Cherry pie moonshine
Lucia L.

It's always nice discovered local distilleries in Reno/Tahoe, and Slieve is no exception! Came here with my boyfriend for a corporate Christmas event, and was pleasantly surprised to discover that they brew their own small batches of beer, seltzer and moonshine that they serve at their bar. We tried all four seasonal flavors of their moonshine cocktails (each priced at only $12.99) - peach, cherry, apple, and pumpkin pie, and were pleasantly surprised at how smooth and tasty they were (albeit very dangerous since they're also strong). Service at the bar was very attentive, friendly and fast despite how busy the event was, and this will definitely be a spot I'll come back and explore during normal hours!

We came here for our friendsgiving. Nice brewery with good beers. Everyone is very friendly. Plenty of room, darts, and games to play. We played sweet potato races and bingo with brewery prizes to be had. Nice location with plenty of parking.

Great Reno Brewery!! Small batch craft beers made very well by homebrewer gone pro! Always something new on the menu and always good. Moonshine, seltzers and full bar as well. Watch their social for what is going on, beer making classes, summer music and food trucks. A must try when in the Brewery District!!

Amazing event venue and party space! We were looking for a last minute venue for my company Christmas party and Slieve knocked it out of the park! For $500 we got the space all to ourselves for four hours with two bartenders who were extremely helpful and friendly. When I arrived early to set up the owner offered to help me set up and move stuff inside. The space was clean and the beer was delicious! They allow you to bring in your own food so we catered from Casale's Halfway club which is just up the street. We will definitely be booking more events here moving forward!

So you know about wine pairings. Chardonnay with fish or chicken or Merlot with a rare steak. Well, how about a brewery with a food truck? Oh yea, Slieve has done it for you. Talk about a great set up this is it. A big space with room for your group. Lots of Slieve brews and a few national or regional beers too. You can bring in food or visit the truck right outside. Check the event calendar on their website for updated info.

Fun place to have a party! No frills but plenty of games to play and an area to set up your own food. We had a taco bar and there was room to plug in crock pots on a bar with stools on the other side for seating. Since this is a brewery plan to drink beer. They have a great list of beers and I chose their signature light beer which I really enjoyed. Normally I prefer wine but as they only served it in a couple cans I passed on that! My friends got a nice beer flight that you choose which ones you get, I would get that next time to try their other options. There is additional seating by the bar area so we were able to spread out. Fun night here!

A real small batch craft brewery. The multiple beer vats are almost as tall as I am! A true small scale brewery with Big beer selections and taste. Beer styles change out on a weekly basis. Easy parking. TV's to watch sports. Lots of board games. Ciders, wine, seltzers and other drinks also available. Package snacks like peanuts and chips available for purchase. No hot food. Friendly place.

Slieve (an Irish word for mountain) Brewing is a cool local joint on the edge of Brewery District. We visited during the week between Christmas and New Years around 3pm and it was rather empty. There were a few beers on tap available, some bottled hard ciders, wine, soda/sparkling water, and snacks like chips. I ordered the Bunny Hill Blonde, a light and refreshing ale. My friends ordered the Tuckered Out Stout, and the Abominable Milk Stout, a chocolatey stout. All the drinks we had were definitely tasty and not too heavy or hoppy. You could definitely have a few without being too full! There were also a few bar games on the other side including cornhole, the ring hook game, and darts. While the selection is a bit limited it is a family friendly place that's very spacious and has lots of fun bar type games to play.

This recently opened brewery will be a great local hangout! Large and open, built in an old firehouse with roll up doors that will be perfect for summer, and some outdoor seating. They have about 7 beers on tap and more will be rolling out soon. Loved the Imperial Red IPA, but at 9.2, enjoyed a short glass. Lol! They recently had a Mardi Gras party and will be having a St. Patrick's Day event with a live band. We tried 4 of the beers on tap and enjoyed a corn hole game in the large back room. They also have darts available. The owners are super nice and friendly, we will definitely be back!

