Didn't even know this place existed. I've been craving chicken salad for a long time and I drove past this place and needed to try. It's a cool little spot with a lot of options. I got something that had three peppers on the sticker. Kickin' Kay was really good. I didn't think it was spicy at all but had a nice kick. I put it on toast when I got home it was amazing. I was looking forward to eating here today, but that quickly faded as I bit into my sandwich and felt a silicone, rubbery type substance. Upon looking further, it definitely was not a part of a chicken or anything edible. It was a pure piece of silicone or rubber, maybe from packaging or something I'm not sure honestly. I also received a soup and it was so cold I had to heat it up in the microwave when I got home. Very disappointed considering I've always loved this place. They are stingy with crackers. On several occasions, I've ordered this trio and ask for extra crackers, telling the cashier I'm willing to pay for them. When I get my order, the extra crackers are never there. I have to ask again and hardly ever get enough for a trio of chicken salad. I opened the box and saw 5 packs of crackers, which really is about what one scoop would use. I told the lady I asked for extra crackers and again said I'd pay for them. She rudely said, "they're in the box... [sees look on my face] but I can get you some more." She gave me 3 more packs . It is beyond infuriating. I pay for 3 scoops of chicken salad and expected to eat them all with 5 packs of crackers??? Again, I'll pay for the crackers, just give me a sufficient amount in proportion to the chicken salad. Food is good, but the man at the register was sweating profusely and rubbing his hands all over his forehead and face wiping off sweat. He wasn't handling the food at that moment, but he was rubbing his hands up and down the stack of cups while working the register. He was politely offering people a drink while they waited, but when he did, he would pull the cups apart by inserting his sweaty hand inside. When no one wanted a drink (I'm sure because of how it was presented to all of us), he put them back into the stack. Really gross. Okay, definitely a chick place. Which isn't bad in any sense of the phrase. Decor is on point, as is the limited menu - basically different types of chicken salad, either as a scoop on a leaf of lettuce or as as sandwich. Plus a side and a very yummy cookie. G had the basic chicken salad scoop and I had the cranberry and almond slivers. We both had the broccoli salad. As I ate my cranberry salad, it grew on me. (Costco's cranberry chicken salad is probably overall better but the portion is smaller). G really liked her plain chicken salad - which was surprisingly good and didn't need anything to make it better. We both liked the broccoli salad. Lots of bacon and cheese too, though I wish it had sunflower seeds (like G's) but again, it was really good. And then the cookie. Who doesn't like sugar cookies with tasty frosting? Did I mention it was yummy? Well, it capped a great meal. Other things I liked - fresh brewed tea and tablecloths set this place a part. There is a small outdoor seating area, so it probably would be okay to bring your dog. Overall good experience, so long as you like chicken salad. I like tuna salad, chicken salad and pretty much all salads so I was looking forward to my visit today. A neat and tidy entranceway greets you as you walk up to the counter. I had to spend a few moments looking over the menu because there was a lot more to it than chicken salad in different sizes. The Sassy Scotty had bacon so it was a no-brainer for me. I chose Mac N Cheese for my side and was easily talked into adding another side for an additional $2. The Loaded Potato Soup was a great choice that had....bacon! My lunch came with enough crackers to accompany the soup and salad and a small cookie for dessert. I left full and satisfied and will gladly visit again! read more

First time trying Chicken Salad Chick and I will be back! Craving it as I speak! Went there with my husband and he ordered the traditional Chicken salad sandwich combo and I ordered the turkey club on a croissant roll. Thought I would mix it up and try something else than what their specialty is. The service was very courteous, the young was really polite and helpful as I had an issue running my debit card in the machine. Got our food and wow! OMG, delicious! As you can see from the photos, everything was fresh and large portions. There is even a little cookie with the combo meals. Loved it! Thinking of doing a catering order for a bridal shower soon. I was very impressed with the atmosphere and how clean the restaurant is kept. A lot of choices for types of chicken salad, who know there were so many options? The food prices were a bit too high but than again, whose isn't these days. My husband said his sandwich was awesome, just the right ratio of dressing to chicken. I loved the side of pasta salad, so good!! The Mac n Cheese was to die for as well! Loved it so much tried the new location in Smyrna and equally impressed. Pretty good place to eat with just a couple of picky things to comment on. 1) I like my chicken just a little more coarse. The chain chops the chicken very fine, almost pate. It's still every good, don't misunderstand. 2) I got my bread toasted and it was browned but still soft. Not sure how this was accomplished still, very good, just preference. I got the Jalapeño Holly. Nice and spicy but not over the top hot. The broccoli salad is fantastic. My son got the Mac and cheese and it was warm and creamy and really good. The variety is enough to keep going back as the food is fresh and good. The staff was very friendly and helpful at the Murfreesboro location. Oh, the cookies are creamy and soft. Tonight we ventured out and wanted something kind of light, so I recommended that we finally try Chicken Salad Chick. I will just say it was alright, but not excellent! We tried a number of their top recommendations and ehh...nothing special, unless you don't know how to cook anything...or even prepare a fairly bland sandwich. I don't mean to be harsh, I know many people love this place. But in reality, Panera, Jason's Deli, Firehouse subs, and many other sandwich shops have better tasting product. I'm going to go so far as to say that