I saw them post on a facebook page about being open and having new cupcakes for sale. I immediately knew I had to check them out. It's a wife and husband owned shop in the heart of Allen. They were a pleasure to talk to and added to the hometown feel. Their selection was amazing and they even had little samples to try before you buy. I ordered the mini chocolate pie, vanilla cupcake, chocolate cupcake, and the mini peanut butter pie. My partner and I enjoyed all of them that I bought and felt the pricing was very reasonable for the quality you get. The cupcakes were super moist with plenty of frosting to enjoy. The mini pies are perfect for single servings or even just to share a quick sweet treat with someone. I do want to go back and try their tres leches cake as the sample I had was amazing. I like that there are samples but they should be labeled properly. The girl up front said we were tasting the coconut cream but it was obvious that it was key lime. Apple pie sample tasted like burger king's apple pie. It's good but nothing special. We ended up buying the German chocolate, chocolate cookies and the cookies and cream cheese cake. I wished the pie crust for the cookies & cream was flakier but it was still delicious. The German chocolate was baked to perfection! I loved everything about it. Wow! Their chocolate peanut butter pie was perfect. As a pastry chef myself, I appreciate a good pie that is not too sweet. The flavors were on point. The outer crust was flaky with a delicious creamy peanut butter center. The chocolate was so divine, I will definitely be back. We've had the coconut cream pie twice and it is literally the best coconut cream pie I've ever had. We also tried the blueberry pie more recently and it was also super good! They have samples! We tried two different types of pie and ended up coming home with the peanut butter one. Great peanut butter flavor and so creamy! We also took home a cinnamon roll which was a good size and covered in icing. This morning we popped it in the microwave for about 40 seconds until the icing was drippy and holy man, it was like eating magic. We can't wait to try all of their sweets!
