$21.49 Mixed Platter (chicken + meat): HUGE! Enough to almost serve as two meals. salad portion was fresh. The meats were fine... ish. Went with the tahini dressing and French fry base but after eating half, the dish was no longer appealing.

There are so many hole-in-the-wall hidden gems on Telegraph Ave, My-O-My being one of them. Yes, I know this street driving-wise can be incredibly hectic BUT there is a parking garage in walking distance (The Telegraph Channing Garage), and the first hour is free :) While in the area we noticed a couple new spots had entered the scene, and also a few that are still in construction including a coffee and hand-pulled noodle spot. My-O-My being one of those 'new' to the scene spots...I mean the name alone, we had to go in to check it out. They don't have high chairs, but that didn't stop us after we learned the Tuesday special of the day was Chicken Poutine. Immediately we also learned that this is a Canadian-inspired Mediterranean spot. How cool! So, of course we had to do the freshly shaved chicken poutine. So comforting on a cold day. Gravy, cheese, fries, protein. How can one go wrong? And the portions, massive! The hubby ordered a wrap and I ordered a bowl. Essentially you can pick how you would like your protein ~ over salad, rice, in a wrap, or with fries. We took the bowl to-go because we had plenty of food in front of us already (yay for leftovers later!). All in all, the halal meats were delicious. Flavorful, juicy, and topped with their house sauces...SO good. The staff also came by to give our kiddo a small scoop of his own fries to dip in ketchup, while us adults enjoyed the poutine. A steady-flow of patrons came in while we were there which was nice to see. Quick service, casual digs, the sweetest staff, and a hearty meal of honestly just really good food that didn't break the bank. My-O-My is right. Can't wait to come back when in the area again.

(4/5) I'm honestly just glad there's finally a place around here dedicated to poutine. For anyone who hasn't had it before, poutine is one of Canada's greatest comfort food inventions: crispy fries, rich gravy, and cheese curds. The curds are the secret weapon--those little nuggets of fresh cheese that soften in the heat but still keep a slight bounce. That texture is what makes real poutine different from just fries with melted cheese. I ordered the chicken poutine with gravy and garlic sauce, medium spice, and sized up from the regular portion. When it arrived through DoorDash, I was shocked--it came in two large boxes. This was easily enough food for four people. I actually bought it just for myself but ended up sharing it with coworkers because there was no way I was finishing all that alone. Flavor-wise, it was really good. The spice level was perfect and the sauces were surprisingly unique. The garlic sauce with the gravy gave it a really interesting twist. It's definitely more of a fusion style poutine, leaning a little Mediterranean with the flavors, which actually worked really well. Just a heads up if you're expecting a super traditional Canadian version (though they do offer classic poutine on the menu too). Overall, big portions, flavorful sauces, and a fun take on a Canadian classic. If you've never had poutine before, this is a great place to try it. And if you already love poutine, it's nice to finally have a spot serving it locally. 4 out of 5 stars. I'd definitely order it again.

I had this bookmarked for the longest time when they only had one store in Albany. I finally got to check out their new location while I was in Berkeley! Platters are huge, super filling, and sooo flavorful!!! My bf got his with fries and he loves it! He said it might be better than halal guys?! Ugh, we love halal guys. It's definitely less greasy and not as heavy as halal guys too. The fries were also very seasoned. I got mine with rice and the rice was so fluffy and not dry at all. They really pack it with lots of meat and you can choose the spice level. Each platter comes with salad on the side and the salad is also very generously portioned. They have bowls, wraps, platters, poutine, and salads. Their bowls I assume are much smaller than the platters because they cost a little less. Our platters were $18 before tax and the bowls are between $10-$14, depending on the size you get. Overall, this is a new spot we will definitely be coming back to!

Came here looking for a snack and ended up getting the chicken poutine (size small, beef gravy, garlic sauce on the side). The chicken was verrrry dry. Also, I wish there was more gravy and crispier fries. The garlic sauce was delicious though. I should've just had the sauce mixed in since everything was so dry. It's nice that they have multiple spice levels. I feel like poutine should be almost drenched in gravy, so it wasn't quite what I was hoping for.

