Ordered from here twice now and guess I'm optimistic. The chicken is OK, but for the cost I would have expected a little more. Especially with all the chicken chooses that are out there. I'm not saying it's bad, just that they lack something in flavor, and portions are small. When it comes to their sauces they are good. A wide variety and this is why I gave 3 stars because the sauces are good. Wouldn't be my go to chicken place, but if I'm a pinch I'd go back since I know what I'm getting. read more

I got the slims meal which comes with five chicken tenders, two half slices of toast, and a good amount of fries. Right after ordering, we set down our numbers on a table and were about to go get drinks, and the workers were behind us with our food. These were some of the best tenders I had, they were soft, juicy, and flavorful. The fries and toast were also very good, they exceeded my expectations. I also got the oreo cheesecake jar dessert, which was just as good as it sounds. As for the price, I think the slims meal was reasonably priced at about $12. The jar dessert was a bit expensive at $7, but you get to keep the glass jar. Overall it was an amazing experience and I'll definitely be coming back! read more

A great stay open late joint in Murfreesboro, TN. ordered online and picked up. The food was hot!! The potato salad was exceptional. Was not thrilled with the chicken wings but the chicken strips were very good. read more

Service sucked waited for 45 min for our food nobody knew where our order was all the girls looked overwhelmed with food stacking up everywhere . There three others who also got the wrong food . No leadership or organization at all! read more

For a fast food chicken joint, this place EXCEEDED my expectations! I ordered the cayenne ranch chicken sandwich and was so impressed with the flavor! The bun was perfect, the chicken was clean and delicious. I will say there was a long wait for a drive thru but it was well worth the wait! Can't wait to go back! read more

Located next to Burger King, Slim Chickens is a unique take on wings and tenders. Different dip and wing flavors, unique sides and drinks and a spacious indoor/outdoor dining area made my visit a very pleasant one. The counter service was helpful and friendly and patient while I looked over the menu. Take a number and put it on your table and wait for the food to be prepared and delivered. Nice televisions offered views from all seats (NHL play-offs today!). read more

Slim chickens on memorial definitely needs to figure out what they are doing. I went in to order and waited for over 45 minutes on our food as they continued to only do door dash orders. This place is ridiculous and the management is horrible, also I never even saw anyone that looked like the manager. Unless you have all the time in the world to wait it's definitely not worth it. This place apparently is ran by kids. The employees literally stood around and played as ALOT of people were waiting on food for a long time. We only got a mac bowl, no drink no fries, a chicken wrap no fries no drink, a 5 tender meal and a chicken sandwich meal. I also ordered certain sauces and of course it was incorrect. You would think as long as it took the order would at least be correct. I would understand if we ordered the whole menu it having to wait a while, but come on it was 4 things with fries. The customer service is fine, but the way this place is being ran needs to be way better and more in a timely manner. read more

Slim Chicken has some of the best tenders in town! I get the Slim meal which comes with 5 tenders, Texas toast, and a side of your choice! I recommend fries as a side with their signature slim sauce! You simply cannot go wrong that! Their drive through is usually a bit packed but they have plenty of inside seating including booths! Their jar deserts are also really great to! Thanks for great service Slim Chicken! read more

Avoid this place around lunchtime. It is ridiculously busy and super slow. It took me 40 minutes just to get through the drive-through line and when I finally got my food, it was ice cold. read more

Tonight, my organization paid for a meal for a homeless teenager and her boyfriend. I have the receipt. These kids had been in the snow and cold for days and have literally nobody. They sat and waited without a phone for us to order their meal. Then the restaurant kicked them out for being homeless and waiting for food. And called the police. Luckily another customer was watching and had their backs. Even as the police came, she had their backs. And yet still had to follow these kids to the shelter to make sure the police didn't take them elsewhere. The restaurant hung up on my organization 3 times when we tried to intervene on their behalf. I guarantee you don't want to eat at a place with so little human kindness. Also... they serve dead birds. read more

