C Momo (Chicken or Buff or Vegan) Paneer Tikka Masala Aloo Palak (Vegan) Garlic Naan

After many years, I finally made it here. My vegetarian pals were happy to have a lot of options. The spicy momos were so good and retained their crunch after microwaving it the next day! I thoroughly enjoyed the aloo palak. The paneer tikka masala was a little sweet for my taste but still creamy and enjoyable. Garlic naan was light and fluffy. The chai and mango lassi were excellent too. Everyone at my table had different rankings of our favorite dishes but overall agreed the food was great. The restaurant was clean and service was quick. We got there around 5pm and there were plenty of open tables. I do plan to come back and try other dishes.

Food was delicious and the service was great. The server was very attentive and she made sure we got everything on time. 100% coming back here.

Sweaty dining experience! Ordered their lamb biryani and it was a lot of flavors packed into a small bowl. That being said I wish the portion size was bigger. This location was an interesting setup because I never seen an Indian restaurant + bar setup before. The service was slow.. I ended up taking my partner's water because they never refilled. Overall an 3.5*!

The food is really really good. There's a lot of love put into the recipes and you can really taste the difference. We get the chicken tikka masala, naan, panipuri and fish appetizer. The servers are very nice. The ambiance of the place is really great. A hidden gem.

There are moments when you don't just crave food ,you crave a feeling, a memory, a piece of home. That's exactly how I felt when I walked into Aangan Restaurant. I had been deeply missing authentic Nepali flavors, especially khasi ko choila and chicken choila. From the very first bite, it honestly felt like I was back home in Nepal. The smoky flavor, the perfect blend of spices, the freshness. it wasn't just food, it was comfort for my heart. Living far from home can sometimes feel lonely, but this meal brought so much warmth and happiness. It reminded me of family gatherings, festivals, and simple moments of joy. I truly didn't expect to find that kind of authentic taste here, but Angan Restaurant delivered beyond my expectations. The staff were also so kind and welcoming, which made the experience even more special. You can feel that they genuinely care about their customers. If you are someone who misses home or just wants to experience real Nepali flavors, this place is a blessing. I will definitely keep coming back, not just for the food, but for the feeling it gave me. Thank you, AnganRestaurant, and KP Bhai for bringing a piece of home to San Pablo, Albany!

Customer service needs some work. The food is good. Presentation is nice. Nice artwork.

I like this place. I think they had a change in ownership with some furniture being replaced. I've always appreciated the good and service here. I had a stout beer which was fine. I tend to be drinking more dark beers especially German ones. The mo mo's are always good. This time I had the "Buff" ones which are buffalo. They kind of remind me of Chinese Shanghai dumplings. Garlic naan always a good addition to your main course. The goat thali was good in that you received a various selection of food items. I'll be back.

Went here for my friend's birthday and everything was delicious! I've been to a couple Indian places in the Bay Area but I can say that they have some of the best garlic naan and butter chicken. All of the appetizers were amazing too, would highly recommend the stir fried noodles with chicken and the chicken momo. It's pretty dark and warm inside, food came quick too and service was attentive. Would definitely come again.

The food was great, wait staff was polite and attentive, and the restaurant was clean and had a cozy interior. The biggest area of improvement for me was price and portion sizing; we picked this spot for the novelty of the food and idea of having a venue to snack at. But as pictured the strawberry lassi is quite small (not mine), and while I typically can't stomach a full plate to myself and we were aiming to snack anyway, the plate the lunch special was served on ended up quite shallow.. not pictured but we got extra naan and takeout curry, and the total was $81 after tip. I've definitely had similar quality food for less..

We've been several times. Both done in and take out. The last time we were here was take out and it was just okay, not great - maybe takeout doesn't travel well? So we chose to dine in on January. We called a reservation for 6 on a Friday night. Street parking was easy. The restaurant was pretty quiet with just a few occupied tables, I think they had a few deliveries/take outs picked up while we were there. We had a great dinner! Everybody was happy with their meal. My Chicken Tikka Masala was delicious. I ordered it medium spicy, and it was just a right level of heat for me. I would come back here again!

The pork momos came in a unique shape and the chicken ones resembled potstickers. The chicken ones were much plumper and filled with juicy chicken. Never tried Pani Puri and these came four to an order with crispy shell filled with potatoes, chickpeas, spices on top of a glass with tangy water. You pour the water into the shell and pop it in your mouth. Fun and tasty. The naans were light and tasty and they came with a creamy dip. Pork ribs came two to an order. We were seated immediately and didn't need to look at the menu too long before we ordered. We decided on pani puri and veggie samosas for apps and tikka masala and butter chicken, rice and garlic naan. I ordered a vegan mango lassi and him a regular mango lassi. The pani puri was ok. I like the crispy, but I wasn't too fond of the filling to be chilled. It also had a slight sweetness to it and it wasn't my favorite. I've had it before, but I don't remember it being chilled on the inside, but what I do like about it what is that? It has a crispy shell when you bite into it. The veggie samosas were my favorites. The butter chicken was kind of bland as well as the tikka masala. It did not stop me from finishing my garlic naan with our dishes but I found myself wishing it was more flavorful. My vegan mango lassi had a taste that I wasn't too fond of and didn't finish it. At the end of the meal, it was more than $100 and that was sticker shock for me. The chicken tikka masala is a classic and definitely worth getting; it's flavorful and reliably good every time. But what really surprised me was the shrimp curry. I went in expecting the shrimp to be a bit overcooked or limited in quantity, but that wasn't the case at all. The shrimp were actually cooked really well and there was a generous amount in the dish, making it feel like a great value. One thing to keep in mind, rice doesn't automatically come with the curries, so you'll have to order it separately if you want it. That said, we usually skip the rice and go for naan instead, specifically the potato naan and garlic naan. Between the two, you get a really nice contrast in texture. The potato naan is thicker, soft, and fluffy on the inside, almost like a comforting, filled bread, while the garlic naan is thinner with a slightly crispy edge. Make sure not to sleep on the free chai tea, it's easy to miss if you're not looking for it. Off to the right of the cashier desk, there's a little self-serve station with cups, sugar packets, stir sticks, and a large container filled with hot chai. You can pour as much as you want, whenever you want, which is a nice touch and a great way to round out the meal. One thing to note about the atmosphere: there are occasional slow periods where the place can get really quiet, and you might even find yourself as the only table there. It can feel a little awkward in those moments, but it just depends on the time of day. When it's busy, though, it has a much more lively, energetic feel. Overall, it's a solid, low-key spot with good food, a family-friendly environment, and a few nice little perks that make it stand out.

The lamb thali was good but I think I was overwhelmed with everything on the plate. It was not bad, the lamb and lentil soup were good but I think I did not know how best to eat it so I could not fully appreciate it. I would give it a 6.5 The thai iced tea was pretty standard one.
