I've never been the biggest fan of ramen but Noodleholics completely changed my mind. The service is consistently great. The staff is patient, calm, and still impressively quick, even during busy times. The restaurant has a very chill vibe with standard tables and chairs, plus a quieter side area with bar seating but I must note that it's just for sitting,since there's no bartender. I always order the sizzling garlic ramen because it's packed with flavor. When I want extra protein, I add tofu or chicken. And if a place has crab puffs on the menu, I'm getting them. I also recommend pairing everything with their iced lemon honey drink, which is super refreshing. Overall, I highly recommend checking out Noodleholics for some amazing food. read more

Okay so I am not a soup or stew person at all but on a chilly, grey day, even I couldn't resist the allure of Noodleholics. We arrived around 2:15 and staff was making it super clear to everyone that they closed at 3 so we needed to be out by then. Mentioning this not as a complaint at all because these folks work hard and closing time is closing time so I can respect that, but if you happen to arrive here less than an hour before closing time, your only options will be take away or eating outside at one of their tables. The Guilin Spicy & Sour was super hearty and the leftovers the following day were absolutely delicious. I really enjoy spicy dishes but in order to really appreciate all the flavors of the ingredients, I'd try the regular Guilin next time or see if the heat could be dialed back just a bit. Overall an 8/10. The Taiwan beef was a big hit too. That beef was so soft, it would just melt in my mouth. The veggies were cooked but still crisp, and those noodles were perfection; thick, not mushy at all, super tasty. And the next day it was even better! Mon-Thurs there's also a $1 drink (only certain drinks ) with any entrée special so we got a chance to taste the honey lemonade (tastes exactly like it sounds) and the iced milk latte (a bit too sweet but good). read more

After a busy day of shopping with my son, we decided to grab dinner at Noodleholics--and I'm so glad we did. It wasn't very busy, so ordering was quick and our food came out fast, which was a huge bonus. We ordered the sizzling garlic noodles (mild), the Taiwan beef, and shared an order of fried dumplings. Everything was amazing. The sizzling garlic noodles had just the right kick--even though I was already full, I couldn't stop eating them because they were that good. Tip: make sure to stir the noodles constantly since the sauce pools at the bottom. The Taiwan beef was super tender, and I loved the flavor from the Chinese parsley/cilantro (I think that's what it was?). The dumplings were fried perfectly, and the dipping sauce really hit the spot. Also, getting teas for $1 with an entrée? Such a great deal. We'll definitely be back! read more

I stopped in today for my usual order, but I saw a sign that said new-house fried rice so that's what I ordered. I got it to go and it was ready in about 5 minutes. The house fried rice comes with bbq pork, shrimp and chicken. The portion size was generous but it was mostly rice and not a lot of protein. There were only 3 shrimp hiding under the rice and a few pieces of chicken. There was a decent amount of the bbq pork. The bottom of the container had lots of oil so I tossed a decent amount of rice that was swimming in oil. Overall, a delicious dish I would order again. It tasted very similar to my favorite house fried rice at Jun Dynasty. read more

I've been to the Grant location of Noodleholics many times, but this was only my second visit to the Oro Valley spot. I'm thrilled to say it's just as wonderful as its original location! I got my go-to favorites: the Chaoshou Dumplings and the Sizzling Garlic Noodles. I love the spice level of these dishes -- they're warming, with rich flavor, not just spicy for the sake of being spicy. Both the dumplings and noodles have strong umami, set off by the bite of the raw scallions scattered on top. They're truly a comfort food for me! I like to add some protein to the noodles, but they're a hearty serving regardless. The noodles are thicker udon noodles, very silky. I can't get enough of them! There's plenty of seating in this fun, bright restaurant, and the staff were a lovely, cheerful bunch on both visits. read more

