Medium sized bowl with 3 protein options of tuna, spicy tuna, and salmon, plus cucumber, krab, fried garlic (so good!!), seaweed salad, etc.

Love this place! I am new to poke and have only had it at the Wow! The Hawaiian Lemonade place located around the corner from Poke Bar. Both are great, but I like Poke Bar more as I feel you get more protein and food for the price, super fresh fish (cut smaller than Wow, but feels like I am getting more, plus I have the option of asking for tofu as an option!). I love all of the add-ins (fried garlic goes great with fish and is so good without being too overpowering, far less overpowering than fried onions), the sauces are great, I like being able to have brown rice without being charged extra (ahem, Wow Lemonade ;) ), the seaweed salad is delicious and the food was so good that right after I took the first bite I made an audible sound and rolled my eyes it was so good. I had to be chill about it, but dang, Poke Bar rocks! I also like that it is a tiny bit more affordable, and you get more food for the price. So much food that I wasn't able to finish my medium-sized bowl. Only detractor is that I wish their krab was krab salad and not just krab. And I wish that as far as two sides go, that I could get two sides of krab and just mix in one of their sauces and some wasabi and make my own krab salad. Only negative about the place is that they don't offer bags with handles, just regular brown smaller grocery bags. So, if they stepped it up a notch and had branded bags I think that would help to promote their business more since they are located in a somewhat out-of-the-way spot. Definitely come and check this place out. Super fast service, okay seating, great, great, GREAT fresh fish, and such an umami flavor. Tip: get a mix of white and brown rice to make it a tad bit healthier and get some more fiber (if you don't want to go fully salad style and get greens. Or be wild and get all three options as the base!).

The receipt shows being charged for a bag I never received. Carried all my food

they never give bags, yet the kiosk machine charges you automatically for bags! that is robbery!

I came here for lunch with a friend and I have to say this is one of the best poke spots I've tried! Located in an alleyway, the hidden spot has surprisingly fresh fish in big chunks with average prices. I ordered on the kiosk and my order was made quick (I wish the employees called out when it was ready). The menu had some preset bowl options, but I always like a build-your-own; I was hoping for more sauce options, but the spicy mayo was good. I definitely would come back to try other combinations.

Quick and fast, order on machine. Would have preferred face to face interaction. It automatically selects 20% for tips, which seems odd for the lack of interaction with staff. Yummy and good portion size. Repeat customer.

YES. SO GOOD. Conveniently located for students, and quick order pickup through Snackpass. You can also order by kiosk inside. Lots of dine-in seating if that's what you're looking for. I got the medium bowl with brown rice and greens, salmon + spicy tuna + tofu, corn, kale, cucumber, sweet onion, green onion, imitation crab, seaweed salad, crispy onion, and wasabi+shoyu+house sauce for $16.65. And they give you enough options that you get abundant toppings without needing to pay extra. This meal was SO FILLING - lasted me two meals. Bang for your buck??? Not just for your wallet, but this bowl was also so satisfying for the soul - the ingredients were all good quality, sauces were super rich.

My go to place for yummy and reasonably priced poke! I always get the small bowl and the portion is perfect for two meals. The price is reasonable since you are allowed to add a lot of different toppings. Service is also very fast.

Loved this spot! We were hankering for poke bowl and stopped here for a bite. The restaurant is clean and bright. Most of the orders were pre-ordered and picked up. We ordered in and ate inside. So many options here! You can order one of their preset bowls or make your own. We opted to make our own and there are so many toppings! While eating there, my daughter's bowl was a bit dry, so she brought it back to the counter, and asked them for more sauce. Our lunch was good! We'll definitely come back when we're back in the area.

I'd say a medium will get the job done. 3 proteins for a medium and fresh ingredients are why I'd choose this poke place over others. I'd say the only downside is paying extra for using the kiosk instead of paying at the counter.

Poké Bar is a killer deal with Snackpass. The portions are huge for the price point and it's really good. ORDERING: I ordered on Snackpass and my bowl came out to be about $13 dollars for a large which was crazy. The ordering process was straightforward and there are many options to choose from. TASTE: Dope! The salad was crisp, the tuna and salmon were fresh, and the crab salad was great! The cucumbers were also killer too and added an extra layer of crunch to the poke alongside the sesame seeds and the other toppings on top. The corn was also nice and added a layer of flavor as well. PICKUP: The wait was really short and straightforward! Picking up was really easy and simple and the staff was really nice about it. Overall, I'll definitely be coming back to get my fix in Berkeley! Hint: Use Snackpass for a great discount and get poke with your friends!

Located in the telegraph alley right across the street from campus, poke bar is accessible and affordable. They have the best deals on snackpass as you only need 10 points for a free bowl, which means if you go with a friend, you can redeem it every 5 visits; in my humble opinion, that's a steal! Poke bar also has good sauce combinations and fresh toppings that always hit the spot. I have noticed the quality decrease slightly over the past year and there's always a funky smell in the store itself but overall a Berkeley student staple if you love poke.

