Drinks: hibiscus lemonade. Pretty and refreshing. Not a strong hibiscus flavor- fruity lemonade is the predominant flavor. Butter pecan Latte: aroma 10/10. Flavor was spot on. I like a different season flavor. Service: great assistance in choosing the seasonal latte. Friendly. Ambiance: I'm a fan of the decor- all things slow lol (turtles, sloths, snails). Urban but warm. Plenty of seating but is mostly communal. WiFi free for 2 hours w purchase

Love this location a little away from our home tucked into a strip center. This place had delicious smells of coffee as soon as you walked in the door . Tables had various board games on them such as chess Simpson edition, UNO and checkers for the littles. They even have wine and beer for the Bigs. Customer service was so friendly as we ordered some takeout wraps and were out quickly. They even have a walk up window and saw they giving pup cups for someone's furrbaby. Careful you don't miss it since only 1 entrance/ exit . Note: it is at the end of a small strip area so signage wasn't at end of street. Definately worth a return visit!

Breakfast bagel

Came across this recently when just searching coffee places around the area so finally made it in. Was wanting the breakfast bagel, so that was the reason for the visit, more so than coffee. Butttt, it's a cute place to grab a coffee or drink and chill. They serve beer and wine also which I did not know. The bagel was delicious, definitely recommend and the coffee was good too. I'll definitely be back since it's in the area, chill vibe! For anyone working, they have little almost one seater type work stations which were all taken up, so great place to work and have your coffee.

Ube Vanilla Latte

Wow. It's affordable, high quality and a cozy feel. I accidentally forgot to say I wanted my latte iced. I asked for a cup of ice and they insisted to remake it so that the texture was consistent. The breakfast tacos are $3.50!! I ordered an ube latte on their curated latte menu

So good had to come twice while on my short trip to Houston. Great mix of traditional drinks (cortados etc) and fancier drinks (breezy brew). If I lived in the area, I could definitely see myself coming often and working from here.

A go-to of mine when I'm in Houston, partially because it's convenient to where I stay and mostly because it's good and consistently good. They have a full coffee menu from basic drip to all the fancy things (+seasonal items), and good, quick breakfast. I like the tacos and salmon bagel a lot. They serve wine but I've never been here for anything other than coffee and breakfast items. The decor and atmosphere are adorable with tons of art and cool knick-knacks of slow paced animals... the sloth, snail, and turtle. The print of the sloth pole dancing is one of my favorites! There's a mixture of people in and out and some who are camped for several hours to work. They have board games for the kiddos (and adults, too) and a cute little vintage ride-on turtle for small ones. The staff at the register is happy to convert your dollar into quarters.

first time at this location. the lemon bar and the drink were tasty. the service was friendly and fast. the ambiance was a chill study vibe. however parking was hard to find as the parking lot was very small.

Cappuccino

I love slowpokes! It's such a vibe. I will say if you're a coffee snob, their coffee is overexctracted and the milk is steamed improperly. I got the chicken pesto panino on a pretzel baguette and it was phenomenal!

Great chat with Phil about Fleetwood Mac today after work. I got destroyed here in chess last summer by some of the master chess players at Poison Pawns chess club, which had met at this location at 6PM on Wednesdays for years. Love this coffee chain, better than Summer Moon. More comfortable, too.

It's located right at 19th St. and Shepherd near the light. There's a small angled parking lot that can be tight when people park along the fence. It looks like a cute tiny A-frame home with a few patio tables in the front. The inner area has about 6-7 high tables. It's nice and clean inside. The vibe feels similar to H-Town Brewing Co. but on a smaller scale. You can also sit at the bar. I didn't really like the high tables/chairs. They're not as comfortable. It was hot out, and there are mosquitos, so we sat inside. I ordered the salmon plate for steak night. The drinks here are ok, and since I don't really drink, I was looking for mocktail options. In this era, most places have mocktail options with brand alternatives like Ritual, Seedlip and Lyre's or at the least, something with juice, Topo Chico and simple syrup. The female bartender made me a NA margarita which was great. I liked that she didn't make it too sweet or too tart which happens with mocktails that don't have alternatives and are mostly juice or lemon. On the other hand, when I ordered a second, the guy bartender made it too sweet. I didn't like his version. For the alcoholic versions, they seem to have good cocktails, wine, beer and flights. They also have daily specials. Aside from the steak night, they don't serve food here. It wouldn't be my first choice of bars in this area.

