Restaurant was nice and clean with beautiful decoration. Not many parties in restaurant when we went so we chose where to sit. Food itself tasted amazing and was extremely well flavored. Granting them the 4 stars. You can choose the spice level as well. Every dish we got we enjoyed. Lassis were sweet, yogurty, and had nice spice to it. The fish thali has wonderful flavor that paired well with the sides (except cold potatoes were ok). Samosas chana were also well flavored, paired well with the sauces and chickpeas, and crispy after being deep fried. Tikka masala and butter chicken were served in roughly 8 inch length dishes. Wonderfully seasoned, I would eat them for the sauce alone and chicken was tender. Served with rice and works great with it, but we also got some garlic naan (very garlicky would recommend). Chicken momos were ok in my opinion. Ok flavor but juicy and skin wasn't too thick. Isn't my taste personally, but similar to a korean mandu. However, can't rate them 5 stars because the service wasn't that great. We weren't checked on at all during our meal (or any of the tables next to us), no one even came to refill water. We had to flag them repeatedly to try and get the check and get a bag for our leftovers. They were attentive to what containers we needed for our leftovers though. Pros: - excellent spicy momos (and they are indeed SPICY). I don't think I've ever had momos so well cooked in this way--both crunchy and soft at the same time. How DO they do it? - best aloo palak I've ever had. It's so creamy without being actually heavy on the cream. - garlic naan was soft and fluffy. I could have done with more garlic flavor. - paneer tikka masala had good flavor. It was still too sweet for my taste, but I think most people would enjoy it. - best mango lassi I've had. The perfect level of sweetness, and I will say most Indian restaurants sweeten their mango lassis WAY too much. - good service - big parking lot (not sure if it's Bevmo's, but we parked there anyway) Cons: - they were out of strawberry lassi :[ and another flavor too (I forget which). After many years, I finally made it here. My vegetarian pals were happy to have a lot of options. The spicy momos were so good and retained their crunch after microwaving it the next day! I thoroughly enjoyed the aloo palak. The paneer tikka masala was a little sweet for my taste but still creamy and enjoyable. Garlic naan was light and fluffy. The chai and mango lassi were excellent too. Everyone at my table had different rankings of our favorite dishes but overall agreed the food was great. The restaurant was clean and service was quick. I like this place. I think they had a change in ownership with some furniture being replaced. I've always appreciated the good and service here. I had a stout beer which was fine. I tend to be drinking more dark beers especially German ones. The mo mo's are always good. This time I had the "Buff" ones which are buffalo. They kind of remind me of Chinese Shanghai dumplings. Garlic naan always a good addition to your main course. The goat thali was good in that you received a various selection of food items. I'll be back. read more

Went here for my friend's birthday and everything was delicious! I've been to a couple Indian places in the Bay Area but I can say that they have some of the best garlic naan and butter chicken. All of the appetizers were amazing too, would highly recommend the stir fried noodles with chicken and the chicken momo. The biggest area of improvement for me was price and portion sizing; we picked this spot for the novelty of the food and idea of having a venue to snack at. We've been several times. Both done in and take out. The last time we were here was take out and it was just okay, not great - maybe takeout doesn't travel well? So we chose to dine in on January. We called a reservation for 6 on a Friday night. Street parking was easy. The restaurant was pretty quiet with just a few occupied tables, I think they had a few deliveries/take outs picked up while we were there. We had a great dinner! Everybody was happy with their meal. I was craving for some spicy vegetable momos and found this place on Yelp. The reviews were high so I wanted to give this place a shot. My friends and I ordered chai, veggie momos, veggie chowmein, paneer tikka masala and garlic naan. The ambiance was nice. The restaurant was decorated well with Nepalese ornaments and had a very traditional touch. The presentation of the veggie momos was top notch. The momos were covered in a spicy garlic sauce and were coupled together with bell peppers and onions. The flavor of the momos was really good. We liked it so much that we ordered another round. The chai was cold, so unfortunately we had to ask them to redo it. The chowmein was bland so we asked for some chilly garlic sauce to enhance the flavor. The paneer gravy and the naan were cooked to perfection. The service was very good. Our server ensured that we were well taken care of. Was a bit disappointed, but may dine-in is better than take-out? My review is based on food delivery, not in-store purchase! Ordered the Khasi Ko Bhutuwa Set which is the Pan fried bone-in goat served with flattened rice, and Aloo Ko Achar (Nepali potato salad). The in-store pictures of the dish looked a lot better with a bigger portion, you can compare to the take-out version in the pictures below. The goat meat had A LOT of bones, not a lot of meat, was quite disappointed by the small amount of meat. I also ordered the Samosa Chaat which has Chopped vegetable samosa tossed with onions, chickpeas, topped with tamarind chutney, mint chutney, yogurt, and chaat masala. It is essentially as deconstructed Samosa Channa, but I didn't know that when I ordered it haha. Enjoyed a nice outdoor patio seating with friends. Service was a bit slow, but with only 1 waitress. We had to call her to start the order. Ambiance is very relaxing so you don't feel rushed if you want to spend a good 1.5 hour catching up with friends. Orders: 1.Garlic Naan- freshly out of the oven experience which makes it a must order item. The garlic was quite evident in the Naan. 2.Fish Curry- it was a green curry & was a more herb based sauce. Dishes were small so we were able to eat all but one piece. The filet was a nice thick piece of meat, but just not a big portion. 3. Chicken Momo-everyone recommended this, but I was not impressed. The ridges were hard & dried, the dumpling was nothing special for $10.99 4. Chicken Korma-this was a creamy Korma sauce with chicken that left my taste buds asking for more. It was our first time at Aangan. We had a late lunch and they were open when most have a break between lunch and dinner. The Chicken Tikka Masala, Cheese Naan, Garlic Naan and Chai tea (had 3 cups!) were EXCELLENT and enough to make us keep coming back to try more of their offerings.
