I don't usually eat anything with sugar, but this week is my birthday and you don't turn 75 every year, my family and I had just had a great birthday dinner and decided to get ice cream to top it off. I eat very low carb, mostly carnivore, so I cheated. I was thinking I would just have two scoops in a cup, which would minimize the amount of sugar without a bunch of syrups, etc. What I didn't realize was that their scoops are almost as big as a soft ball. That was a lot of ice cream and only one scoop fit into a cup, when I realized how humongous the serving was I asked to cancel the second scoop before they put it into the cup and they very graciously cancelled the second scoop although I know it took them a bit to figure out how to refund half my order along with a phone call to help them. I felt bad that I put them through so much trouble but they were very gracious about it and I was grateful that I didn't have to have an over load of sugar. For an occasional splurge, like a special occasion this is a great place. read more

Located on a newish strip, Dolly Llama has a selection of different ice cream flavors, offers bubble and regular waffles. Pricing starts at around $5 and goes up. The icecream are pretty standard flavors, with it going more cultured where they jump into Ube or Horchata. Would have been interesting to see more unique flavors or even sorbets. They have their own personal combos as well with waffle and toppings. The customer service is very friendly and they offer and solicit samples which I appreciated. Seems family owned, they gave a good heaping portion. I had the Pistachio Almond which was very smooth and I loved the almond ratio they had.