It's worth a stop for their $1 Tiny Tini's. I tried all three flavors; the Espresso martini, lemon…read moredrop, and Cosmo- and for just a buck, each 2 ounce sip packed with plenty of flavor. I also enjoyed a sweet frozen cocktail topped with a fresh mint leaf that was perfect for a warm afternoon. Fun drinks, great value, and a unique experience. They have a food truck outside that serves food, from what we were informed. Thank you Tre for inviting me here. They did not have any food menus for the truck at the time of my visit. Happy hour start at 2pm, and the $1 Tiny Tini's start at 6pm.

I was pleasantly surprised by the cozy interior, and as soon as we walked in, some other patrons told us to get ready to get wasted! Definitely a good sign. I'm always down to try something new, so we both agreed, and wow! Everything was so good! I don't remember the names of all the drinks, but Aaron asked about our flavor preferences and hit it out of the park with what he gave us. 10/10 would go again the next time I'm in Houston.

We decided try this spot with the unassuming external appearance. A simple gray A-frame building with minimal parking. Arriving within an hour of opening allowed us to park next to the building in their private lot. The interior was very inviting with lounge, bar and table seating options. Our choice was the bar and really enjoyed the conversation with the bartender. He made suggestions from the established drink menu but was equally comfortable creating something unique for your taste. The drinks were outstanding but there are no bar food options. We really enjoyed our outing to the Rabbit Hole and look forward to future visits.

They have a small indoor area and a huge outdoor area with couches and benches. The patio is great when the weather is nice, though they have fans and heaters depending on the season. The bartenders are very friendly and make great drinks. I'm a fan of the variations on the classic G&T. On my last visit, I had an espresso martini and it was excellent! I was pleasantly surprised at how good they made it. I have yet to order a drink that I did not like. They have a small parking lot out front. There's also street parking. The drinks weren't bad and I think they have a nice selection of cocktails to choose from. The rundown for bingo: It was supposed to start at 7pm, but I don't think we started until almost 7:30. Not sure if that's normal or if it was just that night. They'll make an announcement for you to go grab a bingo board from designated spots and it was quite a fight to get a board, which is one per person. I think we played a total of 5-6 rounds with breaks in between and each round is a different goal (e.g. regular bingo, making an X, blackout, etc) with a different prize and the prizes gradually get bigger. Since the tables were all full, lots of people were either sitting around the stage, or on the turf, or standing on the back patio. Parking was super crowded. They have a lot which was definitely filled so I had to resort to street/neighborhood parking. They made announcements that if you park at the establishment next door you WILL get towed (they had tow trucks coming in the whole night I feel)

There are always a ton of people here, and it's the kind of place where you'll probably run into five friends you didn't even know were going to be there. The whole place is pretty open, so it can definitely get a little hot when the weather is hot, but that's just part of the setup. The staff has always been friendly, quick, and attentive, even when the place is packed. Drinks are good and the bar is very well maintained and professionally run. They do have a food truck, but I can't really recommend it based on my experience. When I walked up to order, another customer stopped me and told me not to because they had already been waiting almost two hours for their food. Luckily, Kirby Ice House allows you to bring in outside food, so you can order a pizza, have someone bring food over, or grab something nearby instead. Parking can get a little tight during the bigger games, but most of the time it's manageable. They also check IDs at the entrance, so be prepared for that when you walk in. Overall, it's just a really fun, social place to watch a game, grab some drinks, bring your dog, and hang out with a big group. It gets crowded, but that's also part of what makes it fun.

There's a variety of seating for whatever you prefer - picnic table, iron table, bar table, and cushioned patio lounge chairs. The servers checked in often and brought the drinks out. There's a free water station with cups. Restrooms are down one end. Ironically, on the game day, the women's restroom line moved quicker than the men's! Lol.
