Despite some negative reviews I gave them a shot and they came through. Friendly, fast, fresh and tasty. The tenders are on the small side but were hot fresh and not overly breaded. The sauce choices are extensive and I loved the moderately hot mango habanero and the cool ranch with a hint of dill. Had the 3x3 with wings and tenders. The wings were very good, meaty, nice zip on the buffalo sauce. The fried pickles were not greasy at all and were very good especially with the ranch dip. Loved finishing the meal off with the mason jar strawberry cheesecake. It's a little pricy but you get to keep the jar which is very cool. The tables were nicely spaced so you aren't on top of each other and the outdoor space is great. read more

Very impressive chicken and waffles. The waffle is one of the best I've had and I'm very picky. The slim chicken sauce was pretty good too. The simplicity of this place is what I enjoyed the most. Prices are good for the amount of food you get. One of our wings was undercooked but everything else was as it should be. I will definitely be back to have the chicken and waffles. Mac n cheese was also delicious and creamy. read more

First time at Slims, and I'm pretty impressed. The service is fine, everyone polite, and the Cajun ranch chicken sandwich the cashier recommended is one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever eaten! Great recommendation, thanks! The fries aren't the greatest, kinda cold, but the sandwich totally makes up for it. I'm here at 4, so it's not packed and the Packers game is on, so I'm enjoying the atmosphere lol. Excellent sweet tea as well! I recommend it, the sandwich is better tasting than Zaxbys or Chik-fil-a. Try it, you will like it. I'll be coming back, 100% read more

Hit or miss with fried pickles, either too salty or too soggy.. Majority of the time. Lost a customer

Great selection of sauce flavors and heat levels. Priced right for the amount of food, I had the 5&5 with the wings being inferno...absolutely delicious. Highly recommended. read more

Here's the thing, the food was really good. There just wasn't a lot of it. I was surprised how little chicken came with the $7 meal. I've been to Zaxby's and other chicken finger places for years, I love the chicken finger - but my good goodness was I shocked by how little food came for the price. I don't care how many chicken fingers you advertise with your meal, if the sum total of the order doesn't compare to the size and quantity of other places, no matter how good it may have been, it doesn't in the end justify the price. I might be back, but only if I hear that portion sizes have increased. Too bad, I was looking forward to this place opening. read more

I think the food is great and I really like their slim sauce. Can't wait to try some of their other foods. I like that they have a great variety of sauce options. read more

Food was good, chicken and waffles were pretty good, I think I'd return. It isn't the best food, but it seems to be good and okay for the price. read more

Finally tried this place and am not impressed. The drive thru took way too long the menu is basic wannabe chic-fil-a rip off. Fries were some of the worst I've ever had and they got my drink order wrong. I actually signed up for yelp just because of them. Thumbs down read more

The peach tea is the best I've ever had! This is my favorite restaurant to visit anytime! They give you your money's worth of food here and you will not be disappointed. The fried chocolate pie was so good it will be an addiction. Great job to the staff and quick and friendly service, I hope they build a restaurant on memorial. read more

Maybe because I was spoiled on Zaxby's first I think Slim Chickens is a cheap knock-off of Zaxby's. Their sauce seems watered-down and bland. (I tried several sauces.) The food isn't bad and the service is good. I would eat here again but I still like Zaxby's more. read more

Love Slims! Our favorite chicken place in the Boro. Chicken is hot and fresh. We love to try out the different sauces. Their salads are also fresh and a huge portion. We usually also fight over the toast. read more

SLIM Chickens is right! Everything about this place is SLIM! Went in for my first visit today and ordered the 5 tender plate. Should be called the "Slender Plate"! Plate comes out and I'm like. . . "Uh, is this the kids plate!?" Where y'all get these Chickens from? These must be the leftover baby chicks everybody bought their kids on Easter! Aint no way this is a full size chicken! I've picked bigger pieces of chicken out of my teeth! I'm looking at the picture on the wall of the same plate I ordered and aint no way this is what ya'll brought me! Where's Ashton! I'm being Punk'd! Then I bite into one and I'm all, "Did I have to order flavor separately? I was unaware that flavor was an add-on! Ya'll rolled these little bitty chicken "slenders" in drywall dust didn't ya!?" Then I'm all, "Oh, this is a side of fries! Sign says the fries are hand-cut! More like hand-counted! Ya'll in the back like, " One, two, three. . . whoa! That's enough fries!" I hope ya'll donated the other 2/3 of my order of fries to some kids in Ethiopia or something! That's the ONLY way I feel good about this! Can a dude get some FRIES! Anyway, I paid $17.00 for some food (2 plate combos) that wouldn't have even equaled the 7 tender meal down the street at Deezies! I'm serious people! Finished this measly meal and went down the street to Deezies Hot Chicken! That's the place to go! Don't even bother with Slim Pickens Chicken Slenders! read more

