Noosa Grill was one of my son's favorite spots this summer while he was in the Outer Banks playing summer collegiate baseball, so I was excited to finally see what all the hype was about. After one visit, I completely understood why he kept coming back! The restaurant has the perfect laid-back beach atmosphere. The bright, colorful décor immediately puts you in vacation mode and creates a fun, welcoming environment. My son ordered the mussels and the salmon. The mussels were the standout of the meal--steamed perfectly and served in a rich, garlicky white wine broth that was so good you could easily soak it up with bread until the bowl was empty. The salmon was beautifully prepared, looked fantastic, and judging by the empty plate, he thoroughly enjoyed every bite. I played it a little safer and ordered the fish and chips, and I have zero regrets. The fish was perfectly fried with a crispy, golden coating while staying flaky and tender inside. It was seasoned well and full of flavor. And as someone who can never resist great fries, these definitely hit the mark--hot, crispy, and the perfect complement to the fish. Between the delicious food, relaxed beach vibes, and friendly atmosphere, Noosa Grill made for a very enjoyable dining experience. We drove by so many times and stopped in! There wasn't a long wait but it was busy. They change the menu frequently so don't have your mind made up before arriving when it comes to ordering. It's decorated nice inside. Not a good place for groups and they do not allow separate checks. There were flies everywhere, dead and alive, smeared over walls and windows. My Philly cheesesteak was smothered in a loose liquid cheese that went everywhere. The fries were soggy. Our server was not pleasant. I'm going to pass on this one. read more

Arrived - was told a 25 min wait ( that's fine) Get the call to come in at 8:51 pm. We were sat - got our drinks, ordered. We didn't hear anything about the food for 55+ mins. Took a picture of my plate at 9:48 when it arrived. There was maybe 5 other tables in there. Was really hoping the wait would be worth it. Maybe we just came too late. Looked like my beans were scraped from a pan or container. Service was lacking, food took forever, food was " ok" 4 people was $130ish ( maybe that's normal for here. Noosa Beach Grill was an unexpected delight. The interior and exterior both gave a diner vibe but the options were far from standard beach fare. Service was great: friendly and prompt. When we said we would be splitting an appetizer, salad, and entree, the server brought us forks and small plates for each course making sharing easy. First we shared a beet and goat cheese salad. The house-made dressing was sweet and tangy bringing out the rich nutty flavor of the pecans. The crab cake served in a pineapple slaw was amazing. Undeniably the best crab cake I've ever eaten: all lump blue crab meat with no fillers. The pasta primavera was very good and the serving was late enough that there was enough to have for lunch the next day. read more

The food was amazing! We loved the coconut shrimp, the red snapper special, the Caribbean chicken, and the fish and chips--in that order. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. We also tried the crab cake. It just wasn't our favorite, though I'm sure plenty of people would enjoy it. A special shout-out to the perfectly cooked vegetables served with the entrées. Made dinner reservations here on our way to Corolla. Casual atmosphere with conversations occurring everywhere, so expect noise. Wait staff friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating to food preferences. My husband enjoyed a burger with hand cut fries. My oldest daughter ordered Caesar salad with grilled mahi mahi (wanted a grilled whitefish). Youngest daughter ordered kids popcorn shrimp meal (been craving since lunch). I ordered lobster mac and cheese. Food arrived hot, tasty and delicious. Portions were adequate and prices reasonable. Interior is beachy themed currently decked out in Christmas holiday vibe. Arrived to OBX late in the evening on a Friday, most restaurants closed at 9. We arrived around 930 and Noosa was open and they could not have been more friendly welcoming, and helped my son charge his phone after we had been driving long day and charge done be broke. read more

What an amazing restaurant! Food was delicious!!! Had a fried oyster appetizer, beet salad with salmon on top and blueberry crème brûlée. Extensive wine list by the glass. I hate to put a bad review because this was mine and my husband's favorite place to go. We have been coming here since it open and it has slowly gone down every time we have been here the past year. This last time the server was awful, very kind but seemed all over the place. The server barely came and checked on us. We waited 10ish minutes to get water. We ordered calamari and I watched it sit at the chef's table for at least 8 minutes before it got served to us. By the time it got served, it was cold. The previous times this place had the best calamari, this time it was soggy and greasy and flavorless. My husband ordered a medium well burger. It came out very well done and dry. The fish tacos were dry as well, kid shrimp seems like it was from a Gorton's frozen box. Still so sad that they took the Soy Ginger Salmon off their menu. Noosa Beach Grill was a great find during our stay in Kill Devil Hills. They have gluten free options which worked perfectly for our family, and the fries were especially good. The kids loved their chicken tenders, which made it an easy win for dinner. Right next door is their ice cream shop, so it's convenient to grab dinner and dessert in one stop. This was a great place. My fiancé chose it for the colors, and that was the least great thing there. Staff was very attentive, drinks always full, service was great, had an issue with an order and it was rectified immediately with no further problems. Great food and breezy outdoor seating! We came for a Memorial Day weekend, so many restaurants had a 1-2 hour wait for our 8-person party. Luckily we found this place with a 20 minute wait, so we took photos against their cute backdrops and then enjoyed beers outside until they seated us. I was happy with my watermelon sour and my beet salad, which was light and flavorful with a fun sweetness from the candied nuts. Friends were happy with their fish tacos, which were sizable, and the fish n chips. This year we decided to try all new places instead of going back to our usual spots. This was our first stop and it'll be hard to top. The inside is well laid out with a decent amount of seating plus a rather large bar and outdoor options. The cocktail menu was pretty extensive and it was tough to pick just one drink to start with. Our server helped me pick between the two I narrowed it down to. I got the Tropical Depression and my husband had the Report to Schwartz. Both were dangerously smooth and perfect for drinking slowly through dinner. I ordered the scallop dinner and he got the crab cake dinner. Both were delicious. Like seriously, even the spinach was amazing in my dish. The dessert was also tasty. We can't recommend their cheesecakes enough. The service was excellent from start to finish. We were never left too long without someone checking in and the drinks and food all came out in a reasonable amount of time. This will officially be at the top of our list of places to visit each year going forward. read more

This place was absolutely fantastic. I don't use that word much, but this establishment deserves it. Was touring the Outer Banks with a friend and had some early brews at Swells'a. My friend and I wanted some good grub that wasn't far, and found this place on Yelp. From the drinks, appetizers, entrees, and dessert, everything was top notch. My bud snagged a signature cocktail and mentioned it was good and mixed well. The Tuna Bites were solid, and I had the Seafood Pasta for my entree and it was delicious. Somehow had room for dessert and went with what the server recommended and it was perfect. A great time, nice establishment, and food and service was excellent. Thank you! read more
