Corn pizza! This spot really shines in its daily different ways pizzas with fresh ingredients! There's no line to wait and the whole pie comes out within minutes. Service is kind and will give water cups. It's a causal spot and spacious restaurant with table and booth seating!

Sliver never disappoints! Fresh ingredients, cooked perfectly, extra cheesy, and full of flavor! We love the corn and asparagus toppings as well as their mushroom pizzas. You can't forget the green sauce either. Staff was super friendly and they had cute holiday decor. We will be back!

a berkeley classic! their green sauce is amazing as always (and I don't usually like cilantro). I ordered a slice of the daily special as a snack and of course it came with a sliver! I personally love it when their pizza comes with corn (their menu rotates daily) and FYI all their pizzas are vegetarian. Sliver reminds me of Cheeseboard but is more conveniently located near campus/southside. Usually my friends and I would order a whole box and share the whole thing. Service is very fast and you bus your own table.

You don't have to stand and hold up the line anymore because there's only one pizza option on the menu. The staff is friendly and they'll get you your order in about 5-10 minutes. Plenty of seating, such as tables, benches, or a couch. The pizza will come with green sauce, which you can feel free to smother all over your slivers. The green sauce provides some freshness and acidity to the savoriness and cheesiness of the pizza. A go-to spot for me in Berkeley.

TLDR: Yummy Veggie Pizzas by the Slice or Whole, Friendly Service, Spacious interior, casual vibe. Find it on Downtown Shattuck Ave just a couple doors down from the main entry to the Berkeley BART station. Carnivores need not wince.. this is good stuff, speaking as a fellow carnivore! Vegan friendly if that's your thing.. B a c k s t o r y : Being a college town, Berkeley is no stranger to Pizza, with nearly every variety represented here across the many pizza joints scattered through town. Yet, as an enclave for "healthy" eating, Berkeley seems to have its own take on vegetarian pizzas, which started out at The Cheese Board further up Shattuck Avenue in the "Gourmet Ghetto", but has since expanded to "Sliver Pizzeria" - an entirely new local chain of pizza places started by alumni from the Cheese Board. The P I Z Z A : At Sliver, there is a different Pizza-of-the-Day every day, Veggie, of course. Though the toppings may seem sometimes a bit unconventional often with Yukon Potatoes, Corn, a hint of lime usually over Mozzerella, the result is tasty and amazing on the tongue. The crust is thin, like a NY style and what's cool and why they call this place "Sliver" is that you get a bonus sliver of pizza to go with your normal-sized slice. At the condiments bar, they also have a zesty green sauce and limes to go on the side with your pizza. Sliver also has locations on Telegraph, two more locations in Oakland and over in Lafayette too. My go-to is this Sliver here in Berkeley. Count me in as a "regular" =)

We visited on a Wednesday evening, and was glad to find a place that was open late. (We were coming from the airport) Found this place and decided to give it a shot, since it had great reviews. We entered and loved the simplicity of their menu. Choose how many slices you want with their pizza of the day. We decided to get a two slice with their green sauce. Whomever created their green sauce, *chefs kiss*. Their pizza was delicious too. We will definitely be back.

Not crowded on a Saturday noon. A good amount of indoor seating, felt spacious. There's even a couch area. My friend and I each ordered a slice of the pizza of the day, which was the potato pizza. It was ready in less than 10 minutes. It came piping hot and I liked the crunch of the crust. The green sauce was pretty good too! Added lots of flavor to the pizza and I dipped it for every bite.

    Sally C.

Service is great. Food is great. Check the menu online before you stop by. It's only one type of pizza per day. Their green sauce is very good. Overall, good price and taste so yummy.

