This is my 3rd time trying Slim Chickens and super fortunate to have it in town! They have a variety of chicken options such as classic tenders, bone in wings, chicken wraps, etc. I usually grab a hungry meal and spilt it with my partner, perfect for sharing. There's an array of different sauces, my favorites (as of now) are the slim sauce and honey mustard. Workers are friendly and clean the restaurant for a perfect eating environment. The food is more salty then I like it to be, but not a major issues. I'd definitely recommend this place! read more

Let me just give an employee the recognition he deserves! Jake is a pinned employee with the company which means he's impressed his clientele and management, and for good reasons. We consistently had staff offering to refill our drinks, to help us out in any way while we got our order. Plus. They reminded us of what southern hospitality should mean to a business with a heavy designation out south/east. Get Jake a raise and thank your staff for such great service! Food: chic fil a and canes.... Watch out. Not just is their toast better... Jake gave us the secret. Ask for the tenders to be tossed. Between the chicken wings and tenders with fries and toast. Tenders are well fried, juicy, and crispy! Pair that with a sauce of your choice. 4.5/5. Wings get a solid 5/5 from me, crispy enough to the bite, tender enough for the chew. Paired mine with the sweet chili and cayenne ranch. Fries were well seasoned and hot so that paired with the best piece of toast you can imagine. I'd say you're dealing with some good food for the price. Just ask Jake for the sauce!!! Very impressed for a day 1 opening meal. Came in during the opening week, I believe it was day 3 or day four after the grand opening, to see what's the hype all about, I heard from co-workers they are good chicken place. Came in on a busy evening rush, I was able to find parking and empty table. The place was jam packed, the drive through is also busy with long lines of cars. I ordered Chicken Tenders, it's is delicious, right amount of crisps, the chicken is moist and not dry. Friendly staff members. As far as Services go, they brought the meal to table, since it's an opening week, I will revisit the location at later time, as far as the food goes, I would recommend it to family and friends. read more

They don't know how to listen to instructions after ordering in the drive-through and them repeating back the order they still got the order wrong then had to go in 4 more times each time they "fixed it" it was still wrong and they had to remake it by the fifth time it was finally fixed! Service was great! Friendly, helpful and with a smile! Ordered the 5:5 that comes with wings and tenders. Wings come with 1 sauce and tenders 2 dipping sauce, fries, toast and soda. A little too much, but I'm sure will be ok for leftovers tomorrow. Ordered fried pickles- lightly breaded and was perfect. Food came out very quick. I was expecting a little longer wait time. 0 STARS! TRASH SERVICE! Every time we come here and order they get it wrong and we have to have it remade every single time! This time was the worst experience so far! We order through the drive thru and ask for a slims wrap with NO SAUCE in the wrap and add tomato & mango habanero sauce on the side. They repeat it back to us slims wrap no sauce add tomato and mango habanero on the side. We received our food and of course you guessed it, it has ranch inside because they can't read or follow instructions! So we already drove away from the window and parked in the front to have them redo it. I bring it to the counter and tell them that we wanted no sauce in the wrap. They then bring me a new one with mango habanero sauce inside like bruh what are you doing? I have them remake it AGAIN with no sauce and I hand her the receipt and she says oh we don't need that. (Yes you do trust me) Of course not because they don't read the instructions. The next wrap was almost perfect except now they forgot to add tomato. Keep in mind on the receipt it says add tomato no sauce and on the SIDE MANGO HABANERO SAUCE the little piece of paper with instructions on what's in the wrap. Like the thing you're supposed to read before making the food. At this point I ask the shift leader (ADI was her name) why is it that every time I come here you guys mess up the order? She gave me some B.S Answer about oh we can't hear good sometimes on the speaker and I said then why did they repeat the order back to me correctly? She then had the Audacity to say "then just don't come back if we keep messing it up." Ok ADI we won't ever come back but you shouldn't be a shift leader sweetheart if you don't know how to act/respond when a customer is pissed off that you can't do your job correctly! 4 times I had to come in because your employees and yourself (ADI) don't know how to listen, read or follow instructions! Rounding up. Dining room is spacious and clean. Staff very friendly and all seemed to be staying busy working hard. We got an assortment of food, fingers, wings, waffle, and mac and cheese. Generous portion for the price point. For the wings I ordered with the hot sauce and got korean and mango habanero on the side. The hot wasn't and the mango habanero weren't too spicy. This was my first time coming in. I was skeptical because of all the new chicken places coming to Reno/Sparks, and was pleasantly surprised. Service was excellent - they brought the food out in about 5 mins. Chicken was fresh and juicy, fries and toast were great too. Plus, they had the ball game up on the TV, what is there to beat? Went through the drive thru last night, customer service was nice. however i asked the young guy who served me to ensure that my drink was sweet tea as i've had the issue of not receiving sweet tea. he told me it was. once i got home UNSWEET TEA.. and in addition my chicken was like beef jerky. dry and horrible to bite into. my dogs enjoyed it! i got a cajun sandwich for my husband and he experienced the same thing with his chicken, horrible! we won't be going back to Slims which is a bummer because they were good when they first opened. read more