Great first impression! I ordered four dishes to go (no pics, sadly). As the vegetarian/gluten-free member of our group, I was thrilled with how well they accommodated my needs. The Dry Guilin was one of only two dishes I could choose from (the other is Tomato Egg), and it was flavorful and beautiful--a treat I'd happily have again. My husband had The Guilin with shrimp and beef, which he liked, though my dish had more depth of flavor. The House Wonton Noodle for my daughter fell flat flavor-wise, while the Beef Shank Rice earned a solid 4 stars. Overall - two solid dishes, two (somewhat) misses. Every vote of meat was juicy and cooked perfectly. We tried them all. Beef shank melted in mouth. BBQ pork was tender, and the saltnpepper chicken was crispy on outside and super juicy on inside. Overall 3.5 Stars As out-of-towners, the family wanted to try the local restaurant. After reviewing the comments on Yelp, I ordered a few items for takeout. Items: Main Dishes: 1. Most popular Dish- Taiwan Beef w Wheat Noodles (mild 2 chili peppers) - a little bit heavy on the star anise but it was flavorful with the beef and noodles. 2. Sizzling Garlic w Shrimp w Wheat Noodles (spicy 3 chili peppers) - 3 Stars the wheat noodles absorb the spicy garlic flavor but the shrimp was more an after thought. Not sautéed, all ready cooked and bland. 3. Crispy Pork Rice (no spice) - 3.25 Stars - Pork was good but can tell it was a little bit more dry than usual. 4. The Dry Gullion - wheat noodle w Tofu - 4 Stars require extra seasoning ie soy sauce / chili sauce Small Dishes: 1. Pan Fried Dumplings (6) - 3.5 Stars - Same as the steamed cousins. 2. It was a bonus twofer for us: delicious food & it shares the parking lot with Trader Joe's (where we needed to pick up some items for the weekend meal prep). We went at an odd time - too late for lunch, too early for dinner - so only a few people were dining in the restaurant. You order at the counter, they give you a number then bring the food to your table. One side is restaurant seating, the other is a bar area & there are several tables outside. We opted to start with the Chaoshou Dumplings - it had a pink heart saying that it was a Noodleholics favorite & two spicy peppers. We love something spicy! Wontons were filled with pork & had a very spicy sauce drizzled over. YUM! We shared the bowl of Sichuan Spicy Beef: house-made wheat noodles in spicy, tongue-numbing beef broth, topped with beef shank, bok choy, green onion & cilantro. Oh my gosh! I could eat this every day. Just spicy enough to make you want to keep eating, good amount of noodles, beef was fall apart tender & I loved the freshness of the bok choy. The service is efficient & friendly, with staff eager to explain the menu to first-timers or help with recommendations. As we were leaving, hubby wanted to know if it was a national chain. I have recently become obsessed with the house wonton soup but I love spicy food so I love that I can ask for chili oil on the side. I don't really eat a lot of pork so they let me substitute for more wontons! I ate at the restaurant and also ordered a honey lemon iced tea which was very sweet but still enjoyable. I am not on this part of town often but I recently had a nearby staycation and knew I wanted to stop by and try this location out and I was not disappointed! I am obsessed with Noodleholics but I always order from the Grant location and to-go, so this was my first sit down experience and it was great. The restaurant is spacious and staff were very kind. Tried this noodle place 4 or 5 times in last few years. Oddly, first visit was the best & I wish I wouldve reviewed them then :/ when it was a solid 4 stars. Now I feel like it's a weak 3 at best as subsequent visits have been less & less good. I have ordered dry noodle (no broth) dishes, udon dishes, gluten free rice noodle dishes & they've all been alright. Not great, just okay. I had hoped that I would try the dishes that others rave about & I truly wanted to love it, but...I don't. Flavor of all are similar, despite very different descriptions on the menu. Maybe I haven't picked the right dish for me, but tbh, I've tried hard enough & still haven't found a dish that I love. As for atmosphere, it has sort of uncomfortable chairs (teeny low backed or no back stools) that are on the small side. One part or other is always blocked off, not sure why. Overall, nothing really relaxing about eating there. Order at counter, delivered to your table. On the positive side, it's clean & now on M- Thurs you can get one of 5 non alcoholic drinks (like iced green tea) for $1. On the not so good side, the bol choy was like eating undercooked celery - too crunchy; worse was the pork belly which didn't resemble any p. belly I've ever had - so tough I couldn't bite through any of the pieces in my dish. It's not the first time that the meat is tough and the veg is close to raw. I've gotten a bit more particular with spending $20 on lunch and this just didn't leave me wanting to come back anymore. Sorry, not feeling the addiction implied in the name. Perhaps a quality check is in order. Wish I would've taken a picture of my experience yesterday, but I was dining with a friend who hadn't tried the place & didn't want to interrupt our meal. They have become really rude and snobby here. We get $50-100 of takeout twice a week, and always tip even though we literally never eat in. This time they wouldn't give us a sauce for free, despite the sauce being LESS than the tip. Sorry, inflation is NOT that bad and there is no excuse for crappy service. This was my first time here at Noodleholics overall. My understanding is that this location is bigger than there original location. There was nice ambient lighting and dark colors. Very welcoming, and plenty of seating. First Impression: I was pretty impressed with how clean the establishment was for how busy it was when we went in. My S/O and I noticed immediately that everyone seemed to be really enjoying the food and the ambience. I had a pretty feeling about this place, so I was really looking forward to eating here! Interactions: The staff were really friendly and helpful for helping me decide on a dish for my first time here. I really appreciated that. Food: The first bite was a symphony of flavors. The noodles were soft and delicate, like they were