Finally tried sliver and it was great! They only have one pizza flavor per day and the day I went was Yukon potatoes and corn and it was delightful. The corn was sweet but there wasn't a crazy amount which can over power the pizza and the potatoes were crispy even though it was on top of a pizza and under cheese. Also they had this cilantro pesto sauce which is so delectable to have with the pizza. My favorite part is the tiny sliver of pizza they put on top of every order it's so cute. Service is super fast as the pizza is already made, they just warm it up and pack it in a box before handing it to you. It's a typical fast casual place, you bus your self and order at the front.

Quick service and great pizza. Similar to cheese board in the sense of one type of menu offering per day. Got the corn pizza and it was great. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area, the wait on a Saturday wasn't long there was no line and only took about 5-10 minutes for a whole pizza. Expensive though for a pizza ($30).

    Wilson C.

Slivers is pretty good! Their green sauce and red sauce really adds another dimension of flavor for the pizzas.

Do you get a sliver when you order a whole pizza?

Yes! You usually get 2 or 3 :)

Each of their slices are huge and great for the price of ~$8! But Blondie's still knows how to crank out slices that are very satisfying for a quick bite. I got their classic pepperoni and it still plentifully loaded with beef pepperoni on a slice sizable enough to make you think twice before ordering two of them. I stuck with one. Something about the texture does not say dough prepared daily to my palate. Still, it's quick and delicious. The spicy tomato sauce and four cheese blend offer a nice balance to the doughy crust. Slices start as $6.99 for cheese. Vegetarian and a daily special are also available. Whole pies too -- $14 for a small cheese pie. 12 varieties to choose from and sizes ranging from 10' to the 22" Godzilla pizza. Not to mention wings or breadsticks. Order from a cashier or, when it's busy, a kiosk. For seating, there are only 3 small tables + 3 chairs at the window counter. Lot's of standing room or it's easy food to walk with. If you can't find street parking, the Telegraph-Channing lot is relatively inexpensive at $3/hour. Enter from Channing Way or Durant Ave.

The location gives it a lively downtown vibe with lots of energy from the surrounding area and nearby students. The reservation and check-in process was very smooth. The staff were incredibly courteous, welcoming, and helpful throughout the visit. I actually arrived about 30 minutes earlier than my reservation time, and they were kind enough to seat us early, which was a really nice touch. One thing I really like about this place is that they update their dishes a few times a year, so every visit can feel a little different and exciting. The menu has great variety, especially when it comes to pizza styles as you can choose from New York, Sicilian, Detroit, and Grandma-style pizzas, and the pricing is very straightforward for all the sizes they serve. The pizza was perfectly cooked and tasted great. They also allow you to customize your pizza by adding or removing ingredients, which makes it very convenient for everyone to choose based on their liking. And they add toppings with open-heart. The pasta was also excellent. We ordered the Peperoncino pasta, and it tasted amazing. The garlic flavor and breadcrumbs were really the highlight and brought out the authentic character of the spaghetti. Another big plus is that they have plenty of vegetarian options, making it easy for different dietary preferences. The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable for what they serve. Food arrived quickly, and the service from the servers and staff was great throughout the visit. The restaurant also has plenty of space and handles reservations well. The atmosphere is lively with lots of people around and students from the nearby university, which adds to the downtown Berkeley energy. A little more upbeat music could add even more charm to the place. Overall, this is a place I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Berkeley. The first time I came here many months ago, the pizza was better. After having a different Detroit style (Joyride) a few days later I realized that this one was not as good. My biggest issue is that I feel ripped off by this pizzeria. They charged me $3.99 for a takeout fee. I ordered directly on the website and it routed me to Toast. It wasn't even clear that they had a fee for taking out, they kinda slide it right past you. This is the first time I've ever experienced this level of robbery. Just for that, I wouldn't go back for takeout. The pizza is already $33 and what the hell is this fee even for? And they have the audacity to ask for tip on top of this while checking out. It's just insanity. You shouldn't do this to customers. Edit: I was scrolling reviews and saw the manager's response to someone who also complained about this fee, saying they don't control what Toast charges for takeout. Come on, really? You can control what platform you use. That's a poor excuse.
