Got a red velvet with what appeared to be cream cheese frosting.Frosting was soured tasting and not even a resemblance of cream cheese frosting. It literally ruined the donut, although I scraped it off and the donut was nothing to write home about. My 7yr old would typically eat ANY frosting, and she took one bite and asked if she had to finish it??That bad. Please don't tempt me with gourmet style donuts that are a huge disappointment. Please fix your frosting And cake style donuts you call red velvet. I have a great cream cheese frosting recipe or the internet has tons of them. What you are doing is an abomination. Keeping fingers crossed. I want to like it. Right now, I can't. read more

Thanks for being us some Donuts yesterday! They were fantastic. We were shocked to open the box and find these ridiculous gourmet donuts where we thought some glazed and chocolate donuts would be. We devoured the donuts almost immediately so no pictures. Thanks from the entire team at NTB McKinney! read more

The owners were so sweet and helpful! They were genuinely interested in getting to know their customers. Delicious food too!

Fresh donuts with new flavors. Brought teens after a sleepover. Sugar helped bring them back to life

Sausages in the kolaches are tiny. Specialty donuts priced $2.50-$4. Kind of expensive. Every time I asked the lady at the counter for the price of a donut, she would take a piece of paper and look at the price. Because all their donuts priced differently, it is very annoying, unless you do not care about a price. Nothing special including green tea donut. Got my kid donut with colorful icing and a unicorn on top. I thought it was a cookie, but you can not even eat a unicorn, because it is made of sugar that feels like a rock in your mouth. What is the point of making a cute kids donut, if there is a part of it that they have to throw away? read more

I typically would never spend the time to write a review for donuts, figuring the differentiation between any one location and another is pretty small, but Donut TreeLast is incredible. The donuts I picked up last Saturday for my family were by far the best donuts I have ever had in my life. I will definitely be returning in the future. read more

Pretty meh donuts. Expensive. Very average taste. There's so many donut shops now a days so imo they need to have something to set themselves apart. This place is not that. Can think of 2 different places 3-4 miles radius that are better. read more

This is a great place to stop in for donuts for the office in the morning. My team loves the assortment of classics (glazed donuts, jelly donuts and kolaches) and cute decorated and specialty donuts (creme brûlée, maple bacon and cute character faces).
