The windows were closed today-like big garage doors, with a beautiful view while the wind howled out there!

We liked our salads so much yesterday that after an incredibly windy beach hike we fed out appetites in the rooftop bar, which was sealed tightly against that crazy wind, but still offered a beautiful view of the kite surfers taking full advantage of the weather. The menu was similar to downstairs but more lunch appropriate, and still had specials and a lot of great choices. We had the tuna tacos and tuna in pesto in ciabatta with waffle fries (perfectly prepared, I might add-not greasy, overly salty or skimpy in portion-just perfect!). Wow! How could 2 meals in a row be so delicious? I'd eat here every day if I could! The service was quick and super friendly, down to the last person we spoke with. What a great vibe. Way to go, Miller's!

Fresh and tasty. We stopped in at sunset and was told it would be a 45 minute wait, but we actually only waited 10. Sweet! We had an amazing sunset view over the water. I had the brussel sprouts and the blacked mahi-mahi gnocchi, goodness I licked the plates clean. We were taken care of by missy and she knew her stuff. I can't wait to get back.

Great location on the OBX for a sunset dinner. While we ate in the main restaurant, with so many great views, there is also a bar area with outside seating---when the weather is a bit nicer than it was for us, would have to be one of the best places to grab a cold beverage and enjoy a sunset. Tried their "world famous" hush puppies and they certainly were up there with some of the best we've had here. Also tried their she crab soup and you could tell this was legit homemade---large chunks of crab and a healthy serving. Absolutely NOT soup from a can!

I will say that the she crab soup might be the best soup I have ever had. Thick creamy meaty and flavorful. The fish sandwich was ok. Too much onion, not enough fish. Heard the calamari was good as were the brussel sprouts. Extremely busy and crowded. Be prepared to wait. Mixed reviews on the orange crush. I thought not as good as other places, some people thought it was better. Not sure where to go on that one. The waitstaff was very attentive even with a packed house

Fried seafood trio. So good! We took some of it to go as well and it was still fresh.

I 100% recommend this place. The food was fresh and delicious. Me and my mom came here and we had an amazing time. Our waitress Tina I believe is her name was actually so kind. She helped us figure out what beaches to go to and places to visit. She was so lovely. The atmosphere was very calm. We chose to sit outside and the sunset was as pretty as it can be with the clouds covering it but it was so peaceful and I would 100% come back!

I think if I wasn't a single taking a Four top so that I could enjoy the breeze coming off of the Harbor and taking pictures I might have been treated better I was pretty much ignored after my food was delivered until I had one scallop left that being said the food was fantastic the scallop appetizer was amazing loved the accompanying sauce and seaweed salad. The onion rings are definitely homemade. And as a single I usually eat appetizers so that I can taste more of one thing unfortunately my beer sat at the bar for about 10 minutes before it was delivered to me so it was yucky but anyway just the way it is. The place was definitely packed No Doubt but I really felt ignored by my server.

Went to the other Millers because it said Dogs allowed- no they are not. This one on the waterfront does allow them on the back porch. We put our name on the wait list and walked around back. We were told we could get drinks out there but the outside bar wasn't open. My husband went in and got drinks- I got a mint coconut mock mojito- it wasn't good- tasted only like coconut mix - it dis have 2 mint leaves thrown on top (not even crushed) We were seated at the top of the ramp (traffic of people was busy and sunny) Our server was very nice and cheerful. I ordered the salad with rare tuna and raspberry vinaigrette dressing. It was very good. My husband got the fried shrimp with cocktail sauce (she kept forgetting to bring the cocktail sauce) third time by she remembered (by then he was almost done with hi sides) Place has a great view.

Had lunch here Mother's Day 2025. She crab soup starter was good, and we got the fried flounder baskets. Fries were nice and crispy, cole slaw has just a hint of Old Bay which is great and the flounder was good - especially with malt vinegar. More of a classier dining place, with a great sunset view of the sound if you're there that time of day.

We arrive around 5 on a Wednesday evening. The parking is tricky and possibly a fire hazard there's only one way in and you have to do a 360 if their designated parking area is full. But theres parking in neighboring venues. It was busy and our wait time was 30 minutes. Which was probably the likely scenario for all restaurants around this time. The wait wasn't too bad there's a scenic waiting area out back with a view of the inner bay. We took a lot of photos and viewed the menu. Thats how we learned that There was another restaurant upstairs; sunset bar and grill, it was smaller and was 45 mins wait but our table was ready. Time passed pretty quickly. There was a special menu besides the regular menu and we ordered with ease. Our waitress did not keep us waiting throughout the night she was attentive even for how busy it was. We ordered 3 apps, 3 entrees and a kid meal. We played Uno as we waited.. the artichoke spinach dip was good tasted like fresh artichokes, the calamari was perfect none was overly fried, the Brussels was sooo good! honestly everything was good. No complaints at all except the veggies but to be fair my family don't do veggies but I liked the medley of veggies and mash potatoes. I would come here again.

