Had to wait a bit for a seat, but definitely enjoyed this place right close to the beach. Plenty of parking and seating and the beachy vibe was just what we were looking for. Staff was super friendly and great with kids and the food had plenty of delicious options.

The food came out super quick and the staff was really friendly! It's a cute beach restaurant with really good food! The big lie sandwich was sooo good and the fries were delicious! We also got the nachos which was also so good!

My friend and I decided to take a day trip to Nags Head. I reviewed the menu before going and I'm happy I chose this place for us to enjoy a late lunch. We walked in and were seated right away. Their dining area is small in the front but they also have a patio. Service is a little slow to come greeted us but it looked like they only had 1 waitress, Megan. She was very nice. She went over the specials which had us intrigued. I ordered the southwest salmon salad, my friend had the chili wings and a cheeseburger. The food was delicious!! That salad was soooooo good! They need to put that on their regular menu. My friend enjoyed the wings and the cheeseburger. Definitely check this place out!!

    Teriyaki burger- so good!

Came here for lunch the other day. Originally intended to come for dinner but glad we didn't. We waited about 15-20 minutes to be seated when I saw multiple tables open. No biggie just irritating. Can't imagine how that would have been at dinner time. The place is a bit divey inside but we appreciated the unique decor and fish tanks. Ordered drinks-one drink we got was extremely strong and the other tasted like it had no alcohol. The food was the redeeming factor; it was worth the wait and super good. Everyone was happy with it. I had a teriyaki burger and it was fantastic. My husband had a chicken sandwich and said it was really good! Overall, not sure about this one. Would probably go back because that burger really hit the spot!

Guy Fieri does NOT LIE! Come to Tortugas Lie. Classic and Charmong. Varied menu. Something on here for everyone. Craft beer. Cocktails Seafood. All Local. You must visit. I loved the art work and the tile and the beautiful fish tanks. Servers were exceptional and very nice. I would go back to eat more Local stuff. Bought a hoodie.

The ambiance was eclectic and funky. We sat in the area with a ton of license plates, which I enjoyed ready with my daughter. The service and food were adequate. I actually like my daughter's meal best (fish and chips). I would probably try another spot if I return to the area.

Tuna burrito with black beans and rice.

I had the black bean and tuna burrito with rice and Hatteras clam chowder, it was delicious and very filling, I totally recommend. Our server was fantastic and very attentive and the restaurant has the beach flare with surf boards and license plates on the rafters. It was raining and not able to see outside bar with volleyball and more, highly recommend to everyone.

The Coco Loco Chicken was amazing ! Tight quarters for seating but service was great and all the staff were super friendly! Fun coastal vibe!

Place was hopping....inside it felt small but accommodating...low lights and a steady flow of conversations...hour wait for table but if we opted for the bar and it was only a 15 minute wait...there was a woman on guitar with a beautiful voice outside with seating and an open bar where we waited...seated at the bar and menus were already in front of us...bartender was very attentive and friendly ...placed our orders and after only a 15 minute wait we were served...I ordered conch fritters and fish bites.... SA ordered Quinoa Salad....Coconut Custard Pie for dessert and I had a Toasted Turtle for an adult coffee...the Bites were tuna lightly breaded and OMG good....save your money and don't order the Conch Fritters...so very grateful I experienced them in Florida for the first time....now I know better...Sa's Quinoa Salad....excellent..coconut custard pie was homemade and packed with coconut...my Toasted Turtle did not taste like it had a healthy amount of liquor in it...oh and yeah...for a place this size....only ONE shared bathroom...

We stopped here mainly due to its featured Caribbean islands flavored cuisine. Many different handheld sandwiches are also offered as well. Although the Jerked dishes were nicely done, we felt that the Jerked sauce/spice used lacked heat/spiciness, like it's missing the "It" factor. The staff was friendly and helpful. The interior decor was mainly island themed. You can choose to dine in either indoor or outdoor settings. So if you haven't had a chance to try out Caribbean cuisine, this may be a good place to start.

Ms T chose the flounder sandwich, which was nicely done with shredded lettuce and tomato with a very good tangy, creamy sauce. I had an oyster basket with slaw. I am not an oyster expert, but these were sweet, mild and clearly fresh. They were coated lightly and fried perfectly so they were tender. Goombay's serves 50 caliber French fries which are not always well prepared, but in this case, they were excellent, creamy inside, not dry or half burned. They have a little of the ubiquitous potato varnish as a coating, but it is light. I ate way more than I needed. The slaw was also a good sweet/tart version, which is my choice. All in all, this was a great lunch at an old favorite place. I left wondering why it took us so long to get back. Hopefully we can work them into our busy lunch schedule again when we return in the Fall.

Since it was a Wednesday evening, I figured it shouldn't be busy, but boy was I wrong lol. When we arrived, the wait was almost an hour and we contemplated leaving but thankfully, there were two, open seats at the bar, so my daughter and I decided to grab those seats and dine in. The restaurant was very colorful and vibrant and I loved all the Jamaican decor. The bar was just as packed and it took a while for someone to get us menus but after looking over the menu, we decided on the Brown Stew Chicken and the Curry Chicken. We also ordered Frozen Bob Marleys, which were very good. As we waited, we were able to hear the sounds of the band nearby and it made for a nice vibe. It took an hour for us to get our food but our server/bartender, Meka, was very sweet and apologetic. The Brown Stew Chicken was amazing! It was seasoned wonderfully and extremely flavorful. The Rice & Peas and Plantains were just as good. My daughter enjoyed her Curry Chicken as well. Neither one of us cared for the Mac & Cheese. Wednesdays are Groove on the Green, which is a free, Music Concert Series that Cutlass Grille hosts so I believe that's what caused it to be busy. Plus, we saw a few graduates out there as well having graduation dinners. Overall, I enjoyed my food but we definitely picked the wrong day to go. If I'm ever in the area, I would probably return in hopes for a better dining experience.