I tried coming two Fridays in a row, second time was the charm in this case. There were a few cars ahead of me but it wasn't very clear to order at the screen or with the attendant outside. I saw the car ti my right ordered at the screen. I made it ti the menu and like that there was a great variety of food options from sandwiches, chicken tenders ti wraps. In my case I ordered with the attendant. What was difficult to observe was how the manager reprimanded the young attendant for standing in an area which would not ease the car flow. I think this was maybe their second week of being open and this was a young guy trying his best: but she told him "you might as well go inside." Considering this was likely a first job there's ways of handling supervision in a more appropriate and private way. When I placed my order I inquired about the dessert pots available and was told that they were out but they had brownies; okay I'll give it a try. Upon pulling up to the cashier I thought to ask again and was told hang on let me check and sure enough they had some dessert pots available! Given the update in order the cashier forgot to ring me up and as I reminded her she says "I wouldn't have said anything!" Not my style. In trying the food I knew the first few bites I didn't enjoy the chicken sandwich the sauce was too garlicky. The only redeeming food item was the Brie is dessert pot. This place is really fun and yummy. The line is also not too long. The line was about four in front of me and took between five and ten minutes. The cashier was also very helpful with getting my free chicken sandwich coupon to pull up on my app. In addition to the chicken sandwich (breaded with a slightly spicy ranch sauce, lettuce, pickles, and a brioche bun) I also got mac and cheese which was creamy style, fried mushrooms, strawberry cheesecake dessert in a jar (very good), and a chocolate milkshake. The experience was quick and easy. It is a bit cold inside with the cooler and all the ceiling fans going but the food was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. My daughter and I have been waiting for this place to open for months! Today my daughter decided to walk over to check it out. We both got chicken tender meals with the garlic sauce. The chicken was great. The sauce was outstanding! I can't place it by it did taste familiar. It's tangy so if tangy is not your thing skip this sauce. The toast was buttery and delightful. The fries were ok but I'm super picky about fries so don't take my word for that. My daughter got her free brownie dessert for her bday. It was nice and not to sweet! Luckily one of my kiddos was able to get a job with them and that allowed us to attend their soft opening. We missed the dine-in opportunity but took advantage of their drive-thru soft opening. From placing our order to getting our food the service was amazing. The chicken strips were juicy, the wrap was delicious, and the fried pickles are amazing!! The honey bbq is my favorite and the ranch was a split decision. I loved it but others in the house said it was too thin/runny. We were eager to try Slim Chickens and wanted a quick snack. Luckily we had a coupon for the Sriracha Chicken sandwich, so we popped in to get it, along with an order of fried pickles. On a whim, I asked for the blue cheese sauce and it was delicious, as was the chicken sandwich. We are eager to return to try other items. The fried pickles were salty, so we probably won't order them again. We visited when they first opened and there was literally a line through the parking lot for the drive through. We decided to order inside and were very impressed with how they handled this large crowd. The person taking our order was polite and very professional. The food came out quickly and was exactly what we ordered. Frankly, it was very impressive management in what could have been total chaos. The restaurant decor is comfortable and modern. I love that there is a new chicken joint in town! I finally made it over here with my dad and had a great experience! We went just before lunchtime and it wasn't busy at all. The restaurant is very open with a ton of seating options. They do a good job of keeping it clean as well. The staff were welcoming and quick to offer suggestions as it was our first visit. For food, I ordered the cayenne ranch sandwich and it was absolutely delicious! Lots of flavor and came out nice and hot. For dessert I had the strawberry cheesecake jar dessert - HIGHLY recommend. Generally speaking, if I go to a place that just opened a week ago, I expect there may be some minor service issues that they will iron out, and I give them a pass. Sadly this visit was such an epic fail, I have to lay it all out. The typical long line of a new place. However , something was not right. All payment and ordering was done at your car, so you would think, when you got to the window, you would just take your food and leave. For some reason, the time at the window was taking as long as ordering. At some point a red haired worker comes out and shuts down one drive up line. My husband and I are thinking they must have run out of food?! After quite a bit of conversation, the red head worker sends one of the order takers inside, and then bags of food start coming out to the cars in line...hate it when they do that.it's not like you can eat it while on line. As I'm watching this, I'm thinking this isn't so bad, we will get our food and then be able to pull out of line, and leave, it's a double driveway. Sadly they were bringing out food with no drinks, so we had to wait in our car with food getting cold to finally find out when we got to the window, that their shake machine wasn't working. They offered my husband a soda instead. But not a refund, when he mentioned the cost difference, they offered him a brownie. Momentary smile. We drive away to park., and eat. No forks or napkins. Tried this place more than once and each time I can say it's "Meh". Ordered the Slims meal which is 5 tenders side and a drink about $14. The tenders here were warm but they always seem to be overcooked. The breading is hard and some parts are inedible. I got the okra side which was actually good. The chicken is just ok. Jack in the box actually has better chicken strips. In all it's ok but not a place I crave to go for fast food chicken. read more

Happened to be over in that area and thought we'd try out the "new place". First of all they have a decent selection of menu items for just being a "chicken place". Really seems like a mix between Chick-fil-A and Raising Canes and Buffalo Wild Wings. So my wife could have a salad and I could have chicken fingers, but then I also tried the wings. (But you can also get chicken and waffles there if you want.) The service there was very friendly and helpful. I asked if the wings were all boned and she said they are, but you can get the tenders done with any of the wing sauces...so essentially you can get "boneless wings" if you wanted. The food was served quickly and hot. The sauces I tried were flavorful. They kept coming around to see if everything was OK. The manager was active in "managing". They have a rewards program on their app which is easy to get credit for (barcode from the receipt). The restaurant was clean and well maintained. We don't live in the area, and might not make a special trip to go there, but it is a definite choice for "fast food" if we're back in the area. read more

Well, I finally tried this place. Here we go. The restaurant is The, and friendly. I got the bacon and chicken sandwich, and I found it to be very good. Some bites were a little overcooked, which is why I didn't give them five stars the chicken is thick moist and juicy, the bacon is good, and the lettuce tomato and Sauce they put on his really good bird and the bun is kind of like a brioche bun. Very soft and tasty. The fries were average, comparable to Wendy's in texture The one place they really hit it out of the park though was the dessert. They have these desserts that are in glass containers that you can convert later on at home into a cup or whatever. Those desserts are top shelf. Straight up WOW. Overall, I will be back. read more
