Corn pizza! This spot really shines in its daily different ways pizzas with fresh ingredients! There's no line to wait and the whole pie comes out within minutes. Service is kind and will give water cups. It's a causal spot and spacious restaurant with table and booth seating!

Sliver never disappoints! Fresh ingredients, cooked perfectly, extra cheesy, and full of flavor! We love the corn and asparagus toppings as well as their mushroom pizzas. You can't forget the green sauce either. Staff was super friendly and they had cute holiday decor. We will be back!

a berkeley classic! their green sauce is amazing as always (and I don't usually like cilantro). I ordered a slice of the daily special as a snack and of course it came with a sliver! I personally love it when their pizza comes with corn (their menu rotates daily) and FYI all their pizzas are vegetarian. Sliver reminds me of Cheeseboard but is more conveniently located near campus/southside. Usually my friends and I would order a whole box and share the whole thing. Service is very fast and you bus your own table.

You don't have to stand and hold up the line anymore because there's only one pizza option on the menu. The staff is friendly and they'll get you your order in about 5-10 minutes. Plenty of seating, such as tables, benches, or a couch. The pizza will come with green sauce, which you can feel free to smother all over your slivers. The green sauce provides some freshness and acidity to the savoriness and cheesiness of the pizza. A go-to spot for me in Berkeley.

TLDR: Yummy Veggie Pizzas by the Slice or Whole, Friendly Service, Spacious interior, casual vibe. Find it on Downtown Shattuck Ave just a couple doors down from the main entry to the Berkeley BART station. Carnivores need not wince.. this is good stuff, speaking as a fellow carnivore! Vegan friendly if that's your thing.. B a c k s t o r y : Being a college town, Berkeley is no stranger to Pizza, with nearly every variety represented here across the many pizza joints scattered through town. Yet, as an enclave for "healthy" eating, Berkeley seems to have its own take on vegetarian pizzas, which started out at The Cheese Board further up Shattuck Avenue in the "Gourmet Ghetto", but has since expanded to "Sliver Pizzeria" - an entirely new local chain of pizza places started by alumni from the Cheese Board. The P I Z Z A : At Sliver, there is a different Pizza-of-the-Day every day, Veggie, of course. Though the toppings may seem sometimes a bit unconventional often with Yukon Potatoes, Corn, a hint of lime usually over Mozzerella, the result is tasty and amazing on the tongue. The crust is thin, like a NY style and what's cool and why they call this place "Sliver" is that you get a bonus sliver of pizza to go with your normal-sized slice. At the condiments bar, they also have a zesty green sauce and limes to go on the side with your pizza. Sliver also has locations on Telegraph, two more locations in Oakland and over in Lafayette too. My go-to is this Sliver here in Berkeley. Count me in as a "regular" =)

We visited on a Wednesday evening, and was glad to find a place that was open late. (We were coming from the airport) Found this place and decided to give it a shot, since it had great reviews. We entered and loved the simplicity of their menu. Choose how many slices you want with their pizza of the day. We decided to get a two slice with their green sauce. Whomever created their green sauce, *chefs kiss*. Their pizza was delicious too. We will definitely be back.

    Slice of potato pizza

Not crowded on a Saturday noon. A good amount of indoor seating, felt spacious. There's even a couch area. My friend and I each ordered a slice of the pizza of the day, which was the potato pizza. It was ready in less than 10 minutes. It came piping hot and I liked the crunch of the crust. The green sauce was pretty good too! Added lots of flavor to the pizza and I dipped it for every bite.

    Sally C.

Service is great. Food is great. Check the menu online before you stop by. It's only one type of pizza per day. Their green sauce is very good. Overall, good price and taste so yummy.

    Ria B.

Finally tried sliver and it was great! They only have one pizza flavor per day and the day I went was Yukon potatoes and corn and it was delightful. The corn was sweet but there wasn't a crazy amount which can over power the pizza and the potatoes were crispy even though it was on top of a pizza and under cheese. Also they had this cilantro pesto sauce which is so delectable to have with the pizza. My favorite part is the tiny sliver of pizza they put on top of every order it's so cute. Service is super fast as the pizza is already made, they just warm it up and pack it in a box before handing it to you. It's a typical fast casual place, you bus your self and order at the front.

    Cash register

Quick service and great pizza. Similar to cheese board in the sense of one type of menu offering per day. Got the corn pizza and it was great. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area, the wait on a Saturday wasn't long there was no line and only took about 5-10 minutes for a whole pizza. Expensive though for a pizza ($30).

    Wilson C.

Slivers is pretty good! Their green sauce and red sauce really adds another dimension of flavor for the pizzas.

Do you get a sliver when you order a whole pizza?