This place is fire. Wings do not taste like they are from a fast food place. Tenders taste like they are from a sit down restaurant. I got the 5 & 5 meal plus a large drink for like $11ish. I ordered and ate inside because the drive thru line was long. Nice inside and my food did not take but a few minutes to get to my table. So glad I finally tried it, and I am very much looking forward to stopping back in sometime soon! I hope they continue to open more locations in the Middle Tennessee area! TRY IT!!!!! read more

Their jar desserts are amazing! I had a free coupon for a Cayenne Ranch Sandwich so i ordered that with Mac n cheese. I got home and they had even given me an order of fries! It was delicious. I always receive excellent, quick customer service that goes not disappoint. read more

Wings are great. Fresh cut tenders are great. Sauces are spot on. BUT... when going through the drive through do not pull away before checking your order. I asked for pickle chips rather than fries on the tender meal... got fries. I asked for mango habanero sauce... got BBQ. We still ate everything, it was good, as always... I just wish for once I could get what I ordered in the drive through. This place is a source for highs and lows for me.... fortunately the lows are not too bad... but dang it... when you want pickles and you don't get them... that's a LOW. I checked the receipt, I thought just maybe they entered the order wrong... NOPE. read more

Amazing fast food chicken place! My husband and I have been visiting this place since we moved to the area. There chicken is always tasty and never cold. The portions are generous and they have tons of sauces. We even used this place for our rehearsal dinner (we ordered 120 tenders and picked them up). I can't believe they don't have a higher rating. You won't be disappointed! read more

We were visiting the area and needed something quick for lunch that was close to our hotel. Slim Chickens fit the bill. Order at the counter, have a seat and food will be brought to the table. It kind of has a Zaxby's vibe to it. Everyone was super friendly! All staff were wearing masks and gloves and were actively cleaning tables in the dining room. Seating is down to 50%, so tables were spaced out nicely. It does appear to get busy during the lunch hour. Shortly after we arrived, the line was back up through the door and the drive through was backed up into the street. The food was really good! We all had tenders and they were crispy and tasty! Kid asked if we could buy extras to have to eat later. I'm a sucker for some good fried chicken, and Slim Chickens has some good fried chicken. read more

Such a great experience!!! The food was delicious! We were greeted and thanked. We were so impressed!! Will definitely be back!!!!

I love the cayenne chicken sandwich which I always get when I Murfreesboro. Service has always been a little slow but that's ok til today. I went in for carry out order. After waiting for about 15 minutes ask about order as people behind me was being served. Guy behind counter had placed my order on table behind counter. By the time I got it was cold & greasy. Look alert instead of goofing with other staff!!! read more

We stopped by Slim Chickens on our way out of town and I got the slim meal- I think it was 5/6 chicken tenders, fries and two slices of toast. The fries weren't anything to brag about but while hot they were good enough. I only ate a handful before being done with them. The chicken tenders were amazing! Nice and hot, well seasoned and juicy. Fast food chicken tenders can sometimes be dry and over battered with the chicken crust but theirs wasn't. You get two dipping sauces with your order and I got the Buffalo which I enjoyed so much. It was hot but mild enough to where a young child can enjoy it too if you're with the family and have a little one that enjoys a tad of spice. read more

This place is always busy. But they are quick and try their best to give you extremely fresh hot food. Their chicken tenders with honey mustard is the best. I always add fried pickles and throw them in the air fryer to get it more crispy for my liking. read more

These chicken tenders they serve now are so small and skimpy, they used to be so good and decent size. I also ordered extra specific sauces to try them and they didn't even add them to the order. I miss how good they used to be when they first opened read more

This place was okay. Not really a place I'd say, "hey, let's go eat there!". Nor a place I feel the need to return to. I got the chicken and waffles. It was okay. Nothing special. The waffles were....waffles. You can't really fuck up waffles unless you're super gifted at fucking them up. The waffles had nothing special to them. The taste of the chicken was decent, but they were the smallest chicken tenders I'd ever seen in my life. Did they name this place Slim Chickens because you're literally getting tiny chicken tenders? BIGGER CHICKENS, PLEASE! Chris got the same tiny chicken tenders with macaroni. I tried his macaroni and it was okay. Could've used more flavor. As I said, this place is okay. There are a million other places to go for better food, however. read more

