Was looking for a good seafood place and definitely didn't disappoint. Service was excellent, great food at a good price.

After trying a place down the street with a 1 1/2 hour wait, we ended up at Miller's Seafood and Steakhouse in Kill Devil Hills and could not have been happier! We were seated right away and the service from start to finish was absolutely wonderful -- friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Our daughter absolutely loved the popcorn shrimp, and the hush puppy basket was a huge hit at the table. They have a slightly sweet twist to them that made them completely delicious and impossible to stop eating! The mashed garlic red potatoes were the perfect accompaniment to the perfectly cooked filets we ordered. We even took dessert to go and wow -- the Reese's cheesecake and key lime pie were sooo good and absolutely yummy! The perfect ending to an amazing meal. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and comforting. This ended up being one of our favorite meals of the trip and we'll definitely be back next time we're in the Outer Banks! read more

After a terribly disappointing experience at "the other" Miller's -- Miller's Waterfront, our party of 6 decided to try "Miller's on the beach road" last night. WE'RE SO GLAD WE DID! Fantastic dining experience all around!! The wait was 45 minutes when we arrived, and our buzzer went off, and we were seated within 15 minutes. The menu was varied and reasonably priced (given the ridiculous costs restaurants are paying right now). Our server was the best server we have had in two weeks here -- SHOUTOUT TO WYATT! Food was delicious-- the Pamlico flounder was massive and (unlike their waterfront counterparts), there was an impressive choice of side items. Everyone we interacted with was pleasant and attentive. I almost didn't want to write this because I feel like Miller's Seafood & Steakhouse is a hidden gem, but it's amazing and I wanted to share the bright spots in an otherwise lackluster lineup of Nags Head restaurants this trip. If the Millers are all one family, the folks who run this restaurant should get a shot at the waterfront location because their business model, menu, and staff are so SO SO much better! read more

Our family thoroughly enjoyed Miller's. The wait was reasonable, and the food came out hot and tasty. I had the blackened snapper topped with crab meat and hollandaise sauce, a baked potato, and fresh salad with thousand island dressing. All was delicious. The waiter was efficient and pleasant. I have been coming to Millers since I was 5 years old. What can I say about it? It is by far my favorite place to get brunch in the outer banks. We were seated almost immediately. Our hostess was so friendly. Our waitress was amazing. She knew the menu and specials. She talked the bartender into off the menu drinks. We've been coming to OBX for many years now and I believe this was my favorite meal. The place was very busy but they still sat us right away. The waitress Renee was always available but not overly in our face. We ordered mozz sticks for an app, which were good but the table really loved the hush puppies. They went so fast! My young son and I split the ribeye special (ours was 16oz but they had a 24 oz tomahawk on specials list too) and it was perfectly cooked and delicious. My other son had carbonara with chicken and my wife had crab cakes. No complaints about anything but we were all too full for dessert. read more

Great dining experience here. We were hoping to sit outside and watch the sunset because we had our dog but it was a bit too chilly and windy. The staff was very accommodating and gave a great seat inside. Service was great and the food was what we were craving. We ordered the hush puppies and Bang Bang Brussels sprouts. Excellent. We also had two cocktails and they were huge. I had the lobster roll which was delicious and my hubby had the fried flounder. Two thumbs up. I would definitely recommend. A perfect weekend breakfast! Things get pretty busy on Saturdays, we stumbled upon Miller's and since the restaurant is huge we were able to get seated right away. Our server was so friendly and attentive, food was amazing all around! The omelettes are thin, almost crepe style, and the hush puppies they give you with your drinks were amazing! This is one of my favorite places! The sushi - 10/10. I love the Cheesesteak roll but they are all delicious - I have tried a few. My 10yr old tried the Tuna Tataki this visit and he ate the entire thing. My husband had a surf and turf special - steak, shrimp with a sauce and 2 sides - also delicious. Although there was a bit of a wait to get a table, it was a delightful restaurant. Eat early or late for your best bet to get in. Our server was an efficient person who offered suggestions and delivered food promptly. Basket of perfectly cooked hush puppies arrive only minutes after arrival. I ordered crab cake (broiled) with side salad (upcharge) and french fries. My partner ordered the fisherman's platter. Salad was strawberry and feta with and raspberry vinegarette. Fresh greens, plenty of strawberries and feta, just a nice salad. Crab cakes were all crab with no discernable filler. Fries were fries, I only ate the crunchy bits. It was really a great deal of food (for me). SO's platter was beautiful and perfectly cooked. We did not order a dessert. There is just so much food. Ambiance was of a very nice steak house. Wait staff were knowledgeable of ADA rules and accommodated us accordingly. Parking is tight but does enable a large number of cars/trucks. read more

For a restaurant right across the street from the beach it was surprisingly a really nice place. The staff were very friendly and helpful and our waitress, Sydney had a great personality and was very knowledgeable and helpful with the menu. The hush puppies were not like normal hush puppies. They didn't have onions in them but had powdered sugar and butter. So delicious. Get there early as they fill up and the wait can be very long but if you do have to wait rest assured it will be worth the wait read more

If I could give 10 stars, I would. We enjoyed an amazing dinner this evening - honestly the BEST CRAB CAKE I have ever eaten. And those hush puppies - oh my goodness!!!! I had the Surf & Turf and my NY strip was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Others in the party had the Seafood Trio, chicken tenders, fried shrimp, chicken tenders and a cheeseburger. It was noisy, but still very enjoyable. Our server was adequate even though we had to request refills on our drinks. Total thumbs up all around. We ordered 2 cups of sea crab soup, which had the consistency of sausage gravy, was very salty and over seasoned with a plastic flavor and literally had two pieces of crab meat in it. We ordered one broiled, fisherman's platter and one fried kill devil Hills platter. Not a chance the seafood was fresh at all. The flounder on both platters tasted old and was super dry, and you can tell the shrimp and crab cakes were not fresh whatsoever, and had been frozen for a while. The fried seafood breading was soggy and cooked an old oil. The place was completely packed so maybe I had a bad experience, I don't know. But I'm not gonna spend another $120 to find out. read more

We got there at 6:45. There was A LOT of people waiting but since we were a table of 3 we only waited for 10-15 min. The service was relatively quick considering the place was packed. The restaurant is actually pretty big. The hush puppies are more like balls of funnel cake, but they are TO DIE FOR. I really enjoyed the broiled fisherman's platter. The flounder could have used some salt, but everything else was marvelous. My mom enjoyed her chicken and mash. My boyfriend however was not happy with his meal. The crab legs barely had any meat in them. Definitely not worth the price. AND the shrimp were not cleaned correctly. Would NOT recommend getting any steamed seafood from here. 5/5! Miller's Seafood was highly recommended to us by a friend of ours, so of course, we had to pay them a visit. Seafood and Steak, that's a combo that will get me anytime. The Food: Hush puppies were served as an appetizer, and they were endless!! The hushpuppies were huge and was made perfectly! Probably one of the best I've had to be honest. But for my main entree, I got the "Surf and Turf". The New York strip was cooked perfectly to the temperature I requested, and the crab cake I chose had a good amount of crab filling inside. Overall a very good meal! The Service: Service was great! Staff were friendly and attentive all the time. No complaints. Especially for waiting our large group of 8. This restaurant is really popular, so it's best to try for an early dinner time if possible. One positive feature is that they'll accommodate families and large groups in the dining room, which worked out well for our group of nine adults. The restaurant is clean and ocean themed inside. We really appreciated how attentive our server was despite how busy the dining room was. Our drinks were always full and our meals arrived in a timely manner.
