Fried green tomatoes with burrata appetizer - beyond excellent!!!

Service is excellent! We were seated right away for lunch and our server, Rachel, was the BEST! Please please make sure you don't miss the Fried green tomatoes with burrata - so delicious and served beautifully. The fish and chips entree had crispy fish pieces, awesome fries, and a variety of sauces. The cocktail sauce is amazing!

This is the first time I've tipped 30% because the server went above and beyond explaining the menu and making suggestions. The food got mixed reviews only because my kids are very picky but they said the fries were amazing. The cheesesteak sandy was unique so make sure you like lots of cheese, which my husband did. The shrimp not a burger I highly recommend because you'll not find anything like this, the fried green tomato was cooked to perfection. Can't wait to go back. The outdoor seating was so relaxing, sit outside if weather permits.

TIP: make a reservation well in advance! My husband and I walked in for an early dinner, and were told the wait was 2.5 hours. Luckily bar seating is first come first served and we were able to snag seats quickly. Our orders came out relatively quickly. The fish was and chips were pretty good, just needed salt. Look forward to dining here again!

Community table in the bar is a great spot, without waiting. Started with calamari and sangria and it was refreshing. Calarmi was delish, the sauce is great! I had the mahi mahi BLT and a side salad. The mahi was amazing and nice slices of bacon, the fries were the bomdiggity. Side salad had a lot of mixed lettuce and tasted good, alot of little extras like mushrooms, red pepper, little cherry tomatoes, carrots slices. Our server was the best..Thank You and I'm so sorry I forgot your name.

We arrived here during the end of winter so the place wasn't so crowded but still had a good amount of folks coming through to eat. The restaurant was clean and neat, greeted as soon as we opened the door. The waiter was super sweet and friendly and made sure we knew the ins and outs of the restaurant. The food options were plenty, I got the steak and cheese which was phenomenal and cheesy. I took the other half home. My hubby got mahi fish and chips and my 1yr of got the fish and veggie kids plate and everyone enjoyed all the food! I noticed that there wasn't toooo many seafood options but maybe because it's a grill place but I truly enjoyed the experience!

Blue moon serves what you'd expect from a high quality coastal seafood restaurant. Our seating was wonderful. We were out on the patio with a cool breeze and got to listen to live music play. Such a treat. For the appetizer, we had the special which was the shark bites. The shark bites were amazing. The shark was firm but not tough. The sauce with it complemented it perfectly. The catch of the day was a blackened tilefish. The risotto the fish was on was good as well as the fish itself. Nothing amazing but definitely delicious. For dessert we had the flourless chocolate torte which was just like a slice of fudge. It was dense and super chocolatey with a little bit of whipped cream to add a creaminess. Delicious dessert. Service was great and very quick. Would love to come back.

Excellent service from our bar staff: enjoyed the martinis he crafted: the cheesesteak is always my go to meal. It's honestly enough for multiple people but I gorge on this sandwich for days. We sat at the bar to get the most of our awesome service.

The best food we have had in the Outer Banks. My husband and I were in town for a week, so it was convenient that we could snag seats at the bar. It was lively, but not distracting. The bartender (Alex) was great! Mussels - 10/10 Crab and Pimento Cheese Dip - 8/10 Beef Bulgogi (special) - 10/10 Crab cake - 8/10 ( wish it would have had more of a crust) Spinach and Arugula salad with Shrimp - 10/10 Will go back here every single time we visit the Outer Banks.

We waited 90 minutes to be seated on a Friday night in August, and the experience was well worth the wait! Service was friendly and attentive. Ambiance was great; I specifically loved the music playlist on the night we went. Most of us ordered from the "Specials" menu. For an appetizer, we shared the fried green tomatoes w/ burrata. My salmon entree was fabulous, as was my cucumber gimlet. I highly recommend!!

    Swordfish special

They have the BEST Cesar salad I've ever had in my life!! I always add it as a side to my meal. I've had a number of entrees here that are good, usually get the fish special which has always been delicious. Service is good but definitely expect a 1-2 hour wait during summer. Good news is they have a really awesome backyard waiting area with games, music, seats, and a bar.

We arrived 4 minutes before close after a crazy busy day and we were greeted with a smile. Our waiter Paxton was very friendly and knowledgeable with the menu. We ordered his suggestions "swordfish and the pork chop". Mussels and oysters rockfeller as appetizer. Everything was to die for!!! Pork chop was juicy and perfectly cooked and my swordfish had many fantastic flavors! Come here if you are in the area, or not!! It's worth the $$, the time, the service! A+++ and you can also buy the artwork off the walls! Another fantastic memory created!!

Our server Paxton was FANTASTIC!!! He helped make our decisions easy because there were so many great options. RESERVATIONS are a MUST!! I even tried to make our lunch time an hour later to spend more time on the beach but they were 100% full! I chose the calamari and I did not go wrong!! I asked for it crispy and it was delicious!! The lemon cream sauce could've come have been left out of the bowl. It was very bland and not lemony or garlic at all. They had a flounder sandwich and I requested the red chili aioli that came with it. THAT SAUCE!! IT needs to be in the center of the bowl of calamari!! Absolutely delicious and compliments the seafood well. Hubbylicious got the cheesesteak ('wiz without' - iykyk). Their wiz type cheese is homemade and is not salty like the store-bought type. It went well with the steak and flaky hoagie. The fries are hand cut and cooked to a light crisp. FANTASTIC BIRTHDAY LUNCH!! Since I must take dessert in this day, I chose the lemon marscapone cake & we also got the 6-layer cake (hello cake w/ chocolate ganache) [Side note: all cakes are brought in by a local lady who bakes them in her house]. It's a must go for a great meal and as for Paxton!!

Sea Chef is where fresh, quality seafood, a full bar and a casual atmosphere collide. If you don't know much about this spot you may be surprised to find such high quality food served at the local fishing inlet. I went for the shrimp burger and it didn't disappoint. Large shrimp are somehow formed into a patty and served on a potato roll with a somewhat spicy sauce, fresh julienne carrots and arugula. We shared a cup of Shrimp and Roasted Red Pepper soup from the daily specials. It was delicious, with a little tartness that gave it backbone. Perhaps from sour cream. It was perhaps a little bit overthickened but was short of pasty and we enjoyed it. I would have been happy with a bowl of this for my lunch, but I had other plans. The decision is easy for Ms T. I know before we leave the house that she is ordering fried shrimp and they are excellent here. They are large, plump, tender, flavorful and cooked just right. They don't have a silly heavy batter. Lately we have had at least three instances of undercooked shrimp. These were perfect. They were accompanied by a mound of very good French fries and some acceptable slaw. The sauce for the shrimp is a very good, mustardy sauce. I ordered Baja tacos, blackened and did not regret it. They are served in nicely toasted flour tortillas with cabbage for crunch and a creamy sauce. The mahi was seasoned and blackened well. It is served with a good roasted tomato sauce and some beans over rice. My only regret is that I should have asked them to omit the onion laced pico de gallo. Two large tacos were too much so one came home with me. This was a great lunch for Valentines's day.
