Overall, would not recommend this place. I encountered very racist and bigoted treatment here. I placed an online order last night and went by for the pick up. When I approached the front counter, the lady present was very standoffish with me. I informed her of why I was there and she asked my name for the order. Upon giving her my name she then glared at me and literally asked me to recite my entire order lol! I showed her my online receipt in which she then insisted I still tell her my order. She brushed away my receipt and let another customer cut in front of me. Interestingly, the customer told her his name and she retrieved his order with no issue and was very friendly with him. To note, I was the only Black person present at that time. When I inquired as to why that customer wasn't asked to recite his entire order, she grinned and said that he's a "regular" and that I was "new." She went on to let a few other customers cut in front of me. I then asked for my money back in which she refused to return. Even when I asked for the manager, she said he was very busy. I made several requests for this resulting in her saying no and refusing to return my money. I then noted to her I'm calling the authorities in which I did. Furthermore, while servicing some of the other patrons, she would speak in another language with them while they looked at me and start laughing and staring me down. Eventually, the manager came out. He presented himself professionally and upon explaining what occurred he apologized and said it was unacceptable. He even offered me a drink with my meal and asked that I please accept the order instead and wanted to make things right. I took him at face value and said fine. While the situation was remedied, I definitely will not be returning to this restaurant. I researched some of the other reviews and came across several where other Black patrons have had similar racially motivated experiences here. That tells me there's a common practice of racism here. I refuse to support a business where this kind of behavior is tolerated. I have zero tolerance for bigots of any kind. Overall, the experience was a waste of my time and very dehumanizing. To hate someone you don't even know simply because of their skin pigmentation and ethnicity is irrational at best and bad for business especially in a place like Oakland where it's multicultural. My advice would be to not support this establishment. I especially advise any Black patrons not to come here as they clearly have issue with anyone who is simply Black, despite not knowing them as a person. Don't give your money, nor your valuable time, to hateful individuals who dehumanize others. All in all, this place gets a thumbs down. read more

This place holds a special place in my heart for reasons I won't entirely get into here, but basically I came here during one of the hardest times of my life and this food was always delicious and the restaurant was always calm and clean. I like that it was relatively not busy although there were always a lot of orders being picked up. I highly recommend checking them out today. read more

We also got Chicken tikka masala 3.5/5 flavor wise it's good but not amazing the main issue is that it really only comes with like 3 small pieces of chicken so if you get this, you're better off getting another chicken dish for more protein Lamb curry 5/5 surprisingly AMAZING? It was tender and not gamey and so flavorful. It was less a curry and more like a lamb CTM. My husband and I ate it with naan. Plain Naan 5/5 fluffy and warm and delicious Garlic naan 4.5/5 yummy but we actually preferred the plain naan Chicken bqq (forgetting the official name) 3/5 this was good but TERRIBLY spicy for me and even my husband said it has quite the punch. It was also on the drier side TLDR: I would say don't come here already *super* hungry but if you can be patient the food is worth the price & wait overall. Tried Biryani Tika Kabab with some family friends recently. We sampled a variety of dishes including the eggplant, lamb vindaloo, biryani, and roti amongst others. The food was excellent, honestly some of the best I've had recently. Great flavors, well spiced, and good textures. The restaurant is basically run by the owner who wanders around and brings the food. The vibe of this place is a low key family run joint. I love Indian food and have tried just about every Indian restaurant in Oakland and San Francisco. Ive been impressed with many of the options but none have made me feel the way Biryani Tika Kabab has. The curry and sauces they make are filled with complex notes that make my mouth water. Heck, I just finished my dinner and Im already fantasizing about left overs. You get two pieces of naan per order, also, which is a good amount. We've tried traditional, onion and sesame and all have been incredible, chewy and crisp. We have tried many dishes but our favorites are the Vege Korma, and Bhindi Gosht. The chicken tika masala is standout as well. You cannot go wrong with your order. The restaurant is spacious and service is very kind and very quick - wonderful staff. Great spot for Indian food in Oakland. It's very much a family run restaurant and that adds to the ambiance. The portions are really big and lots of options. I got the chicken tikka masala, the aloo naan and a mango lassi to wash it down. Also we got a chicken Briyani for the table. The mango lassi was delicious, i could taste the real mango in it. The chicken tikka came out pipping hot and it stayed super hot the entire time I was eating. The aloo naan which is naan stuffed with potato was really delicious and not something I've seen offered before so I needed to try it as I love aloo tikki which I'm surprised they did have. The only thing is you get 4 giant pieces and after one you're pretty stuffed because of how heavy it is with the potato. I have done all three at this restaurant and they have passed every single step! How do I arrive at a Pakistani restaurant and feel like I just left a Guinean restaurant/home. Wild. I came to Biryani Tika Kabab recently and I gotta say the food was super solid. What I got: lamb curry, keema naan, aloo naan, fish tandoori, and chicken biryani. In particular I really loved the keema naan which came with a good amount of of meat on it. And I also really really enjoyed the chicken biryani. The lamb curry was solid and the fish tandoori was so tender and juicy. Keep in mind though I think the fish they use is catfish and it does have a muddy taste to it as catfish usually does. Also the green sauce was pretty herbaceous and spicy and complimented the food really well! The servers were nice and I love that the restaurant kept the previous place's decoration which gives Biryani Tika kabab a cute charm. read more

I did take consideration that it was hot all day yet it's a restaurant and they should be checking their food. Everything we tried was very flavorful and tasty. We had the chicken tikka masala, chicken biryani, half tandoori chicken, vegetable samosas, cheese naan, and garlic naan. Very good food. The owner was very nice and his daughter was adorable. The food took a little while to come out and the daughter stared directly at us from the next table the entire time, but when the food came he finally told her to stop staring and go to the front desk. The restaurant was empty when we got there but two tables came in toward the end of our meal. It seems they do a lot of delivery orders.
