It's a shame the service sucks because the food is really good. When we got here we were sat but waited 15 minutes for our waitress to come to our table. Once she did we ordered our drinks and food at the same time. Once we ordered the food it did not take long to come out but it came out before we got our drinks. It was not that busy when we got here. I have worked in the food industry for years and there is no excuse for that. Other than that the atmosphere is awesome and we really enjoyed our food but the service sucked. read more

Went on Monday for wings during the NFL games and was super impressed how great our waitress Heather was! We had dine in food and also orders to go and she made sure a difficult order was done perfectly and on time. Our wings were the best they have been in a while, the garlic Parmesan seem much improved and our great waitress improved the experience even more! read more

Great place food is great the waiter she was cool people highly recommended good for family the appetizers loaded nachos is great

Went for lunch with my mom on Saturday. We waited for our meal for 1hr and 20mins. Something about the computer was down since the morning. They should have told us this before we sat down. My salad had brown lettuce that I picked throughout the salad. I do want to give the waitress a FABULOUS review!! Her name is Talin that girl was all over the place working her ass off with no help!! She needs a raise!! I felt so bad that she was getting all the complaints and no manager came out. Nothing was discounted!! This is my 2nd bad experience here. I don't think I will go back. Very disappointing read more

Came here didn't know what to expect. Was greeted by Casey and MACKENZIE on the bar. They recommended the BBQ mega nacho. Was absolutely delicious. I ended my meal with the fresh hot donuts. The girls were a lot of fun and a breath of fresh air! Nice to see in times like these. 5 stars Smokey bones!! read more

I love bbq! Smokey Bones does the job. Nice bar, plenty of parking, good food choices.

This is the 5th time we've placed an order with Smokey bones and they're out of the BBQ chicken... I can't seem to comprehend how a chicken/pork/bbq place runs out of chicken 5 times.... seems rather odd... I don't care how busy you are... you don't run out of chicken. That excuse doesn't work. And the girl who called to let us know the chicken had run out barely gave a crap... terrible customer service and terrible overall. We gave you guys 5 chances too many. Hope covid doesn't close y'all down. Good luck. read more

I went to Smokey Bones and my waitress was named Amy. She was excellent, very attentive and met all our needs and dietary requests. So pretty too!! The food was quite yummy. Thanks Smokey Bones for hiring such great wait staff! read more

First time ordering from this restaurant but let me tell you, it's baaaaahd. I ordered a $13 dollar salad so I thought it would be a decent size and really good. It was should have had feta cheese, mixed greens, onions, strawberries, grilled chicken and a balsamic vinaigrette dressing, it came with one strawberry and a few crumbs of feta. The only good thing about it was that they put the dressing on the side so I can eat it later with another salad. The chicken was the worse part because I'm sure it was frozen and defrosted a couple of times before it was grilled. read more

Alex provided excellent service and checked in throughout. The smoked wings were juicy.

Last night I ordered chicken wings, cheeseburger (cooked medium) and a soft pretzel to be delivered by Uber Eats. I expect the food will not be hot when it's delivered, but I don't expect the cheeseburger to be cooked well done, the pretzel to be almost black and the wings to be as dry as sand. I compare the cooked wings to the dinner scene on Christmas Vacation. Clark cuts into the turkey and dust comes flying out. It could be the chef was new and had a bad night overcooking things. My biggest complaint isn't the terrible food, it's the management, they don't care about their customers. I called to talk to the manager, the person I spoke with, said the manager was to busy but they would call me back. It's been 24 hours and still no call back. I wasn't looking for anything, I just wanted to tell the manager about the food. Management is too busy to call me back so I'm too busy to ever eat at that restaurant again. read more

first time coming here wings are amazing and our server was great spicy buffalo wings are top notch

So looking at the pics and then having gone there, I gotta say everything there is great but I wish they still had those dessert shakes I see in a few pics on here. read more

So glad we stopped here during our stay in RI! The food and service were so good we came back the next day as well! The smoked wings are amazing! Best when the drizzle sauce over them (versus pour ... less is more here). The bartenders are all friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend for a relaxed, low key, large portions fill up. read more

They always run out of the bbq chicken 4th time I ordered it very disappointing. They should make more especially on the weekends

