I walked past Wrap N Roll several times on Telegraph before I finally decided it was a good time to try it out. I ordered in person and it took less than 5 minutes for the food to be prepared. I got the paneer tikka masala wrap and asked for it to be made mild since I can't handle spicy unfortunately. The tamarind chutney that came with it is nice if you prefer a sweeter flavor. I came in here blind because the idea of Pakistani food sounded great while passing by their window and I was not let down! They have great food and for a very reasonable price which I really appreciate. I ordered a CHICKEN MALAI PLATTER with medium spice, highly recommend. They have great quality chicken that is cooked soft, their rice is the perfect texture, their salad was fresh, and their spices are a perfect blend. I also highly recommend their CHICKEN PARATHA WRAP! The sauces on this were SOOOO GOOD! Plus, the sauces they have on the side: tamarind sauce, mint sauce, and spicy ketchup are all good. I drowned my chicken platter in a mix of tamarind and mint. Also highly recommend their French fries that are tossed in some spices. Their MANGO LASSI and CHAI are also perfect. That's how you can tell this family knows what they are doing. I would go out of my way to come back here if I had to. My friend and I came here during a time in which it didn't seem busy, around 1 pm. The service was quick. I ordered the chicken tikka fries and my friend ordered the chicken tikka wrap. The food came out fairly quickly, but still after these two people who ordered after us. I thought that was... interesting. We had ordered our food for to-go because we were going to take our leftovers home after. When I came back to get a second fork, the man who took our order reiterated that he thought it was to-go. Interesting. I mean, I get why he would say something if it were busy, but it was only us two and the other two people (who left a mess compared to us). The shop in itself is standard, pretty clean. Well, the portion was pretty okay. For 13 bucks, I got enough fries, but definitely could've done for more of the chicken tikka on them (the photo doesn't show how there's a small mountain of fries that remain untouched by any of the cheese or tikka). The ratio of chicken tikka/cheese to fries was definitely off. They were, as a whole, also a little too dry. The sauces they include on the side are a tamarind and yogurt/cilantro/something green type of sauce that didn't really compliment anything. My friend enjoyed her wrap, but she agreed that the fries could've done with more sauce. The seasonings were all good. Honestly, the food wasn't bad, but it wasn't reaching it's full potential. The service kind of confused me as well. It's a pretty okay spot. Nothing special. If I were to come back I would probably get a wrap and leave INSTANTLY. read more

This place just opened on Telegraph, and my friends and I were dying to try it. When you walk in, the menu is on the board, broken down into their breakfast, wraps, rolls, platters, and specialties. They have a small space for indoor seating, and you can see them cooking in the back. The customer service is amazing here! They immediately started explaining their menu and took the time to do the same for everyone else who walked in behind us. They explained that the wraps are tortillas like a burrito, the rolls are a more buttery, flaky wrap, and the platters come with a side of rice and salad. I ordered the Chicken Tikka Wrap and my friend ordered the Paneer Wrap, both freshly made to order! The chicken was perfectly spiced, and the wrap came with cucumbers, lettuce, and a yogurt + tamarind sauce. While the the wrap is bigger than the roll, I definitely want to come back to try that next time. The owners constantly came to check up on us to make sure the food was up to our standards. Oh my god what did I just experience. The worst take on Indian wraps I've ever had. If you enjoy flavorless food and hot lettuce then maybe this is for you. Tried the Paneer Tikka masala wrap and the garlic masala fries. The wrap is small and just stuffed with Paneer and your basic salad lettuce mix, no flavor at all - what is this sauce?! This is not Tikka masala sauce. The fries had barely any effort put into them. NO FRESH GARLIC. This ain't your Gilroy garlic fries, folks. Just a few bit of spices on some cheap frozen fries. Nothing was worth the price. Was excited about something new in Berkeley and this is a horrible excuse for Indian food. Tastes like taco bell, no joke. TIKKA PANEER SHOULD NOT BE FLAVORLESS. My experience here today was really great! The customer service was exceptional. The food was delicious and a perfect price point for the quantity. I was already planning on coming here today and I'm very glad I didn't let a previous negative reviewer change my mind. We got chicken tikka kabob and steak kabob paratha rolls, the meat quality was outstanding. There was no "hot lettuce" anywhere in sight. The rolls were meat forward, which is my preference, and came with diced cucumbers, onions, raita, and I believe a very small amount of a tamarind sauce (when they gave us squeeze bottles of additional sauces the lady called it Pakistani BBQ sauce which I thought was not only cute but helpful because it was much thinner and less overpowering than some tamarind chutneys, I really liked it). We also got samosas and they were really good but I will try something else next time because the cinnamon was a bit strong for my taste, but that's not a dig, I'm excited to try new things on their menu! The rest of the yelp reviews are not lying when they say the food here is DELICIOUS. We stopped by and got the Marsala fries, chicken tikka kabob wrap, mango lassi, and vegetarian samosas. We asked for the wraps to be on the spicier side and the spice level was perfect for us! They also had spicy ketchup which paired wonderfully with the fries. The owner was present and brought out a few other sauces for us to try which were also very flavorful. The wrap is perfect whether you are eating in or taking it on the go. It has great flavor, isn't too overwhelming, generous amount of chicken, and great size for the reasonable price. I will be returning to try some of their platters next! The mango lassi was so creamy and one of the better ones we've had. They also had a rose lassi which was pretty yummy too! Everything was great but the wrap stole the show for me. The establishment is on the smaller side and gets great lighting. It was very clean with great service!
