This was my first time at a Dolly Llama ice cream shop and it did not disappoint! The service was great! The girl helping at the counter helped me figure out how to order and decipher the menu when I told her it was my first time in. I ordered the Sugar N' Spice on a Liege Waffle and it was so good! The portion was decent for a $12 dessert and the waffle was made fresh. Though we got our order to-go, the vibe in the shop was super cute and clean despite being small. Overall, 4/5 -- I wish I lived closer so I could try other menu items!

Waffles are made fresh to order, which is a plus, but be prepared to wait. One is enough to share between 2 adults, imo. I would recommend as a midday treat, more than an after dinner dessert as it's quite a lot. They have a couple outdoor tables that allow for a pleasant quick sunset outing.

Located on a newish strip, Dolly Llama has a selection of different ice cream flavors, offers bubble and regular waffles. Pricing starts at around $5 and goes up. The icecream are pretty standard flavors, with it going more cultured where they jump into Ube or Horchata. Would have been interesting to see more unique flavors or even sorbets. They have their own personal combos as well with waffle and toppings. The customer service is very friendly and they offer and solicit samples which I appreciated. Seems family owned, they gave a good heaping portion. I had the Pistachio Almond which was very smooth and I loved the almond ratio they had. Sad to see it super slow as we were the only ones there the entire time we went on a weekend. Ambiance of the interior is cute with the walls painted and all.

Took the kids here on Thanksgiving day since it was close by. We had better desserts elsewhere for that price. Lots of variety to choose from. The worker was clipping his nails at the bar after making our orders . I wouldn't be going back but had to give it a try.

This was my SECOND visit within a week and that alone says enough I got the strawberry cookies & cream shake with dulce de leche and caramel around the cup and it was AMAZING. So good I had to come back for it again! My son got the waffle and ice cream combo and loved every bite. The owner was super friendly and gave great recommendations when we asked. They also have deals throughout the week (Wednesday is buy one scoop, get one free ) and a rewards program with perks, so definitely sign up! Great desserts, great customer service, and a fun atmosphere. We'll definitely be back! read more

The staff is friendly and we're happy to let my wife & I try quite a few flavors before narrowing down to the two scoops we wanted. The Double Scoop Cup is surprisingly LARGE. I don't usually eat anything with sugar, but this week is my birthday and you don't turn 75 every year, my family and I had just had a great birthday dinner and decided to get ice cream to top it off. I eat very low carb, mostly carnivore, so I cheated. I was thinking I would just have two scoops in a cup, which would minimize the amount of sugar without a bunch of syrups, etc. What I didn't realize was that their scoops are almost as big as a soft ball. That was a lot of ice cream and only one scoop fit into a cup, when I realized how humongous the serving was I asked to cancel the second scoop before they put it into the cup and they very graciously cancelled the second scoop although I know it took them a bit to figure out how to refund half my order along with a phone call to help them. I felt bad that I put them through so much trouble but they were very gracious about it and I was grateful that I didn't have to have an over load of sugar. For an occasional splurge, like a special occasion this is a great place. read more

The ice cream was not even good and it cost JUST AS MUCH as our dinner cost for a family of 5. Went to chicken and pickle and spent $45 then this place was $40 for literally 4 ice creams. LITERALLY A JOKE. Yall are a joke, sorry. The entire night was awful. Lower y'all's prices. Oh and also, the blue monster had SO MUCH FOOD DYE IN IT, literally 1 sample my kids mouth and lips were stained blue and wouldn't come off. read more

The service was great. We just went as first timers and the owner was extremely friendly and explained the menu thoroughly and gave us so much grace when placing our order. They made sure everything we got was meeting our expectations which seems rare to businesses nowadays. I would highly recommend giving them a try if you haven't already. Their menu prices raised some flags for me but once I tried their products the prices spoke for themselves. 10/10. Small ice cream shop feel without the outdated parlor look. They really know how to draw a crowd. By the time we left the place was filled. We will definitely be back! read more

The Dolly Llama was such a yummy treat! My family enjoyed the bubble waffle cones with the blue Cookie Monster ice cream, a bunch of toppings, and delicious Nutella sauce! The service was fabulous - our server was patient with our 4 separate orders and had some great recommendations! The atmosphere was clean and they were smart to have hand sanitizer since we got a bit messy. My hubby said, "it's a soupy mess of heaven, I think it's fair to say I like it". 12/10! read more

Although the ice cream was good and we drove from downtown to uptown to try it out, it disappointed me that they did not let their customers use their restrooms. They actually sent me to other establishment and I was like really, we spent our $ and supported your business and you are sending me elsewhere to use the restroom? What a joke. Well… Dolly is a real llama who lives on a beautiful farm in the South of France. She brings joy to everyone she meets and had a particularly positive impact on one of our founders. If you know your llama facts, you know that llamas are social, friendly and outgoing animals who generally love people! Dolly, the French little llama, is all that and more! Inspired to create a unique dessert concept, the founders agreed that Dolly would be the perfect representation for their ice cream and waffle brand, bringing all that fun llama spirit into creative dessert concoctions, happy customers and great, fun vibes! This was my first time at Dolly Llama, and overall, it was a good experience. The ice cream was food, with popular flavors and no off-putting aftertaste. The inside of the store was cute, clean, and had a fun vibe. However, the service was a bit slow--even though we were the only customers at the time. The ordering process felt redundant, since one person takes your order and another scoops the ice cream after. It seems like that could be streamlined. I did appreciate the wide variety of toppings, sauces, and unique waffle options--they definitely add something special to the experience. One suggestion: avoid leaving plastic utensils out on the tables, as it comes off as unsanitary. With a few tweaks to the service and setup, this spot could be even better! read more

I had such a fantastic experience at this shop! The s'mores waffle was absolutely unforgettable. It was perfectly crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and loaded with gooey marshmallow and chocolate.