2nd time giving Smokey Bones a chance, ( 2yrs ago, we came in April when y'all had the beef rib special & y'all gave my husband uncooked meat- it was icy cold in the middle!! so then we left) Two Years later.... we decided to give it a try again. we order the big nachos appetize and the chips were stale and the chicken was cold and the cheese wasn't even melted all the way & for the entree we tried y'all BYOB we wanted our hamburgers cooked thru and they wasn't , the potato wedges we're soooooo burnt as if the oil needed to be changed & then we didn't receive all our fixings on our burgers but we're charged for it!! NOW that's ridiculou!! The ambience of the restaurant sucks, y'all need to turn the lights brighter, I feel as though you have the lights wayyyy to dim its like yall trying to hide things when it comes to the food bc we can barely see it and I don't like that. The fire outside needs to be put out and Smokey bones need too to do something better or have a thorough training with everyone! read more

I'm not too sure how they stay in business. Walked in, was ignored by guy standing at desk writing stuff down. Awkwardly try to say hello. Get told it will be a minute while he just flips between pages. Fill out contact tracing form. Still stand around. No one else there, plenty of Covid safe seating available. After no joke 5 minutes he sighs and says I'll get your menus, I think he got lost doing that but he eventually made his way back. We get seated. 15 minutes later he comes past with another group and says "your server just got here, so they will be right over".............we got sat in a section no one was serving....... Another 10-15 minutes (I honestly stopped looking at the clock at this point) and we decide to leave and head next door to Olive Garden. As we are getting up and waitress comes over and we explain we have been waiting in totally now for well over 30 minutes since we walked in and not even a drink order so we are gonna head out. She says "well I just got on shift....." Got ignored when we walked in Sat in a section with no active server. They knew there was no server and never sent anyone else over in the mean time. It's 3 o'clock on a Saturday...... it's not like they are slammed. At Olive Garden next door now, been here less than 10 minutes, was greeted, got drunk order, drinks brought to table and food order in....... read more

Best place for wings! Love how their wings are so crispy and juicy but at the same time not greasy at all!!! Their Memphis bbq flavor is my all time favorite Can not find it anywhere else ....they may have the same name but other places definitely don't have the same great flavors And ask them for extra sauce and rubs to top it on the wings! read more

Ordered from door dash. They didn't have any pulled pork so they cancelled my order instead of just contacting me. Also on the door dash website showed it as being delivered. So thank for your terrible service. Like I just waited for 40 minutes to find out my lunch isn't coming. And on top of that have to deal with door dash for a refund. This is ridiculous. read more

Wish I could give this place 100 stars! And I wish I could give Amy, our server 1000 stars! My boyfriend and I were seated with her the other night. She was so friendly, attentive and funny! We had such a great night out. The food was excellent. We will definitely be coming back! read more

The food was cold and not cooked. Drink was weak and all ice. Waitress screwed up our order, Mac and cheese side was terrible tasted like cardboard. Chicken was under cooked and center was cold. Ribs were rubbery and vegetables on plate had wilted lettuce and dried out pickles. Awful. We would have complained but got a could care less vibe from staff. Don't waste your time here and we won't be back. We were excited to try the place and very disappointed. read more

Mediocre. They were out of the first two beers I tried to order. The "IPA" I did order was absolutely not an IPA. When they brought my food out it was cold. The food tastes okay, and the prices are decent, but overall this place is a letdown. read more

Good flavor but nothing spectacular. Kinda of expensive for what you get and quality 3 stars is even pushing it

Went to Smokey bones yesterday for a late lunch. We were sat as soon as we arrived. Restaurant was quiet 2 other tables and 2 bar guests. I have only been to this restaurant one other time, when it first opened. My daughter and I wanted a salad and baked potato so, we ordered the stacked potato and salad. We had the beef brisket option instead of the pulled pork. I asked for oil and vinegar and lemons for my salad. The server brought apple cider vinegar. I thought that was a different. The salad was just as good as it looked, beautiful fresh mixed greens. The baked potato was kind of old looking, I was thinking maybe they use the leftovers baked potatoes from the night before for this meal. It was good, I don't think I would get it again because of the old potato. It would have been awesome with a fresh baked potato. The toasted garlic bread was good however, once it cools off , it doesn't taste as good. The server was very nice, she did not give her name but she and I had the same feeling of the computer on the table I do have issue with the servers hair being down and not pulled back and off the shoulders. I would guess they have many hair complaints!? Kinda a turn off! Not sure how the health department allows that when serving food. For a chain restaurant it was good however, the hair down was a complete turn off! read more

