    Watermelon feta salad

Solid food, gorgeous ambience. Came for a late dinner on a Wednesday evening and this place was packed! We were seated within 5 minutes of arriving at 8pm. To start, we ordered the watermelon salad to share. The presntation was gorgeous and colorful, was a refreshing appetizer to get us started. For beverages, I had a pour of the fieldworks Belgian and my friend had a mango lassi. Both beverages were served in bespoke glassware and were delicious. For mains, we ordered the butter chicken and lamb curry (both medium spicy) to share, with a side of naan and two sides of rice. The butter chicken was rich and creamy, while the curry lamb had a nice balance of flavor and heat. Both were enhanced by the side of garlic naan. Overall, a solid meal and nice ambience.

Absolutely amazing. Best Indian food I've ever had! This place was wonderfully amazing and the place was such a nice restaurant to go on a date or a night out with friends. I took my girlfriend here and we both loved our experience here as our food was amazing. Everything we ordered was so full of flavor and was just amazing. Our service was also top notch and they were so helpful and kind to us. I wish I lived in this area to have it more but hopefully will be back

Indian Fusion is a hit! Wow, wow, wow! Garlic nan 10/10 - savory Cauliflower buffalo - surprisingly delicious and spicy! Not what I expected for a vegetarian dish, but it was delicious. Samosas a great little crunch! My lamb holy moly! I could have not been more satisfied with my purchase. This was so savory and a little bit charred at the right places. The lamb was tender and flavorful. We ended up getting rice for a bit of card on the side, and honestly we didn't need it because we had enough with the food. We were so pleasantly surprised because it was so delicious. We don't typically order Indian food, but we were so glad we tried this place. Will absolutely come back! The ambiance is so pretty! It's such a great instagramable moment! The staff was super friendly, and assisted us with everything and explained the menu very well.

I hadn't been to Berkeley in forever and stumbled across Noor on University Avenue across from Target. This cute, little, Indian fusion restaurant might have just been added to my favorites list!I saw a lot of my favorites on the menu but decided to try something different and boy am I glad I did! Perfect place for meat eaters, vegetarians, and even vegans! I also had a Lychee champagne drink that was refreshingly delicious! There was absolutely no room for dessert which gives me another reason to come back. You know I am totally one for details and I thought the way hey give you your check was the perfect added touch. The service was great and the place was pretty packed for a Wednesday. This just lets you know that it is obviously a local favorite! I see you Berkeley and thank you Noor Indian Fusion Kitchen you will be seeing again soon!

My fam went on Christmas Day because we didn't want to cook and it was vegan friendly for the hubz. Cute modern and inviting interior, friendly staff with great recommendations, and yummy Indian food with a modern twist. The service was a little hit or miss (waited a while for our tea, water refills) but we overall enjoyed our meal. There's paid and unpaid street parking but you should come early to snag a spot. Recommend the tandoori wings, butter chicken, veggie momos, black lentil dal, biryani, and garlic cheese naan- yum!

My friends and I ate at Noor to celebrate the beginning of the semester, and we were blown away. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and has a warm and inviting energy. The people working there are very friendly and sweet. We were seating immediately and ordered the winter persimmon salad, aloo gobhi, butter chicken, garlic naan, golden rice, muglai chicken changezi, and baigan bharta. For dessert, we ordered the pistachio rose tres leches and a mango saffron ice cream. Everything was amazing! It's been a few days and I still haven't stopped thinking about the baigan bharta and the butter chicken! It was tasty, flavorful, cooked perfectly, and presented beautifully. I genuinely cannot wait to go back and try more dishes! We were able to find parking closeby near a public park. Highly recommend Noor!