until I tried a small sample of their food, I had NEVER cared for chicken salad previously. Well, CSC, thanks for coming to Middle Tennessee! I've sampled almost all their flavors at this point, but I must admit my favorites: 1. The Jalapeno 2. The Buffalo 3. The Lemon Basil 4. The Classic (Original) I can taste the quality of the ingredients, the care and precision in which each batch is made, and only wish there was one closer to Mount Juliet! As far as the restaurant goes, it is very nice, clean, decorated in a wonderful shade of welcoming green, and very well designed. The waitstaff is extremely friendly and make your selection process smooth. There are many choices, so your time in line waiting to order might take a couple minutes, but the result is very much worth it. Their sandwiches are superb, the sides delicious, and it couldn't taste any better. The pricing is excellent for a meal also... can't beat $7.99! For those complaining about wanting "chunk" chicken, I'd suggest eating chicken salad from home. Personally, I LOVE the consistency and texture of the pulled chicken. I love the signs in the men's room (see pictures). Definitely some wisdom worth noting there. I visited this location today - upon leaving with a take out order, we realized that we were missing an item - not a big deal as this happens. We went to the counter and mentioned it. While looking into the missing order, another customer walked by with an open food container and mentioned receiving the wrong order. The worker and what looked like a manager looked at the picked-through order, closed the container, put it in my bag, and handed it to me. GROSS. When I mentioned this, the manager blamed the new employee. If they are this unhygienic in front of customers, picture what passes in the kitchen. My husband and I both love this place! (And he walks in with pride!) Yes, the atmosphere is aimed toward women's luncheons, but don't let that stop you from bringing your husband, boyfriend, or male best friend. The chicken salad is good. So fun to try all the different flavors. My favorite is Fruity Fran. I definitely recommend getting it on a croissant with lettuce and tomato. "Make it a trio" by getting potato soup and broccoli salad. (I also really enjoy their grape salad.) It also comes with a pickle spear and a delicious sugar cookie! Been here twice and the food is excellent. All of the salads I have tried have good flavor and are not overpowering. I had hoped that after being open for as long as they have that they would be a little more organized but they seem to be confused as to who's order is in the window to be delivered to tables but that being said I have always gotten what is ordered. It just looks like they are confused. My only other complaint would be that my toasted sandwich wasn't warm. Again it tasted great but I was hoping for hot toasted crispy bread with my Kickin' Kay Lynne chicken salad inside. Instead I got everything I hoped for but the hot crispy bread. I'll come back because the food is good and at a reasonable price and hopefully they will improve. This place is a unique restaurant and I'm sure they will do well. I'll probably go back just to try some different chicken salad flavors. The only reason i didn't give five stars is because i feel like their wasn't enough seating, parking, and drinks aren't included in the meals so you have to pay extra for that. Went to Chicken Salad Chick with my daughter and granddaughters for lunch. The Dill-icious Diva that has dill and chopped cucumber...is delicious. For the first time I had the sandwich on their Wheat-berry bread versus the Croissant...excellent. Daughter went with her standard...Pimento Cheese sandwich which is really a good, mild pimento cheese. Of course...the grandchildren loved their kids meals and the slice of blueberry cheesecake!!! Chicken Salad Chick came on to me... So I had a great experience at this CSC location and left a glowing review. I went back and had a horrible experience and changed my review to reflect it. I went back again and found a dangerous bone in my chicken salad. I was contacted by someone from CSC and was told that they would make up the experience to me. He then texted me something along those lines. Later that night, I get a text from the guy saying that he couldn't wait to "Meet" me. He went on to explain how excited he was to "See" me. I responded that I was excited too. His next text was a little more personal and I responded that he should check the number he's texting. The next text was an apology. Decided to stop in for the first time today and order a carry out order to eat on my way back home to Mount Juliet after some appointments in the Boro. I happened to see this place on Google maps and looked at the website and thought it sounded good, why not?!? I ended up ordering the Fruity Fran on toasted white bread with lettuce, tomato and mayo (the mayo comes on the side in a packet), Lays baked potato chips and a large drink, which you get yourself, I opted for sweet tea. Let me tell you...this chicken salad IS THE BEST chicken salad I have ever had! Hands down!! The Fruity Fran has bits of Fuji apples, whole seedless grapes and bits of pineapple in it and OH MY GOODNESS combined with the crunch of the lettuce and the tomato, it was heavenly! I wish now I would've gotten a container of it to bring home for tomorrow's lunch! And the sweet tea is fresh brewed! Not too sweet, perfect, just the way I like it! If you love chicken salad, and don't have a nut allergy, you will probably love this place. Another plus is it seems to be more gluten-free friendly than most similar establishments. I am not a chicken salad aficionado, so I cannot lend much expertise in the department. It's good as far as I'm concerned. However, the pasta salad side is rather bland, in my opinion. Recently I ordered their turkey pesto sandwich on a croissant, and opted to have it heated. I selected a bag of chips as my side. The turkey sandwich arrived cold, the meat reminded me of a lunchable, and the pesto mayo was non existent. A member of their staff apologized and immediately took it back to hear for me. When it came back, it was maaaayyyyybe lukewarm at absolute best. For over $12.00, I was incredibly underwhelmed with my food. I recall feeling this before, so I don't make any plans to go back.
