We went here for lunch. It was busy but it didn't take us long to get a seat. They have their pizza is displayed. And I saw this pizza that looks really yummy. It was almost like a pan pizza. Good pizza, deep dish is also good. I recommend getting a whole fresh made pizza instead of ordering pre made slices. The selection of pre made pizza slices is great but a fresh pizza always tastes better right out of the oven as opposed to a pre made that has been sitting in the window for more than 15 minutes. The pizza at Slice was great! Our family ate here three times during our week of exploring OBX. Our kids love pizza and this was a hit with everyone. Perfect vacation pizza spot. We ordered tonight based off the the reviews and have to say, we were all very disappointed with the pizza. The quantity of toppings they put on was impressive. Large chunks of green pepper and onion. Which is great. The sausage was uh - not sure what it was. It wasn't spicy enough to be Italian sausage but could tell it was sliced sausage of some sort from it's size. What little sauce we found on the pie was virtually flavorless. In fact, Even my kids, who pretty much count pizza as one of the food groups asked what was wrong with it. It was so bad, I'm actually suspicious of the other reviews! read more

We were told by several locals that Slice Pizzeria had the best pizza on the island. Though we didn't try any of the other pizza places and have nothing in which to compare, our party of 9 honestly did enjoy the pizza at Slice. We ordered a Pepperoni, a half Cheese/half Sausage, and a Margherita. The crust was great and all three pies came out perfectly cooked. For my personal preference, the Margherita was a little heavy with tomatoes but my dining companions seemed to enjoy it. My only constructive feedback would be they need more indoor dining space. All-in-all, we felt as though our dining experience was money well-spent and would return here during a future visit. read more

Very much enjoyed the margherita pizza slices that I had there, and the grape Fanta (having good drinks is the sign of a quality establishment). Marked down to 4 stars because it is so very small, and because one of the wait-staff was a little slow on the up-take and seemed confused by me wanting to sit at their counter and have two slices of pizza. Is it real NY style? Eh, who cares? I imagine people say it is because it has pre-made pizzas sitting there that they rewarm for you on request. But the crust didn't seem NY-ish to this Pittsburgher. It was my boyfriend and I's first restaurant we ate at on our first trip to the Outer Banks. Everyone there was super nice and friendly! We tried the deep dish pizza since we had never had Chicago style pizza before! It was AMAZING!! Best pizza we have ever had HANDS DOWN! Prices are fairly reasonable and they use nothing but fresh ingredients. The atmosphere is quite unique, though it is a little squished when it's packed. Solid pizza (we are from the northeast where there are tons of great pizza options). We had the margarita pizza, a spinach roll, and a Greek salad. Margarita was very tasty with tomatoes, garlic, basil and fresh mozzarella. The spinach roll was filled with lots of spinach and yummy ricotta and mozzarella cheeses. Very good pizza. I am from Philadelphia, and the Philly to New York corridor has the best pizza in America. It just does. That being said, I have had my share of really good pizza. If this place was in Philly, it would be right up there in the top five or so of the 20 or so pizza places I have been to. It is that good. Those little garlic knots that others have talked about are good, and they are cheap so buy a few, but they aren't as good as others have noted. Being from the Warren/Youngstown, OH area, we know pizza. We've had a real issue with finding a good pizza spot for us while we're on vacation in the Outer Banks. We ordered from Slice for a pick-up, and got 3 great pizzas. But, here's where it gets great, the manager proceeded to call my father (from the phone number he left) and she let him know that she didn't get to check and make sure the pizzas were up to standard (before my sister picked them up), but if they weren't to have us call them back, and they'd deliver 2 brand new pizzas to us free of charge! We were so incredibly impressed with the business tactics. We got our pizzas and we felt everything was okay and to be honest, my dad wanted to call her back and let her know that "they are the only pizza that has any flavor on the Outer Banks". Phenomenal pizza and better customer service. My family was ordering Natural Gourmet pizzas all week and in love with them. I placed an order late in the week and was told to order a Margherita pizza mistakenly. When I arrived I realized we ordered the wrong pies. Just came back from the Outer Banks. I talked to a local about the best places to eat and Slice Pizza was one of them. I am from Staten Island, NY and know pizza. The pizza here is the closest you will ever get to NY pizza. I will come back here again. The place gets crowded during lunch, but they do have outside seating. They work fast. Food is fresh. Pizza is really good!! The Stromboli isn't as big as we hoped for...like some other favorite spots. Garlic Knots are usually good. Great service! So disappointed!! I first experienced Slice Pizzeria last summer when we dined in and would think back to it every time I ordered commercial pizza at home. My husband and I were thoroughly impressed so we were looking forward to relaxing at our beach home this year and ordering in. I'm not sure what went wrong, if perhaps carryout just isn't as good, but it was not good at all! My five year old, who has never met a pizza she didn't like, took two bites and declared it as "the most disgusting pizza ever" and I couldn't disagree. Last year, she put away two slices of the same pizza. This time, it was barely edible. The crust was super chewy, almost as if it had been sitting out all day. We stayed 2 minutes away and I arrived slightly before my quoted time so I'm not sure what went wrong. Their pizza was absolutely delicious last year so I can only say if you want to experience the deliciousness that so many rave about, DINE IN. DO NOT ORDER CARRYOUT!!! read more