The owners are very nice and the brewery has some games. The beers: Big Mike's Baltic Porter (very good) Abominable milk stout (great) Mountain Pale Ale (very good) O-so-Sullivan Irish extra stout (good) Durney's Irish Stout (very good) The Drunkle Dunkel Weisse (great)

We just moved back to Reno and had to stop in to the only brewery in town we haven't been to yet and we had a great experience! This local small batch craft brewery was exactly what we love about breweries - good people, good beer, good atmosphere and lots of games to play! When we walked in we walked past a table of board games. We went up to the bar and ordered the Gemini Belgian Dubbel and the Resolution IPA. We loved both of our beers! We then sat down and played some of the board games while we enjoyed our beers. It wasn't until we were heading out, with a quick run to the bathroom, that we saw on the way to the restrooms they also have corn hole and hook and ring (or ringing the bull). We will absolutely be back and will be bringing some friends with us next time too! We're excited to see what other beers they brew next.

Truly enjoyed the personal touch that Slieve provides. They know their customers, provide amazing brews and other beverages of your choice. The inside provides a "We gather here feel" where you could sit at the bar, indoor:outdoor tables and some games to player for some healthy competition. The family spirit is definitely seen and felt.

The menu has changed a bit since the last time I was here, but overall everything we tried was good. The tacos were on special that day--very good street tacos, in fact. Next time, I'd probably just order those again. We also ordered the fried pickles, which we remembered really enjoying on a previous visit. This time they were served as spears, whereas I believe before they were sliced rounds, and they seemed a little better that way. The salad was pretty good as well, though the dressing had a bit of a kick that was slightly overpowering. A touch of honey in the dressing might have balanced it out nicely. For beer, I went with the Moon Dunes Hazy IPA. It was decent, but it didn't quite stand out compared to other New England-style hazies I've had. Overall, I still think this is a solid spot for good beer and food. My only real disappointment was that the bread pudding wasn't on the menu this time--I remember that being a standout before. We didn't realize it when we ordered the pickles, but by having the passport stamped, they were complimentary.

It's hard to believe that I'd never had wings before so this seemed a good place to start. We ordered a 6 piece wings order to share and a burger and fries for ourselves. We really liked the wings a lot ( I had nothing to compare to :) I lied how they served the wings with carrots too. I would say the burger was ok and the firs were the same and they served everything together which was a bit annoying since I thought the wings would come out first as a appetizer. I also felt it was a bit pricey but not bad.

I don't think a place of business should be sending out texts encouraging people to purchase a specific product that is not currently offered and that's exactly what Revision did. What a waste of peoples' time. Unsubscribed in disappointment and frustration. Social media director, take note! Another complaint is that they have now become "family friendly". I do not want to go to a brewery for adult beverages and end up having to listen to children screaming and running about. They are also no longer allowing outside food to be brought in because they have on site food, serving pizza and hot dogs. We tried a pizza on our last visit, $21 for a large 3 meat which is big enough for 2 adults. Pizza was meh, 3 stars, definitely could have used more toppings. We were thankful it did come out fresh. On a positive note, if you like what seems to be an abundance of IPA style beers they have you covered! They did have some enjoyable, yet expensive stouts on tap along with a couple other non IPA styles.

The Burger was most excellent in size, taste and freshness , and the onion rings were quite excellent in number provided as well as taste. My wife went with the Carnitas tacos, which I had one of, and while the rice and beans on side were tasty and fresh, the Tacos were a disappointment as the meat and shell, while plentiful, was on the dry side to the point that even the tasty salsa wasnt enough to bring the level up. The ambiance is very lively, the service is on point, only the Tacos keep me from giving this a 5 star.

That was actually a good thing because they were a good compliment to eat all together. It was more than enough food for 2 people and everything was delicious. The stuffed Avocado salad was interesting and it was delicious. The fish and chips were good, the fish was more of a tender which was actually nice because it wasn't greasy. Not sure I would order it again because there are so many other good options on the menu, but it was good. The artichoke and Crab skillet was excellent as well. We both left satisfied and impressed by the overall quality and service, already planning to go back again when the patio opens because they will let you have dogs which is always a big bonus!

Not a big quibble. The food was just OK. My husband ordered the steak and fries, I ordered the Lobster Roll with fries. I will say, the fries were the best part of the meal for both of us. The Lobster Roll was ok, but there was very little similarity to the New England style with actual large hunks of lobster with minimal mayo. The bun was good, the filling had the consistency of a tuna sandwich. I also had lunch here recently with a friend. Again, the food was just OK. Not bad, but nothing outstanding.