Down in OBX for a few days staying at our favorite spot, First Colony Inn, and headed out to Miller's Waterfront for dinner. Such a classic setting, overlooking the sound. A menu with many options and seafood choices. Tonight, we both decided on the Trawl Boat which had scallops, a crab cake and shrimp. All were delicious. This place makes amazing hush puppies too! We had a brownie with ice cream for dessert and it was a perfect ending to an excellent meal!! Our server was so nice, knowledgeable and attentive! We got there at 5pm and were seated pretty quick, but there was a long line when we were leaving. I do recommend eating early in the OBX during vacation season, or just plan to wait. This is one of our favorites and they did not disappoint tonight!

This was the easiest 5 I have given out in a while. The atmosphere is a 10. There is both inside and outside seating. The feel is beach casual, but I feel like it is a little nicer than other beach spots. There is a long deck that you can walk out on with a drink if there is a wait. Wes was our server. He did a great job waiting on us and was friendly, efficient, and our order was put in and delivered to our table with perfection. I didn't even get to the food! Awesome! I had the sample tray. It had scallops, shrimp, and a crab cake. My son had crab legs. My daughter had calamari. Lastly, my wife had the She Crab Soup. Everything was awesome. We generally stay further north in Corolla, but if you get close to the Nagshead area, this is a must lunch or dinner!

We had to wait over an hour. They said 45 min. Then it was really loud. Our waiter was good. The food was good not great just Good. If I come hear again it will be 4:30 not 7:00. The Food got to us in a good timely manner. Tim

Great food and service in bright, sunny restaurant which is modern with a beachy feel…read more Dined here for lunch and was very happy with the meal. I had the blackened mahi-mahi BLT sandwich which was perfectly cooked and served with over a pound of french fries. Not going to lie; the fries were fantastic. Nicely seasoned and not greasy. I ended up eating the mahi open-faced to avoid spilling on myself but the fish, tomato slice and lettuce were all delicious. It also came with a crisp pickle spear. My wife got the ceasar salad and added a skewer of blackened shrimp. The shrimp were tasty but could have stood a little more spice. They have a nice wine selection including a good selection available by the glass. Also a nice beer selection with some local/NC beers on tap. I observed all of the staff being very friendly and helpful to patrons throughout the restaurant. I will definitely be back and looking forward to trying it for dinner.

Love, love, love Blue Moon Beach Grill!…read more This is always on our list of regulars to hit on the OBX every time we go. In the last year or two they've moved to a much larger building (which was very much needed because they're so popular). Parking can be tight depending on what time you go, but GO! This new location has a second floor! They have daily specials, though I'll always get the fried oysters if they're available. I and my family and friends have always loved anything we get here - delicious! BMBG is family-owned, and you can tell -- the service is top notch. At the front door they have a large selection of BMBG apparel -- take some of Blue Moon home with you! While there, check out the fantastic fireplace made of oyster shells -- I took a picture for you.

Blue Water Grill has never let us down. This seemed like a good place for lunch on Valentine's Day…read more It was sunny and bright, and the restaurant's windows provide a great view. We shared a cup of Shrimp and Roasted Red Pepper soup from the daily specials. It was delicious, with a little tartness that gave it backbone. Perhaps from sour cream. It was perhaps a little bit overthickened but was short of pasty and we enjoyed it. I would have been happy with a bowl of this for my lunch, but I had other plans. The decision is easy for Ms T. I know before we leave the house that she is ordering fried shrimp and they are excellent here. They are large, plump, tender, flavorful and cooked just right. They don't have a silly heavy batter. Lately we have had at least three instances of undercooked shrimp. These were perfect. They were accompanied by a mound of very good French fries and some acceptable slaw. The sauce for the shrimp is a very good, mustardy sauce. I ordered Baja tacos, blackened and did not regret it. They are served in nicely toasted flour tortillas with cabbage for crunch and a creamy sauce. The mahi was seasoned and blackened well. It is served with a good roasted tomato sauce and some beans over rice. My only regret is that I should have asked them to omit the onion laced pico de gallo. Two large tacos were too much so one came home with me. This was a great lunch for Valentines's day.