crafted by a noodle deity. The broth was rich and savory, a perfect blend of spices that made my taste buds do the cha-cha. Service: Great service in terms of providing us with suggestions and so forth. Outside of that we only had 1 interaction with staff (which was bringing our food out) Value: Honestly for the amount of food you get, I think the value is fantastic, considering how expensive food has gotten. The portion sizes you get are astronomical. I couldn't even finish my bowl and I had plenty of left overs. I was in the mood for soup and a friend told me about this place. So I decided to try it out and it did warm me up as well as filled my hungry belly. Bellied up to the counter, ordered my food. I ordered the beef shank, they gave me a table number and it was seat yourself. When my soup came, it was a basin! It was huge however, unlike pho, it had minimum vegetables. I suppose if I could, I'd ask for more bok choy. I gave it a minute before I slurped my way into deliciousness as it was piping hot. You can tell by my glasses it was all steamed up. I will try more items in the menu next time but for now I think I found a place to fill me up. I wasn't able to consume it all and ended up taking the rest home. They did have a plastic container for you to transfer any leftovers but as a tip maybe next time, because I know how much they serve, I will bring my own thermos and forego the plastic. It never ceases to amaze me the amount of GREAT food selections here in Tucson of all places!! Yet another great place found right here in the Sonoran desert - Noodleholics on oracle in Tucson brings one word to mind - OUTSTANDING. This is one of the few places that I've been to that still make their Own noodles!!! And if you've never had a house made Chinese noodle you haven't Had noodles!!! I'm talkin noodles that Keep their bite even after soaking in all that yummy broth til that broth has gone all lukewarm ; not that you will LET it sit that long, but I'm just sayin!! The first time I walked in to the Oracle location and saw the old uncles in the kitchen i was like "O yea! This Sh** is gonna be GOOD!!!" Since that first visit I've been back a couple times, and have had a few different dishes; a couple deliveries and once there at the restaurant. The front of house staff are spectacular. SUPER friendly! (Love ur nose ring girl! ) she helped us decide on some yummy apps, and still made us feel Super welcome even though it was 40 minutes before close time (SORRY!!!) The food was UH-MAZING. We had Guillin rice noodle bowls, the Taiwan beef shank wheat noodle bowl, the Charsiu steamed dumplings app w spicy chili sauce, and the garlic cucumbers. Guys.... What I appreciate about Noodleholics dishes to begin with is their attention to detail. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the fact that, besides the spectacularly full flavored broth these soup bowls are gorgeously filled with a plethora of pickled and fresh veggies and meats to both add to and complement the broths. My son and his girlfriend had The Guillin - a beautiful clear chicken broth added to their fresh rice noodles; then they mix in spicy pickled greens n tiny bamboo shoots, pickled long beans, roasted peanuts, fresh flash cooked bokchoi n green onion, chopped cilantro, finally topped off with your choice of two meats. They chose Charsiu pork and crispy skinned pork. They described it as being salty, briny, full-bodied chicken brothy with a touch of spice. And the noodles held up without an Ounce of squish. The veggies were fresh and lent just the right amount of green crunch. But the hero here was the mix of flavors from all the ingredients to broth ratio. I chose the Taiwan beef. Now, I can't normally do wheat noodles. But I wanted to partake in the house-made deliciousness. And Man I was NOT disappointed y'all. These little noodley oodles you want to enjoy singly and with as much of each of the other individual ingredients in your bowl as you can mix them up with!! This (not so) little bowl of happiness includes - in addition to those wonderful hand made wheat noodles - a warmly spicy beef broth, super tender boneless beef shank pieces, fantasmically piquant pickled greens, green onions, here comes more of that fresh bokchoi, and some cilantro for more garden fresh herby flavor factor. They Really know how to pick the right savory mixes to pull ALLLLLL the tastiness together and then hit the perfect satisfaction quotient!! Even the Garlic Cucumber and Charsiu dumplings were on point!! The use of fresh chopped garlic is Amazing... I LOVE all the huge chunks of garlic and the way the pieces of cucumber seem not only sliced but smashed slightly with the garlic before being mixed with the Shaoxing wine and soy sauce (or is that a touch of fish sauce I taste?). Whatever it is it's ORGASMIC) I could just eat these with a hot steamy bowl of rice mmmmmmmm the dumplings are beautiful steamed with little bites or charsiu hiding in amidst each little package. They pour with crunchy garlicky oily chili sauce over top that gives it a flavorful punch that screams. Love these!! They would make a perfect snack too!! My tongue was MAJOR PARTYING yall!!! I'll start by saying that I have loved these noodles for years and I will miss eating here. Now, here's why. I ordered my favorite house wanton noodles and excitedly sat down to eat like I have so many times before. Just as the server sat my bowl down and walked away, I took my first bite of a piece of chicken from the bowl and then watched as a bug flew straight into my steaming bowl of delicious noodles. As I watched the bug drown in my noodles and broth, I got my servers attention to show her and ask for a new bowl of food. She said ofcourse and carried my bowl into the kitchen. She returned with a bowl with more garnish on top than usual but I didn't really think anything of it. I picked up my chopsticks and went for another piece of chicken only to grab a half bitten piece. It was the same food I had returned! I looked up to get the servers attention again and saw a man looking at me through the small kitchen window. I guess he was waiting to see me eat the bug noodles. Really gross and blatant disregard for their customer. Knowing that they would blatantly serve me that makes me really question their hygiene practices behind those kitchen doors.
