We were in town and meeting family for breakfast so we decided to stop here. Reviews say it definitely gets busy Sundays and that was true. We put our name down on the waiting list in about 15 minutes later we were seated not too bad. Our waitress came over pretty quick. Brought some waters and coffee and left us some time to look over the menu. My husband and I opted for the ham steak and eggs, which came with hashbrowns toast, or whatever I chose hashbrowns over medium eggs and pancakes since my brother wasn't ready for more breakfast he opted for a tuna meal and side salad my other brother, some kind of skillet.. service got a little slower at this point and our food took a little bit longer, but there was a party next to us that was quite large so I'm assuming that's where the holdup was. On our food came out. It looked good. I really wanted those pancakes. I was a little bummed because when I went to Biden to them, they've been on the griddle a little too long, so the underside was more crispy than soft and light like a pancake should be, but I did like that. They were the sweet cream pancakes. Ham steak was good size cooked well hashbrowns were OK. My brother didn't care for his salad. It was talked with so many onions he couldn't even really eat it. I know everything was OK. I don't think I jumped back the chance to come again, but it was good size food portions, and we had good conversation. Parking was quite hard to find again. They did say it on their other reviews that it does get very busy so we did have to drive around for a little bit to find a space and walk over so be prepared for a wait.

A great diner style restaurant with a big selection menu. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of seating and by the looks of the line this restaurant is popular![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff was friendly and everyone moved quickly to serve. Food was delicious and homemade tasting.

I've been on a bit of a diner kick lately and decided to stop in to Sloans for an early breakfast. Typical diner vibes. It's cozy, dated yet welcoming. Located in the city of Indio, it's not hard to miss off of the busy highway 111 strip. We were seated right away and service was friendly and attentive. The staff seemed to share the responsibilities well as everyone was helping to keep glasses filled, tables cleared and our food came out reasonably quick despite the restaurant being busy. Prices are comparable to any chain diner type spot. The menu was large so there are plenty of options to pick from. They also had weekly specials and happy hour prices if you are looking for some deals. They have a full bar. I'd say the food was somewhere about a 3.5 out of 5. Run of the mill, okay breakfast options. The German pancakes were pretty good. Not the best in the desert but the spot we usually go is across town, so definitely was happy to find a good German pancake closer to home. Skip the eggs Benedict. While the concept of the Baja Benedict was good in theory, they couldn't execute the basics. The eggs were lukewarm and the English muffin was raw/almost no warmth to it. Wouldn't get again. Some missed here and that's just the way it goes. Keeping the service in mind and enjoying the overall comfortable atmosphere of the spot, bumping up to a 4/5 stars.

Came here for breakfast on Thanksgiving day. This was one of the few places open and had good reviews. Server helped us get a table immediately. Food came out fairly quickly. I got the breakfast burrito which comes with rice and beans. Kids got the Nutella & strawberry crepe and wife got the Santa Fe omelette. The portion sizes were generous. Everything tasted good and the service was friendly. Overall had a good experience.

I came here with a friend and enjoyed! The service is top notch and they keep the hot, fresh coffee flowing! I really enjoyed that perk since a lot of breakfast spots that serve coffee don't refill or offer coffee as consistently and frequently as Sloan's. They also scored high with their food. It was served hot and fresh and seemed to be made to order which was great! I ordered a skillet which had bacon, ham and sausage. The skillet was filling and delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience was decent and was like a typical casual style restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Hopefully I can get back to Sloan's soon! Love that coffee!!

Came this local little family breakfast spot along join some peaceful time in the desert. Just a heads up it does get busy on a Sunday morning as the usual for breakfast spots that are good. After about a 20 minute wait so we got our table we seated fast and our waitress was prompt to take our order and get us drinks to our table. Now onto the food. This is some good old American old-fashioned diner/restaurant quality food .. the omelettes were big and tasty, and there was a slight egg surcharge added to each one of these, which I guess is par for the course nowadays but I wish the restaurant would absorb some of these costs. The farmers omelette was a mix of all three meat, bacon, sausage, and ham. This thing was delicious and Phil and the hashbrowns were extra crispy which I love. My wife got the veggie omelette and she said that was pretty good also which came at Home style potatoes which were crispy crunchy and also delicious. The pancakes at this place were great too slightly yellow and color tasted like buttermilk, soft, fluffy and warm. Loved these things also. Great little breakfast spot reasonable pricing good service. What more can you ask for on a Sunday morning go give it a shot. It's worth it.

Was in town with friends and came here for breakfast and we all really enjoyed the food. It's definitely a locals diner/restaurant vibe and despite being packed at 11am, they seated us right away. The food service was a bit slow but they were attentive and the portions were large which we appreciated as the price was a little steep. I got the gravy and sausage eggs Benedict and loved it. It was more so a biscuit, sausage and gravy muffin with the egg on top but it was so good. The gravy and what seemed like homemade biscuits were delish. By far one of my fav breakfasts I've ever had. My friends tried the crepes, chilaquiles and scramble and all really liked it. I also got the smaller Bloody Mary which was pretty cheap and decent. It was a good experience and I'll def be back when I'm in town!

