I rarely go to Smash burger but I didn't have much to choose from so we stopped here (Shake Shacks line was out the door and around the corner). The place is small. Floor isn't done. Chairs and tables sticky and you can tell they don't clean them regularly. Bathrooms were also similar and hardly any hand soap. I just felt gross sitting in the dining room and even more gross after attempting to wash my hands before eating. The service was not helpful. They do not customize burgers. I got so frustrated with her telling me "we can't do that" (I.e. adding onion) that I said ok fine I'll tell you what I want and you just tell me what burger that would qualify as. My mom and I got the cheesy mac and for $5/ea it was about the size of sample at Costco. The container wasn't even filled half way. It was also just filled with grease... that is if you can over look the fried cheese slop on the top. My burger was mid. Almost like a Shake Shack burger but not as high quality. My son's chicken tenders and fries were the only normal thing however they plated our food wrong so I had to man handle our food so right person got the right food. For $45 I expected more edible food with a clean establishment. This place blows and if I were you, I'd just keep on pushin until you find a better establishment (Shake Shack is 2 min away) or walk over to Sprouts and get something from their deli. Decided to get a burger fix today. Atmosphere was not inviting and kind of dark inside. There was no music or anything and 3 people eating. The gal at the register was not welcoming and shoved a menu at me, since I had trouble deciding. I ordered the single avocado bacon and regular sweet potato fries and an iced tea. She gave me my cup to go get my drink. Ummm... they did not have any tea. Why not tell me you don't have tea. It's on the menu. Burger and fries arrived quickly. Burger was dripping in grease. Sweet potato fries were over cooked. I actually think they had been cooked already and dropped back into the fryer to heat them up. $20 with a $1 tip (hoping for good karma). I don't get how this place is still in business. This is the first and last time I'll ever eat at Smashburger. My boyfriend and I ordered pickup and got there within 15 minutes. Two burgers, chicken tenders, fries and onion rings. Our food was lukewarm at best when we arrived. Got it home and our chicken tenders were COVERED in a gritty black substance like you get at the bottom of a dirty fryer. The container had almost an ounce of PURE OIL at the bottom. They were completely inedible. Also both burgers were SOAKING wet (not from sauce, from steam I guess????) and mine was made incorrectly - missing toppings I ordered. The ranch and blue cheese cups were also only half full... How did THIS cost $50?! We tried to reach out to customer service and no one answered the corporate number. You can't submit a support ticket online without a store number ... which we couldn't find ANYWHERE online or on the receipt we received. The "help" page on the app leads to a 404. We dined here for lunch during the weekday recently and after spending almost $45 for it, we'd not want to return. My wife had a single burger , fries and a soda. I had a double cheeseburger , fries and a milkshake. The restaurant was clean in the dinning area but not in the restroom. The staff were friendly and attentive. The portions were embarrassingly small, especially for the prices were paid. This was our first time trying Smashburger and from it, we'll continue to eat elsewhere due to a disappointing experience. We primarily chose the restaurant for the #GlutenFree option and bc I had a massive craving for their brussel sprouts (which my friend had never tried). NOTE: although you cam alter and specify many things in the app...You cannot add Anaheim Peppers to a burger through the SB App, although you CAN do this through #Doordash one. Weird. Disappointing. We ordered: SMOKED CHEDDAR BRISKET $11.19 *no cheese (lactose intolerant = allergy) AVOCADO TURKEY CLUB (single patty) $8.39 *gluten-free Udi's bun $2.00 BRUSSEL SPROUTS $3.99 *No Condiments (bc we can't eat ranch/dairy) SMASH FRIES (LARGE) $4.29 *Condiments requested We had never tried these burgers or the fries by this chain. The Oreo was well blended with small inclusions of the cookie. The non-dairy ice cream was on par with many others that I've because it was a little more icy than creamy. Absolutely disgusting. The first sign that it was going to be terrible was when I walked in and all the employees looked like they hated their jobs. That should have been the cue to leave and go somewhere else (anywhere else), but my optimism unfortunately won out. The woman who took my order glared at me the entire time, which is exactly what you want in a customer-facing role. To her credit, she did enter the order correctly, but the kitchen still managed to screw it up (asked for no ketchup and got ketchup anyway). It doesn't matter, though---ketchup or no ketchup, the food would have been terrible either way. The "double classic smash burger" burger was dripping in grease, undercooked, not caramelized at all, and placed on a stale bun with two slices of unmelted American cheese. The toppings were "fine"... two small slices of tomato, one tiny piece of lettuce, and a couple pickles. The regular french fries were also dripping in oil (like they hadn't been drained at all), unsalted, and not worth eating. For $3.79, the portion size was small, but that was fine, because they weren't any good and I wouldn't have wanted more anyway. How do you mess up frozen french fries? Go to Smashburger and find out. The environment was clean and the service was really friendly. I wish I would've gotten the gentleman's name, but he was very thoughtful and caring about my questions during the order. The staff in general was very attentive and made sure I had extra napkins for my burger, which I realized later was because it was so messy as you can see. I will say that Smashburger in general is a little more pricey than what I normally pay for a burger, but it was very tasty. I think I paid as much for this burger as I would add a burger from Applebee's or Chili's. The return time was just faster without the tipping requirement that casual dining would be. I was really surprised at the brisket on the burger, I actually would've just preferred a burger of that which I don't know if it's an option or not. I definitely ordered a little chaotically because normally I get a more traditional burger but I was in the mood for BBQ. I LOVED my burger so much I ordered another one and so did my husband. It was heaven!!!! I had the classic and he had the one with avocado. I liked the charred meat which was soft in the middle but just so delicious! The meat was not dry and the toppings were the classic things. I substituted the American cheese for my favorite pepper jack. . The service was friendly. The music was low volume so you don't have to yell to be heard. My burger was not cold. They have a nice selection of side items too and I've had their Cobb salad which was good. For me these are top notch certified angus beef burgers worth it. I can't believe they're not expensive considering the quality and freshness of their meat. They're the best burgers in Tucson in my opinion. Wow! Where do I start? I made an online order. Drove home and noticed they gave me the wrong order. I called the restaurant to let them know I received the wrong order. We have eaten here twice and probably won't be going back. My husband and I had the "vegan" black bean burger. I say "vegan" because we asked before we ordered and was assured this was a vegan burger. Afterwards I inquired about the ingredients in the black bean burger. Bummer, was my favorite fast food hamburger place, until recent. I dine here once a week, they have turkey burger and gluten free. Until a month ago, they no longer have had "supplies" to provide gluten free bread. So no big deal, I asked for it to be wrapped in lettuce, 3 times super greasy and a thin lettuce, I have to use a fork and knife to eat it. Then I got slapped with small drink, turkey with no bun, smash fries, $16.34. They were not busy and they dumped so much grease and salt I couldn't eat it. My tongue was stinging from all the salt. They are now stupid expensive and asked what happened? She said "our prices just went up". More like priced out! They are more expensive then gourmet restaurants like Fleming and Sullivan's burgers.