I'm impressed, especially for a drive through. You MUST get the Fried pickles! Way better than Toots, etc! Good prices, and includes a drink, bonus! The sauces are made in house too, so that makes me happy! read more

I was really hungry and decided to try Slim's Chicken for the first time. I went through the drive thur and it was fairly quick. The chicken was horrible even for a hungry person. It was either over cooked or pre cooked then put back in the fryer to make hot again. There was no flavor except for the sauce that is good. The chicken was way over priced for the quality and taste. Church's Chicken taste like gourmet compared to Slims. The staff was friendly and receptive to our request. read more

We recently moved to Murfreesboro and even more recently got a dog! Slim Chicken's is one of the few restaurants we've found in town that are dog-friendly on their outdoor patio. They even gave us a water bowl and some free milk bone treats for the pup! As for the food, we had the mango habanero chicken wings with fried okra and macaroni and toast, and every single thing was FANTASTIC! We will definitely be going again!! read more

I can't really rate the food. I've been sitting in the drive thru for fifteen minutes and we've only moved one car length. Unless it's the best food I've ever eaten, bat none, it's not going to be worth the wait. This is a huge disappointment after hearing rave reviews from coworkers read more

A slightly cheaper, much worse version of Zaxby's. Trendy interior, but the staff seemed pretty poorly trained for a new store opening. As a fan of clever/hipstery restaurant names, I am very disappointed. read more

So I just left there for the first time and I just got the 3 chicken tenders and fries and their signature sauce. let's just save good thing I like the sauce. Yes the tenders were a little small but I think we are all used to the "big Mac meals" but if we're going to rate this place on food the tenders alone I had zero flavor. The fries were good but I feel like you can't do a fry wrong so I probably won't ever go back read more

I don't understand the low reviews. The chicken is incredibly fresh. The meals are styled kind of similar to zaxbys. The service is very friendly. read more

The food was decent, but we waited for over 30 minutes for our food. The kitchen apparently somehow lost our order. Not much seating space, either. read more

The service is great and very fast. The food is excellent haven't had anything that doesn't taste amazing. Love the way they season the chicken and the wraps are great. My only complaint is that my favorite meal there is the chicken and waffles and even though it is amazing I feel that for the price they give very little chicken. In other places when you order this meal you get a huge waffle with 3 or 4 huge chicken strips. Here you get a huge waffle with 3 tiny strips that look like they should be in a kids meal yet they charge about the same as most places do for this meal. The chicken to waffle ratio is not ideal maybe that's why it's called slim chicken lol. Aside from that though the food and service are great! read more

This place is really good! I got the Hungry Plate which is 5 tenders, fries and Texas toast. I also tried the mac n cheese and potato salad. I ate every last bit. The food is prepared fresh when you order it so it can a little extra time. Its worth the wait though. I'll def be back! read more

The food was amazing!!! I got a 5&5 deal(5 wings and 5 tenders) with Red Chili Pepper sauce on the wings. When we walked in, the atmosphere was pleasant and very welcoming especially for people that were first time visitors. The FOH manager( I wanna say Matthew) was amazing and took care of us and gave amazing recommendations on sauces! We left with happy bellies and warm hearts. Also, the fried mushrooms and fried pickles are definitely worth the extra price. Going to make Slim Chickens our go to place since we just moved up here from BR, La and we don't have Cane's anywhere around us. read more

Had to reread my order, I thought perhaps I had accidentally ordered chicken nuggets. Overall not impressed.

So I tried it. I know, I know, I should've gone to Deezie's, but I had the dog with me and didn't want him to have to wait in the truck. The chicken is fried chicken, kinda hard to screw it up. The taste is bland but the sauce makes it tolerable. Here's where I'm concerned, and the sole reason for this review and why I'll never go back: they have a "rolling 90 days goal" board with different objectives (customer satisfaction, speed of service, getting the correct order, etc) of the business with an actual and a target percentage goal. Their "cleanliness" target goal was 80%. 80. That's probably an average of a restaurant, but growing up around the business like I did means your target is 100%. Always. ALWAYS. Oh, and their "actual" percentage was 77%.....so, there's that. read more

Priced a little too high. Love the homemade dressings and appetizers. Wings were not too tastly.

Slim Chickens is the next B I G thing! Your food is made fresh to order and they have endless options.. wings, chicken tender plates, salads, wraps, etc. Their Slims Plate is my absolute favorite.. don't forget the cayenne ranch and slims sauce. Give them a try! read more
