The chicken tenders are good. I also have tried the chicken bites. I had the spicy version and regular. I love spicy chicken. This one was a bit disappointing. They just add some spicy seasoning to the regular chicken. This doesn't allow even coverage. If the breading was a spicy breading mixture versus spicy seasoning it would work better. Some of my chicken had no spicy seasoning and some one piece seemed to have most of it in one spot. I do think their tenders are some of the smaller pieces compared to other chicken places. I also tried the key lime dessert, it was so sweet I couldn't have more then one bite. read more

So the place was naturally clean because it's brand new, and the employees were good. Kind. The food is made to order, so it comes out fresh and piping hot. I ordered the cayenne ranch chicken sandwich and a order of okra. The seasoning on the breading of the okra is non-existent. My sandwich in my opinion is pretty small for the price, but it tasted good. Not the best, but not the worst either. I typically use Louisiana hot sauce on my okra, but I don't think they have that here, but they didn't even offer any ketchup or ranch so I had to go back inside and ask. I can say I tried it. It's definitely not a place that I'll specifically leave the house to go to, like Burger King, or Dave's Hot Chicken. We have been to this location several times. We mostly use the drive thru but have been inside the restaurant as well. The times I've gone inside, the restaurant has been clean and provides ample seating. There is also outdoor seating. I've always received friendly service at this location. My husband likes to order the Chicken Sandwich and I usually order the Classic Meal Combo with fried tenders. It comes with 4 tenders, Texas Toast, 1 side, a dipping sauce and a drink. You can also order grilled tenders - I prefer the fried. I've tried their fries, fried pickles and Mac n cheese, which have all been tasty. Food was much better we've come here several times sometimes the chicken has been tough in the past tonight. Everything tasted really good. And hot We substituted French fries for fried okra. The okra was tasty though. I think they could've cooked it just a tad longer because some pieces were not quite done. . The Texas toast was very good and we had a Dr Pepper. It was perfect for a party we were heading to and a solid deal considering that same order is normally around $42, which feels pretty steep for the quality. That said... someone needs to put a warning on their website. The "spicy" tenders are FREAKING spicy. I accidentally selected spicy, and since most of our group likes heat, I figured "whatever." My boyfriend, who genuinely loves super spicy food, was sweating. The flavor is actually great for the first few bites, really good seasoning, but then BAM, the heat hits hard. My husband and I are so sad that SuperChix closed. When it was open, it was hands down our favorite chicken strips shop. We tried Slim Chickens when it first opened, and it was just OK. Now that the crowds have lessened and the training of the teams has improved, they are now four stars to me. The chicken and the fries are tasty, and the team members do a more regular job of cleaning the tables in between customers. The young people who work here are friendly and provide good service. Downsides: I don't find either their cole slaw or potato salad tasty. They have a ton of dipping sauces, but the only place they are listed in the store is on the wall behind the cashiers, and you have to choose right when you order. There is adequate space for dining in with additional outdoor seating. I was given a number and the order taker brought my meal to my table in just a couple of minutes. I ordered the tender and wing combo. I switched my side from fries to fried okra. Being from the south I love fried okra and it was not disappointing. First time trying Slim Chicken's and it was actually our first time trying chicken and waffles and we are glad we did. When you walk in, you're greeted with a smile. Our counter person was very kind and helpful. We ordered the chicken and waffle Wednesday special, the fried okra and a jar dessert. You can eat the chicken alone and the waffle alone and they both taste delicious in their own right or you can add Louisiana Hot Sauce and eat it all together and it's even better. I ended up over spending by $6 but I was so tired and hungry and there was a long line behind me I sucked it up and left. I came home which was only about ~10 minute drive and my chicken sandwich bottom bun was so soggy. I don't know if it was the heat in the sandwich box that just totally annihilated my sandwich but it was inedible. The chicken seemed stale. The bacon on the sandwich seemed like it was all fat. I took a few sad bites and couldn't do it. The fries portion was huge but the fries were bland and not worth it either. I'm so happy we got one of these in town, not that I knew about them before hand but I'm obsessed. Ate here about 3 times and haven't been upset once. They're on it here and super quick! I absolutely love the dessert here too. Cheesecake (constant changing flavors) in a jar with whipped creme?! And you get to keep the jar?! Yes please. Incidentally, my favorite is definitely the chicken wings. Did you know you can have them dipped into any of their sauces? Fast-food chicken wings is a dream come true. Thereby, making so many choices. Just imagine having a variety of chicken wings with different flavors. I actually prefer the chicken strips here to other fast food companies in our area. The inside of the building is quite pretty with a nice brick texture and nice decorations laid about! I got my family and I's food to go, so I wasn't able to fully enjoy the experience here, but based off of the food we received, how fast we received it , I am impressed.