Came here on a weekend evening, and it wasn't busy at all. The vibes inside are really nice - a spacious, open place with great lighting and ample seating, perfect for a casual lunch or dinner with friends! The staff were super friendly and helpful with answering our questions about ordering. Ordering was fast, took less than 5 minutes, and getting our food was even quicker, about 5-10 minutes - extremely fast! The pricing is great too for the portions! I got a bowl with chicken, half Greek salad, and rice, all with their house garlic sauce. First off, that house garlic sauce is SO GOOD! It brought everything together with a nice, savory kick and a slight tang. The bowl itself was a big portion, definitely enough to save some for lunch the next day, which is always a plus. The Greek salad paired really well with the rest of the bowl, adding a fresh element. Overall, it was a nice, savory, and very filling meal. My only minor note is that the chicken was a bit dry, however... definitely would come again to try their other dishes and salad sides!!

My-O-My is one of my favorite shawarma spots in Berkeley! They have another location in Northside on Euclid Ave, and both locations serve delicious shawarma bowls and wraps. Their chicken shawarma wraps are my favorite. The chicken is well seasoned and their wrap includes a lot of other toppings such as onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, and more. They also top it off with a generous amount of garlic sauce and hot sauce at a spice level of your choice. Their bowls are great too. I've gotten their chicken on rocks (rice) as well as their fries and salad, but you can mix and match (half and half) your base of choice. You can choose which sauce you want to add as well - I recommend the garlic or tzatziki. Overall, great spot for a fast or late night meal! Great flavors and great on the go.

Good food with a good portion! They have this garlic-y sauce that goes deliciously with the meal. Highly recommend! I love how you can mix and match meals. I got a greek salad and fries and felt good after.

My O My Shawarma is one of those spots that never lets you down. It's family owned, and the OG Northside location has always had my heart. They recently opened a second spot on Telegraph, and it's a big upgrade. The new space is huge, has plenty of seating, and is super close to campus. The food is always on point. Some of the best chicken over rice and beef shawarma you'll find in Berkeley, with portions that actually fill you up. The prices are more than fair for how much you get, which makes it an easy go to every time

Might be my favorite place to grab lunch near campus. Got the chicken shawarma wrap with the works (all toppings) with garlic sauce and hot sauce at less than medium spiciness level. Still quite a kick! Food came fast and was delivered to my table. Friend got the same with no spice but said there were too many jalapeños, though liked the variety of toppings. Other friend got the chicken poutine (small size) which I took a bite out of and it was so yummy too. Gooey block of cheese and perfectly spiced chicken just melted in my mouth. He said it was very filling. Third friend got the chicken on the rocks regular size which was still a big portion for him (and he's a guy) so he saved half for dinner. Get there before the lunch rush at 12:30. Ambiance is nice. Close enough to campus to get the eduroam WiFi. Will definitely be back.

I don't know if this is Mexican shawarma or Arabic shawarma, but it has nothing to do with shawarma. Very oily No flavor at all, It's not worth the price And give me stomach ache.

We ended up getting three things: * The cheese twist was soooo good! The cheese was flavorful and the pastry itself was perfectly done. * The apple pastry was interesting. Unlike many places where the pastry is either bland or overly sweet, Acme's pastry had a slight saltiness to it, which I actually think is genius. I almost always prefer a hint of savory flavor to balance out the sweetness from the filling or topping. My only issue with this one was that the apple topping was not sweet at all and leaned more tart, so paired with the salty pastry, it was not quite the flavor combination I was hoping for. * The mini raspberry pastry had the same issue for me. The raspberry topping was just a bit too tart and sour for my taste. Even though not everything was a hit for me, I would definitely come back and give this bakery another chance, especially since we arrived so late and missed out on many of their most popular items.