This spot is neck and neck with Zaxby's. The sauces are better and the chicken portions are huge! Trust me get the slims meal. And go ahead and upgrade to a large drink for just 50 cents more! Average chicken tenders. Guess for a college crowd it's ok. They were very busy and drive through moved well. Sweet tea not very sweet but that may be a local thing. We like it super sweet in Alabama read more

When this place originally opened I gave it a lackluster review based on speed of service and food taste. However I am returning to update my review based on more recent experiences here. In my subsequent visits the food has been delicious and the service was very good. I feel like I can now update my review to recommend Slim Chickens. It is quickly becoming a go-to on a lazy Sunday when I'm needing some good fried chicken read more

This was a hidden gem I discovered out in Murfressboro. The name doesn't completely do justice to the food they serve. From the fries to the Chicken strips they have everything a chicken place should. I recommend that everyone try the chicken sandwich at least once and you won't regret it. read more

Pricey and underwhelming... drive thru staff seemed like they hated life and were super miserable.

So I'm a die-hard Zaxby's purist when it comes to places like this, but, in all honesty, if Zaxby's went bankrupt and only Slim Chicken was available, I wouldn't be too mad about it. This place went well above my expectations! Not at Zax level for me but pretty dang close! I'll hit on a few things here: 1) Customer service - this was beyond phenomenal. I was constantly checked on, the people were friendly with a smile on their face. Everyone from the cashier to the people in the back greeted me warmly when I came in. This is exactly how a Southern-based fast food chain should be. 2) Prices and menu options - good variety of chicken options! Kinda what you'd expect as far as tenders, wings, sandwiches, salads with multiple side items. I had the fries but was impressed at the option of fried okra. The prices looked a little steeper than I expected, but I got a huge amount of QUALITY food for the price. 3) Food and drink - I'll start with drinks first since that's shorter. Good options but standard Come machines. Don't expect Freestyle ones but I didn't really care either way. House made lemonades and teas were good but I'd say just a bit too much sugar for me. Really like the tanginess of the lemonade and the option for flavored teas (peach and raspberry). Not to mention, the place should just get at least 4 stars for having crushed ice. Now for the food!! SO FRESH AND HOT AND DELICIOUS!! I got the 3&3 (3 tenders and 3 wings) with Hot wings. The spice wasn't there for being Hot but the flavor was superb and the wings cooked perfectly. Their house made ranch was a perfect complement. I'd probably go one level up for spice if you're looking for a little bit of sweating or runny nose with your wings. The tenders were fantastic as well. Super hot and fresh without being too encased in breading or grease. Really nice flavor on its own. Fries were fresh and crispy and plentiful but wayyyy too much salt. The toast wasn't your usual thick Texas toast, but had the flavor and was a solid, lighter version. Their signature Slim sauce was where they fell short for me. It was too sweet and had so little tang to it. The flavor seemed kind of light and at times I was struggling to get a full idea of the taste if that makes any sense. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place for any lovers of a good basket of chicken and southern sides. Good prices for great quantity and quality with good old Southern hospitality to really make a fantastic eating experience. I give 4/5 for the food as a few of my personal nitpicky details I mentioned above were a little off for me, but their service, cleanliness, and the atmosphere really puts this place over the top for me and forces me to give them 5/5 overall! read more

It was dark and raining hard; I had just pulled off the highway on my second long day of my cross country trip. I needed a good dinner to take to my hotel room before sleep. This chicken was disgusting, tasting like flour, chemicals and salt, Highly disappointed, I threw it away. Even my cat agreed. Place was nice though, bright, clean and efficient. Too bad about the food. read more

First time at Slim Chickens, didn't know what to expect but enjoyed a excellent meal, in a clean environment with a friendly and helpful staff. Was warmly welcome when we came in the restaurant. The menu board is easy to read and understand. Slim Chickens offers a various buffet of sauces. Our party ordered wings and tenders. The size portions were generous and our food arrived within 15 minutes. The order was correct and hot. I ordered the wings naked with sauces on the side- they had a great taste. The tenders were delicious as well and the accompanying fries were plenteous. The drinks are serve yourself which allows the opportunity to get a drink to go also.
