Decided to give hangry Joe's a try one night and ordered it from uber eats. We got chicken fingers which come with three tenders. Those were in angry hot. On uber eats, it said a waiver was required for that level. Obviously you can't sign a waiver on uber eats but maybe they make you do it in the actual restaurant. I'm not sure. Then we also got waffle fries and the messy sando. Everything tasted good. The messy sando was indeed very messy and huge. We didn't realize their hot chicken is a dry rub/heat. It was a dark and stormy night, no really. Hurricane Helene was bearing down on the coast and had wanted to try Hangry Joe's. It's a convenient location for me. Other than a sticky floor the dining room was clean and comfortable. I ordered carry-out, nuggets, medium, and fries. The order was taken by a very friendly and helpful server. Finally got the chance to try this place. We got in, and I just chose to put my order in myself. Im sure you can go up to the counter and place an order if you'd like. I tried their wings on just breaded without spice since I was curious on the flavor. I felt it had a pretty good seasoning going on. It was very well seasoned. The wings were cooked perfectly. It wasn't over fried or anything like that. I also tried their chicken nuggets. I got that on a medium spice level. I thought it was pretty spicy. I would watch the spice level here. This is the slowest service I've ever had in my life at any restaurant several people walking around, looking like they didn't even know what they were doing. I stood there over 18 minutes for nothing more than a simple chicken sandwich and they couldn't produce it. Surprisingly good, the food came out very quickly, decent price for how expensive food is these days, got the massive sando meal combo, and a additional side of mac and cheese for $17. The place was clean and you use self-servicesomeone's kiosks which is nice as you can browse without having to worry about taking up someones time. The chicken sandwich itself was massive its about the size of two chicken breasts and it was hot (temperature) which was nice, I got medium spice which had a nice pleasant kick to it, the fries were seasoned with a spice mixture and we all agreed that they were delicious fries, the mac and cheese was just your average restaurant mac and cheese it was lukewarm which probably didnt help but was still able to enjoy it. I also tried someone else's fried okra which was good as well, they got the wings which they said were good and it came with lots of sauces. Other person got chicken tenders which were decent in size and they said they were also good.