DOORDASH REVIEW: I don't make it out to Berkeley very often, but thanks to Doordash, I can enjoy Noor's delicious curries at home. Some of their dishes are only available for dine-in (pineapple curry), so I'll have to visit the restaurant sometime. Their curries are a bit creamier than most, and not as oily. I've never been disappointed by anything I've tried. What we got: + Lamb vindaloo - the lamb is so tender it falls apart. The potatoes soak up the flavorful curry, which has just a mild hint of heat. + Paneer Palak - spinach with cheese. They don't skimp on the cheese. Very yummy. + Butter chicken - flavorful, creamy, and good with tender cubes of chicken. + Chicken Tikka Masala - delicious with tender strips of chicken. + Naan - I really like their naan. It's soft and fresh with just the right amount of chew/stretch. The only minor complaint is the dishes were rather small. We ordered 4 curries for 4 people and we finished it all. Usually we'd have leftover if we ordered 4 curries from other Indian places. This place is also pricer than other Indian places, but I guess you get what you pay for because all the food was excellent.

We had the most interesting experience at Noor. You walk into a well lit dining area that is very warm and welcoming. You sat down and one of the staff members immediately tried to take the order even before the water was set. That was the only issue we had with our experience. We eventually ended up ordering with a very nice server who did an exceptional job. We ordered the butter chicken with garlic naan. The kale chaat to start, the malai chicken appetizer and daal makhni. Garlic naan was flaky and crispy, and had a nice crunch to it, it was very fresh. The pot of chicken had a nice balance of sweet and spicy as well as creamy texture with an amazing chicken quality. The daal was also made to perfection with a creamy and rice texture. The kale chaat was the sleeper, the one dish that shocked. It was so fresh and crispy and paired well in this dish. Overall, lovely experience and food quality is exceptional

I consistently have fantastic experiences with Noor - I have ordered for pickup and have dined in. Parking is available on the street, I have never had any issue finding a spot. I am always able to reach someone by phone if needed. The service is great for both pick up and dine in. For pick up, my food has always packaged well, stays warm and does not spill. Dining in is a must, the interior decor, ambiance and overall vibe is perfect. Most recently we had my daughter's birthday dinner here with a large group. The restaurant was very accommodating and the food was so good (as it always is). While I love all of the dishes I have tried at Noor, my favorites are the pineapple curry (only available for dine in), the butter chicken, methi malai chicken and the chicken biriyani. I particularly love that Noor offers dairy free and/or nut free modifications to our favorite dishes. They also let you select your spice level and make other modifications as needed. Overall, highly recommend Noor, will be back again and again!

It was our last day of school for the semester at UC Berkeley and we wanted to celebrate over dinner. We found this restaurant after a quick Yelp search. There was plenty of parking available. The wait time was negligible and we were seated almost immediately. The restaurant itself is not very big but beautifully decorated and has a nice vibe. We got hara bhara kebab and veg momos for appetizers. The food came out pretty quickly! The momos came with a sauce. They were flavorful and the portion size was great. The hara bhara kebab tasted a bit bland and the portion size was less. Next, we got the paneer lababdar. The server mentioned that for 3 people, we might need 3 curries, but we decided to order 2 and get more as needed. We also got some garlic naan since the curry didn't come with rice. The entree came out pretty quickly. The paneer in the gravy was soft and the curry was authentic and delicious. The naan was cooked to perfection. We were full with the 2 curries and didn't need another one. We also got the tres leche cake slice. It was topped with pistachios and rose petals and we couldn't wait to dig in. I must say the presentation was top notch! The flavor was yummy and had notes of cardamom too. The cake slice was enough for 3 people. All in all the food was delicious!