Yes! You usually get 2 or 3 :)

As expected, finding parking is a beotch in Berkeley. Metered parking a block and a half away was found. A dollar for each 16 minutes if I remember correctly. I'm a boomer that doesn't like restaurants that have loud noise, disorganization, unruly todlers or uncleanliness. I expect to be treated as if I was invited over to have lunch with a mature friend. The cashier where you order and pay at the same time is counterintuitively at the back of the place. Customers walk in the front door and need to ask a cook at the front who tells you to head down towards the back door to place an order. Management: An "ORDER" sign with an arrow easily visible at entrance pointing to the cashier might fix this. That sign you currently have 11' high towards the back is easily missed. The staff at Tender Greens seemed professional. Maybe aside for the employees that wear their uniform hats backwards. The restaurant was kept clean and the tables bussed. Pleasant tunes like from The Foo Fighters and Hall and Oats had me bopping my head. If this was a tap room I could have spent hours here. I got my Cobb (and took my Yelp pictures) and my wife had a grilled salmon plate. I'll focus on the Cobb salad. I've been enjoying these salads for years. They come with a portion of blue cheese, a portion of dressing, a portion of chicken yada yada all arranged next to but not in each other. You get the salad plate and enjoy the look of the individual items, and then you mix or not at will. It's fun. Want to skip the avocado? Do it. Share a clean tomato? Share away. Skimp on the dressing or don't use it at all? You're in charge. Go for it! At Tender Greens, their salad comes tossed for you without your asking.. Sauce is on everything. If you are hoping to eat a bit of blue cheese or anything by itself, that is not happening. Most salad items are disguised in sauce\dressing to the point that you have to put food bits in your mouth and suck off the dressing before you chew to figure out what you have. Also you have no idea with this tossing how much of each salad componate you paid for. I haven't seen a tossing on a Cobb like this (until today) for fifty years and I hope never to see it for fifty more. Side note on this salad. Those bacon bites ( too large to call bits) are delicious. Just like my Father's home made bacon, though you could chip a tooth on these.. So the $16.95 salad tasts fine and I'm 3\4 through and getting full and Damned if i don't find a four inch brown hair on my plate. I'm bald and my wife's hair is overly highlighted blond so its not ours. This has never happened to me before to my knowledge. Unless I've unwittingly eaten someone else's hair. The filthy thing must have been hidden under the salad as it didn't show in the pics taken upon salad arrival. I was so disappointed and sick down in the pit of my stomach that I didn't have the presence of mind to take a picture. You know or can imagine the feeling of filth touching your food right? Management. This food debacle can be easily fixed. Most of your male employees have facial hair and nobody wears hair nets. 1) Hair nets for all. 2) Facial masks for whiskers. Use it (mask) or lose it (shave). I received a second salad with an apology for the first. The second salad had visibly more blue cheese and avocado. That was nice. Management. Portion control? I might come back for the second salad but not the first. So it's unlikely we will be back.

I love all of the add-ins (fried garlic goes great with fish and is so good without being too overpowering, far less overpowering than fried onions), the sauces are great, I like being able to have brown rice without being charged extra (ahem, Wow Lemonade ;) ), the seaweed salad is delicious and the food was so good that right after I took the first bite I made an audible sound and rolled my eyes it was so good. I had to be chill about it, but dang, Poke Bar rocks! I also like that it is a tiny bit more affordable, and you get more food for the price. So much food that I wasn't able to finish my medium-sized bowl. Only detractor is that I wish their krab was krab salad and not just krab. Though the exterior of…read morethe restaraunt is unassuming, and the building itself is quite small with limited seating, the interior is still very clean and neat, and the workers are very nice. I placed an online order for the C Chicken Momos and the Garlic Cheese Naan, which were both phenomenal. The naan was some of the best I've ever had. It was so fluffy, thick, and pillowy soft, and was not overly charred/thin or too crispy like other naan. Just pure doughy goodness. There was also a perfect amount of cheese filling--enough that you got the subtle kick of milky acidity, but not too overpowering. The naan itself was also not too greasy, and the garlic flavor was very aromatic. You could also taste a hint of the slight tartness from (I'm assuming) the yogurt used to make the naan. The "C" Chicken Momos came with eight large pieces, which is definitely enough to fill you up. The sauce tasted like a classic sweet-and-sour sauce with a very mild and pleasant spice. Also, because the dumplings were fried, they were crispy despite being covered in sauce, but still had a bit of the nice chew you would get from a steamed momo skin. The fillings themselves were also super flavorful: you get a herbal and fresh taste from the ginger, which balanced the tanginess of the sauce so the meal did not feel too heavy, and the subtle nuttiness and pepperiness of cumin in each bite. The dumplings also had some warm broth in them, which is perfect for a cold day. The prices are fair too. You can often find small discounts on Snackpass or delivery apps like GrubHub. Needless to say, I will definitely be coming back. Totally recommend!