I am from NJ and this food was amazinggg! I was always told that Rhode Island had lots of food gems , so as a first time visitor I was excited to check out some of those places. Authentic barbecue to say the least! I appreciate the menu not being loaded with pork (I don't eat it) as most bbq restaurants are. The beef brisket and smoked wings were the perfect create your own combo for me. I will surely be back! read more

Well I hesitated to write this but after ordering a takeout meal that basically was inedible I just have to get things off my chest. After reading some of the reviews previously written I thought this place was a pretty safe bet. I can't tell you how mistaken I was. We ordered 2 of the fried green tomatoes....SO GREASY they were a heart attack waiting to happen. Because of the grease basically they were a soggy mess. The other item we ordered was the chicken and waffle sandwich to split between the 2 of us. Supposedly it's supposed to have syrup and powdered sugar...neither was there. You could tell just by looking at the chicken it was overcooked and of course it was.....totally dry. Si now we have inedible tomatoes and a waffle sandwich (waffle tasteless and soggy too) that I paid a lot of money for and it all ended up in the trash!! t My thanks to some incompetent line cook!! read more

I first went to Smokey Bones in Virginia, and it was spectacular! I was so excited a few months ago to discover I had one nearby, however 5/6 experiences that Ive had here since has been absolutely terrible. The one my partner and I just had was completely awful though. To begin, we called several times to order for pickup and were sent straight to voicemail each time, which is weird and had not occurred before. When we arrived a young, blonde girl very rudely gave us the order, only to find when we opened the order in our car that it was completely wrong. I sent my partner back in to get a correct order, the girl was again rude and denied the order was wrong before even looking at it, and called the manager. Manager was great, seemed to understand this girl had some problems and was tired of her as well. The girl then WALKS OVER TO THE BAR AND MAKES HERSELF A DRINK. She drank the drink in front of all the customers, and appeared to stumble away. The kicker- as she was drinking her drink, the phone rang, so she picked it up and hung it up immediately as she couldn't be bothered. Customer service here generally is pretty crappy (save, the good manager and a few decent staff), but largely we've interacted with people similar to this girl. 2 stars because the food is amazing either way. read more

This place is really nice. It's one of the better chain restaurants. Many options on the menu like burgers, bbq, salads, sandwiches etc and the drinks come in mason jars which is a neat touch. The service is good too. read more

Ordered a Crispy Buffalo Chicken Sandwich to go today (day after Xmas). When I got it home, my instincts told me to cut into the chicken. Wouldn't you know, it wasn't cooked all the way thru, still pink/raw in the middle. I wasn't going to drive back on Rte. 2 w/all the traffic from after Xmas sales/returns shoppers to get another. I finished cooking it myself. Considering what you have to pay for food these days, this was not acceptable. read more

The service here is an embarrassment. The management seems to be non existent and it's basically been this way for years. The only hope of a decent bar on Bald Hill, huge disappointment. Servers are are always rude, and they have no respect. -2.5 stars read more

Was not really impressed with the quality of the food. We ordered baked chicken wings, turkey slices, sausage, and grilled chicken. The grilled chicken was uncooked and they promptly took that back into the kitchen and cooked it for us. The turkey was very salty. The wings and sausage were ok. The inside of the restaurant is clean the staff is friendly. We were greeted and seated soon as we walked in the restaurant. read more

Ok 2nd time here and 2nd time with issues. 1st time beer tab went down, no beer. This time place was half full and kitchen was a disaster. Order was wrong, food came out at different times. Food is good but come on let's get it together. Not sure I can stomach a 3rd time. read more

Another great lunch at the Bones. Jenna was my bartender. She greeted me with a warm welcoming smile and had my favorite drink ready when I sat down. I had the BBQ Burger and it was cooked perfectly. Usually love there cornbread here and got an order to go tonight. On top of waiting over thirty minutes for a single order of cornbread to go they forgot to pack the honey butter! Not to mention the bread was hard around the edges as if it was either microwaved too long or left out overnight. Either way highly dissatisfied and disappointed. read more
