Found this bakery through Yelp. I went out on a whim and ordered an oreo cheesecake for my friend's birthday. It was DELICIOUS and just the perfect amount of sweetness! Everybody enjoyed it...so much so that just the next week after, I went ahead and ordered a carrot cake for another friend's birthday! Lol! The cake was moist and absolutely delectable. Service is friendly. I love that they offer free samples at the cashier counter, but would love if they could label it! This place has easily become my go-to bakery :) read more

Fabulous bakery! Great customer service, and great experience all around! So many items that I wanted to try. The carrot cake cupcake had amazing spices, and the cream cheese frosting was not to sweet but balanced the cake perfectly. The mini chocolate crème pie was fabulous as well. I can't wait to come back and try the cinnamon roll! Great local bakery! read more

What better way to celebrate Pi Day than with actual pie? While it was a ridiculously dusty day outside, we weren't about to let that stop us. A quick Yelp search led us to this bake shop, conveniently nearby, and we're so glad it did! We picked up personal sized Key Lime and Butterscotch pies. The Key Lime was everything I wanted and more! Perfectly tangy, smooth, and just the right amount of sweetness. I didn't get to try the 2nd flavor so I have no comment about that. Sometimes, the best finds are the ones you stumble upon. Glad we made the stop. 3.14 Day well spent! read more

I saw them post on a facebook page about being open and having new cupcakes for sale. I immediately knew I had to check them out. It's a wife and husband owned shop in the heart of Allen. They were a pleasure to talk to and added to the hometown feel. Their selection was amazing and they even had little samples to try before you buy. I ordered the mini chocolate pie, vanilla cupcake, chocolate cupcake, and the mini peanut butter pie. My partner and I enjoyed all of them that I bought and felt the pricing was very reasonable for the quality you get. The cupcakes were super moist with plenty of frosting to enjoy. The mini pies are perfect for single servings or even just to share a quick sweet treat with someone. I do want to go back and try their tres leches cake as the sample I had was amazing. Overall, definitely check them out for your baked goods needs! read more

I like that there are samples but they should be labeled properly. The girl up front said we were tasting the coconut cream but it was obvious that it was key lime. Apple pie sample tasted like burger king's apple pie. It's good but nothing special. We ended up buying the German chocolate, chocolate cookies and the cookies and cream cheese cake. I wished the pie crust for the cookies & cream was flakier but it was still delicious. The German chocolate was baked to perfection! I loved everything about it. I would go back to get a whole German chocolate pie. read more

Wow! Their chocolate peanut butter pie was perfect. As a pastry chef myself, I appreciate a good pie that is not too sweet. The flavors were on point. The outer crust was flaky with a delicious creamy peanut butter center. The chocolate was so divine, I will definitely be back. This little gem of a place is as cute as can be with oddities for sale in addition to the sweets. Pies, cookies, tres leches cakes and sweet buns were beautifully adorned in the front. I am so pleased to have found this place while visiting the area. We will be back. read more

Today was my first visit to Moonbeam Bakery, but, it will certainly not be my last. From the moment we stepped into the bakery, we were welcomed by two very kind young ladies. Since we were "newbies" they familiarized us with the bakery items. We were even offered taste tests and they were wonderful! We left with 3 different individual pies + an individual cake slice. So, no matter what taste preferences your "sweet tooth" has, I bet you can find something to satisfy your sweet tooth at this bakery. Jeanie A. read more

Key lime was so good, crust was buttery , a lil salty, the custard was tart and creamy! So good! Can't wait to try their other products!

They have samples! We tried two different types of pie and ended up coming home with the peanut butter one. Great peanut butter flavor and so creamy! We also took home a cinnamon roll which was a good size and covered in icing. This morning we popped it in the microwave for about 40 seconds until the icing was drippy and holy man, it was like eating magic. We can't wait to try all of their sweets! Big huge recommendation to give them a try. So flipping good!!! read more