I'm a repeat customer and liked my food, but today I spotted a bug crawling out of the mixed greens in my bowl. Gross! Ruined my appetite and desire to ever visit here again.

The rice was soggy and too hot, making the fish warm. Unfortunately not the greatest poke experience I've had.

We ordered two small poke bowls. They were decent but pretty expensive ($18+) for a small bowl. At least it seemed pretty healthy.

We entered a few minutes before peak dinner times, so there were seats to choose and sit from. By the time we left, mostly all the seats were filled up, so I would suggest coming in early. I liked the naming for each of the ramen dishes, some I recognized the names from Hawai'i. For this round, we ordered 3 different types of ramen: the Kuni, Broke da Mouth, and the Miso Hungry. These orders also came around the same time. A notable elements I liked about the ramen was that the noodles were chewy and springy, and the broth was smooth and easy to drink. I also didn't have the urge to drink lots of water either, so the seasoning was perfect. The other element was that I got to enjoy the ramen's broth and noodles as the stars of the dish, and the proteins, like the pork were supporting roles. For me, what I enjoy ramen are the broth and noodles, so I'm happy that these are prominent in the dish, rather than me having other chow down a thick slab of pork. This restaurant hit the right marks for what a delicious ramen is for me, so I'll come back, and maybe try their other broths.

Actually mustard might be a helpful condiment to offer to address the blandness of the food here. I'm not saying it's bad here because it clearly satisfies the student populace who obviously need sustenance to make it through their midterms and finals. For me as someone many years from my undergrad days, however, my point of reference relates to the plate lunches I could find on Oahu. Using that point of comparison, I suggested to Jamie W that we give it a try during one of our weekend Berkeley walks. Jamie ordered the $14.99 BBQ Chicken & Beef Combo Meal. It was a hefty portion suitable for a growing post-adolescent. The meal came with the requisite two scoops of rice, one scoop of macaroni salad, and steamed cabbage underneath the meat (Photo 5). He pronounced it middling when it came to flavor satisfaction. I went for the $13.99 Hawaiian BBQ Beef Bowl. It came with the same sides, and the satisfaction level was comparable (Photo 6). Standouts were garlic edamame, 6pc omakase, beef tongue, pork belly, negitoro maki, corn tempura, & sweet potato creme brulee. Edamame was lightly charred and salted well, with generous amount of garlic flavor. Omakase was fresh and tasty, although a tiny bit small so definitely perhaps get your own instead of sharing one order between two. Beef tongue was hands down the best thing. I thought it was a boneless short rib with how tender it was (can break apart with chopsticks). The pork belly was also soft and went well with the spicy miso. Negitoro was fresh and the wasabi was grated very well. Corn tempura was perfectly fried and very crispy while still being soft inside. Lastly, the creme brulee was a great dessert. You do get a hint of the sweet potato. Would love to return to try other dishes!

This was our view from the bar and it served as the backdrop to our entire dining experience. We had been wanting to visit this restaurant for quite some time, and after finally making it in, we left wondering why we had waited so long. Everything on the menu sounded really appetizing, which made it difficult to narrow it down and choose. Thankfully, to help first timers like us, the Tasting Menu offered a curated selection of items from each section on the menu. First things first... the cocktails. I ordered a Fhloston Paradise, a perfect blend of kõ hana agricole rum, coconut liqueur, falernum, lime and absinthe; just enough sweetness for my palate. It was appreciated with every sip, but went down more smoothly than expected and I was already eyeing my next drink. Having a husband that loves watching me enjoy life was the first to suggest another drink. Sitting at the bar (our favorite place to sit btw), was the second encourager as the drinks were made right in front of me. One caught my eye... BUT... it was a mocktail. Not a worry in my mind as I asked our wonderful bartender if he could make it an "un-mocktail". So... the "Bittersweet Life" turned into a rum filled "Sweet Life"! He painstakingly made every effort to make sure my drink came out perfect, exactly how I like it... sweet. Bravo to your attention to detail! One word to describe our dining experience here is "fragrant". From the aromatic bouquet of the cocktails to the enticing scents rising from each beautifully plated dish, every course engaged the senses before the first sip or bite was even taken. Our Tasting Menu included these items: *Tuna poke *Caviar Taro Puff *Duck Liver Mousse *Pig Head Croquette *Halibut Sashimi *Gulf shrimp *Local black cod *Daikon cake (not on the printed menu) *American Wagyu Zabuton *Sesame cracker (not on the menu) *Baked Hawaii (not on the menu) We enjoyed our evening so much that we're already looking forward to returning. With so many enticing dishes still left to explore, this certainly won't be our last visit.