We made a last-minute dinner reservation for a group of 11 people at Noor Indian Fusion and it was a pleasant experience. The restaurant is nicely decorated with modern & contemporary style decor. There's a a good amount of seating and a bar area, and the restaurant is spacious. I will say the entry way is slightly narrow and cramped, but easy to access/walk through. The menu had a good amount of sharable appetizers and various vegetarian and meat based curries along with sides. The individual who took our order made sure to check in about any allergies and assisted us with ordering different items to ensure we had enough food for the group. Customer service was attentive and friendly, and I think the staff did a great job of ensuring our group was comfortable. Luckily, the restaurant wasn't too busy when we visited on a Monday night. We were going back and forth on choosing sharable dishes and opted to order the pani puri, spicy cauliflower wings, and papadum. The shareable items were small portions, but pretty tasty. I enjoyed trying the pani puri, which was savory and slightly tangy. The spicy cauliflower had a nice spice and a bit of a kick. I was curious about the momos, but didn't get to order them. We also ordered the butter chicken, chicken changezi, rogan josh, dumplings biriyani, and daal makhani. I didn't try every dish, but the dum biryani with lamb had a good flavor and spice. I also really liked the daal makhani with basmati rice. The garlic naan was not very garlicky, but I enjoyed it. The plain and butter naan were pretty good too. Each order of naan has about 4 pieces total. I thought the butter chicken was tasty, but wished I had requested it to be more spicy. We were satisfied with the flavor of each dish, and ordered enough to have leftovers. The pricing for each dish was a little more pricey, such as each Chicken curry dish was $22 and each shareable appetizer was around $12 - 14 each. Each order of naan was around $4-5. Honestly, I'd recommend skipping the shareable options and stick to ordering a few curry entrees. The dessert menu had a good amount of options, but we were too full from our meal, so I would like to try some dessert options next time. In addition, street parking may be limited depending on when you go, but the residential areas may have more parking and it's a quick walk to the restaurant. Another thing to note- currently there's some construction work outside the restaurant, so one of the entrances is closed, but you can go around and enter through a nearby door. Noor Indian Fusion was better than expected and I would consider visiting again, especially if you're looking for a nice ambiance and a great dining experience.

Chicken Korma and Garlic Cheese Naan
    David S.

I had heard great things from friends, and the Yelp reviews provided additional support, so Noor Indian Fusion Kitchen had been on my list for the last few months. Finally, the right time had arrived (work was paying for dinner and I didn't have much time to grab something), so I called in an order last week. It's a bit pricey, even for Berkeley. The $22.00 Chicken Korma does not come with rice, so I also ordered the Garlic Cheese Naan, which was $7.00 (and more than the online menu suggests). After tax and a modest tip, my takeout dinner for one cost $34.98. I don't love that their suggested tip amounts are 20%, 22%, and 25% - as though 20% is the minimum one should consider - or that the percentages are based on the price after taxes, but at least the receipt says that upfront. The korma was fantastic, and I enjoyed the naan as well. Noor loses a star both because of the high cost and the fact that I was overcharged, but I would definitely return.

The ambiance of this place is nice. It's the perfect mix of dressed up a little but not to the point of fine dining. Perfect if you want some where to go for a nice evening and dress up but can also be dressed a little down as well and won't break the bank. The food was yummy! We got the butter chicken which I think was the star. Personally thought the biryani lacked some flavor. The palak paneer was also classic. I think the food was good for an Indian restaurant but you're going more for good food and better ambiance while not having a super fine dining Indian place that sometimes misses on the food but hits on the ambiance. Or those rare adds where there is both. The service was good attentive staff and they even kept and brought out a cake for us.

    Pani Puri - so good!

The restaurant is fairly small with probably about a half a dozen tables, etc. The owner was very polite, and thankfully very patient with us for a friends lunch. We originally had plans for another restaurant, but this location, etc. worked out. Everyone spent quite a bit of time catching up, and we were made to feel at home. I ordered a side of fries for a shareable at the table. I found the fries to be very underwhelming and needed more seasoning and considering that it's seven dollars for a side of fries the serving was pretty mediocre. I ordered the lamb/beef gyro plate. The side salad was very fresh and had a light vinaigrette dressing. I would have liked for the dressing to be more of an actual vinaigrette flavor. The rice was light and fluffy, but again, lacked seasoning/flavor. The side of yogurt sauce, was tasty, but did not hit the spot. Why? Because it really lacked the flavors. Notice a theme? I will say, the meat was tender, and it had a really nice flavor to it. It was delicious enough that it was very difficult to differentiate between a lamb flavor versus a beef flavor. It all tasted good together. The soft drinks are rather pricey. It was around $3.50 for a bottled Coke. Yikes! When we were done with our meal, we were served complementary hot tea. It was a nice touch.