The Low Carb grill was wonderful. The bacon was delicious. OTOH the chicken fried steak wasn't wonderful. The steak was overcooked to the point of being tough. My eggs were cooked wrong and the toast lacked butter. The service was excellent. A woman fell on the floor walking in because of a loose mat. Luckily she was okay. The interior is homey

Honestly, we found this spot from an online search and are glad we did!…read more We made reservations online for dinner. We were sat promptly and our server was very friendly. He told us about the night special, which was the Buttermilk Fried Chicken. Started with Caesar Salad, which is a good portion and the Calamari. Both were delicious. Our entrees were the Buttermilk Fried Chicken and the Chicken Picatta. Both were perfect. I will say and this is not a negative at all, but the mashed potatoes and gravy instantly reminded me of KFC, when you get those in the styrofoam containers with lids... that is what they tasted like, and that is not a bad thing. The only complaint would be is that our appetizers came out fast, but as we started to enjoy them, just a few minutes later the entrees came out. There was almost no place to put them, as we were still enjoying our apps. The server should have not fired the entrees so soon, or maybe he just put the entire order in at once? We will be returning as the food is good and the place is very nice. We will make a point of letting them know next time, so this doesn't happen again, but otherwise the night dining was perfect.

This place was excellent. Best food ever!…read more The whole place was cool. You're first greeted by a complementary valet parking. The whole place has an old school, Spanish hacienda vibe. Definitely make reservations. It was busy when we got there. They first sat us inside, but the acoustics are terrible; it was so loud and echoey in there we could barely have a conversation, luckily the host was able to sit us on the back patio. It was beautiful there and they had a lively guitar soloist who was very versatile in all genres of music. Our waiter could've been a little more attentive. We got waters and drinks, but I thought he'd ask if we wanted any appetizers, but he ran off as soon as we got the drinks and we probably sat for 20 minutes. I had an Arnold Palmer to drink maybe to be cliche but it really hit and paired well with my meal. I thought they might have some complementary bread or something, but no. Our server finally came back to take our order. I thought they might have some specials, but he didn't mention any and I was impatient at that point. I don't always leave 5 stars, but the food made up for what the service lacked. It was really worth the wait once we got our food. We started with the potstickers. They were prepared excellently. They weren't soggy at all as they can sometimes be and the dipping sauce was simple yet phenomenal. The calamari was great. It was crispy and had crunchy breading. The best thing were the onion rings. They were THE best I've ever had. They were just the right amount of crispy, they weren't greasy and their flavor was amazing with the perfect amount of salt and seasoning. We even tried the BBQ shrimp. That was just ok, I don't know about the sauce or the piece of bread it comes with. Our entrees were excellent too. I had the halibut with pepper jack risotto. That was amazing. You don't find halibut at a lot of places and it was so flakey and not dry whatsoever. The risotto was excellent too. You hardly ever see pepper jack flavor either; It did not disappoint! The spaghetti was amazing too. My partner ordered that. Their homemade noodles and sausage are next level. A couple other entrees at our table included the filet mignon and the New York steak. They were both excellent. I'd say the New York steak was the better of those two options. It was cooked to perfection. Our server didn't bring our food out, but the guy who brought our food knew which person ordered which entree without asking which was cool. We didn't stop there. They we had dessert. I tried the peanut butter gelato. It was rich and decadent. My partner had their house butter cake a la mode, which was so tasty. It was moist and not overly sweet. The banana split was huge too! The valet gives you tickets to pick up your car. We were one of the last patrons of the night and Seth from the valet recognized us and already had my car ready before I had my ticket out. He saw me in the lobby area about to exit. I highly recommend going here. Make a reservation for outdoors (when the weather permits) and you'll probably get a great server. Ours was just a bit busy last night! You'll be in for a treat that can't be beat!

It was a cool evening and he worked to create a comfortable environment. The music provided a nice touch and the musician played pieces on request. The food was good. I had the Shrimp Ravioli which was tasty. Ample shrimp, in fact I would have traded one of the shrimp for another ravioli portion. My wife had the short ribs which were ,okay. the apple crumble was disappointing. All in all, it was a very pleasant evening. Although on the pricey side, It's a great place for special occasions.

We grabbed a round of burgers and split some fries, and everything came out fast and hot. Burgers: 10/10. This is what they're known for, and for good reason. Great brunch spot! We were visiting from out of town and were looking for somewhere to grab brunch…read more I checked Yelp and found Wilma & Frieda's and liked the reviews I read. The location was easy to find, ample parking too. The restaurant itself is kind of small (it's kind of more like a coffeehouse with a decent-sized table-service area), but we only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table on our second visit. (Yep, we liked it enough that we went twice during our trip!) The servers and staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful. The food was hot and delicious, and the portions were generous. And there were a good variety of savory and sweet brunch items to choose from. They also serve lunch and have a bakery counter, but I didn't look too hard at those parts of the menu because I knew I wanted the short-rib scramble as soon as I saw it on the online menu, haha! And the biscuits--oh my goodness, they are so good. They taste perfectly homemade and are pillow soft yet just the right amount of crumbly without being a dried, cracking mess. Across my 2 visits, I had the short-rib scramble (yum) and the Meany (basically eggs, sausage, potatoes, and a biscuit--yum), and my daughter had the biscuits and gravy, which she said was great. I highly recommend Wilma & Frieda's and will definitely go back on future Palm Springs trips.
