Once again!!! We always hit Lucky 12 at least once when here. I have to have the wings!!! Orange hot wings! The whole wing.. flapper too! Cheesesteak was great. Pizza is wonderful AND they have it by the slice. That Cassie was tremendous! Right on the waters, drinks and the Chicago Dog!!! So good. We got that as an appy and cut it up to share! Inside is a casual, dive bar at the beach! Heaven if you ask me!!! Got the espresso martini for dessert! Yummo. We just love Lucky 12. We have had wonderful waitfolks all week. Cassie tops it all. Thanks!!!

Was super easy to call and place the order for pick up, ready in 20 mins. Service was nice and fast but honestly the pizza its self was just mediocre. Nothing fancy to brag about; but it didn't suck either. The pepperoni had a little kick to it, my 2 year old wasn't a fan of that. I got super excited about the ranch because it was nice and runny but it wasn't that great. However I would definitely try something different here, and I would go back.

One of my favorites each year this place really reminds me of Christmas in the 70s. From the decor to the food and the cocktail menu they go all out. We sat at the bar, enjoy!

TLDR: Good food and great service! Food: American restaurant serving apps, soups, salads, sandwiches, seafood entrees (baked or fried), pizza, and desserts. We ordered the cod sandwich, fries, fried pickles, and the scallops and shrimp boat with coleslaw and sautéed mushroom medley. Prices: Reasonable (see menu picture for pricing) except a side Caesar salad is a $6 up charge. Service: Excellent! We had positive interactions with all three of the employees we interacted with. Our waitress (Tammie) was patient, kind, and efficient. The host was welcoming and helpful. And an employee patiently answered my questions over the phone prior to our visit. Seating: multiple seating areas with bar stools, tables, and booths available. Noise: music and conversation is on the louder side. No louder than a typical sports bar. Parking: parking lot in front of the restaurant. Following the signs since the lot has a separate entrance and exit. Pets: Dogs are not allowed.

One of my fav places in Nags Head! Great food and fantastic service. Todd was our server and he was on his game! He was quick with delivering our drinks and food and had a great sense of humor. The clam chowder is some of the best I've had. Ahi tuna tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly. We were craving shrimp so we got the buffalo shrimp and fried shrimp basket. Both were great. We got mild sauce, however it was very spicy so beware if you don't have a good spice tolerance. Lastly, the fries were great- clearly hand cut and made fresh daily.

To start off, food was so so good! Service was absolutely the best from all staffing. Our server was Tammie & she was the sweetest and most informative to accommodate our night out after a long day of work! The ambiance in this place is always welcoming, comfort food, comfortable atmosphere & just a good ole time as always home!!!

Great food, great atmosphere. Really enjoyed the service as well, staff seemed very attentive and we were seated immediately.

1st time to OBX with a family of 4 and needed an easy place to come and watch the WNCAA game. This place is a Gem! Tons of TVs, great food and menu. What sets this place above even most places is their Bourbon selection! This place has top shelf allocated bourbon at decent prices. Friendly staff to top it all off. If I were to say the one con is there are not many tables. We came on a Monday at 630 during the off season and the place was packed. This place would be packed even with a bigger space which speaks to the quality you get here! If we ever find our way back to OBX we will come back for sure!

We ate here for lunch while on vacation for the first time last week and enjoyed everything we ordered. We started with the fried pickles app (ranch tastes homemade and is great) and the mild buffalo shrimp - which def had a kick to it but the waitress let us know beforehand and it was the perfect spice for us. My husband had the fish and chips (tarter sauce - also tasted homemade) and the meal was great - fresh cut fries are excellent. I had the MP Crabcake sandwich - fairly priced with tons of crab and the bun was excellent too! We ordered pizza to go for our daughter - which she also loved. We had great service and will definitely be back again! They also post their daily special on Facebook which I appreciate.

We decided to come here during the 12 Bars of Christmas since this establishment was the vision and originator of the OBX Christmas pop up bar. It did not disappoint with festive decorations and an extensive menu of holiday cocktails and food. My husband and I ordered the Don Featherstone's Old Fashioneds that were by far the best old fashioneds we have had. It was made with a homemade vanilla syrup and garnished with a luxardo cherry and a dried orange. We wanted to get a taste of a number of menu items so we ordered a slice of cheese pie, a Caesar salad, the Turkey Burger with fries and the Veggie Philly. The Veggie Philly really was our favorite dish while the other three we probably will not order again. We enjoyed drink and food there and look forward to returning.

I guess the Rockfish tacos were a daily special, so I ordered the "World Famous" Mahi tacos while Ms T ordered a crabcake sandwich. I think we were both a little disappointed. Her sandwich was definitely for bun lovers. She tore off enough bread for another sandwich and still had plenty. Restaurants are often guilty of conflating a huge bun with good sandwich. She was not particularly impressed with the crab cake, saying it was overloaded with thyme. I ordered my Mahi "blackened" and it really was not. The seasonings were good although also heavy with thyme. The flour tortillas were of poor quality, very thin and leathery and not provided hot. Hence the tacos were room temperature when eaten. I liked the finely shredded cheese that was not served refrigerator cold. The white sauce they serve is just wrong for these tacos. It is too sweet, too tart, making it harsh. Instead, I used the sauce that came with her crab cake and that was much better. Finally the mahi was very dry. I guess that is kind of the way that mahi is, but this really needed plenty of sauce. Kudos to them for serving good jasmine rice. This was not as good as we remembered. It is OK, not great and could be improved with just a few changes. We should have tried the burgers.

I talked Ms T into trying it again. We just can't handle a big lunch and wanted to avoid leftovers, so decided to split a pickle brined chicken sandwich with fries and an extra side of slaw. The sandwich was OK. To start with it needed more seasoning. How about breaking out the black pepper and garlic powder? The meat was uncharacteristically tough/chewy for chicken breast. I suggest they need to be pounding it to tenderize it and then brine it. It was actually hard for us to cut and eat. It really looked nice, but I think I am done with pickle brined chicken. It just never gets enough brine impact. They make good small caliber fries that were piping hot and the slaw was fine for me. Ms T did not care for it so I got it all. Our food was OK, not stellar. The service was excellent, but I still can't make this better than three stars. I hope to convince her to return for a burger during this trip.

Shipwreck's serves excellent shrimp that are large, fresh, plump, lightly battered, fried perfectly and salted just right. They do a very good job on the fried food that we had and there is much more that tempted me. I don't think that the slaw was quite as good as what we had the previous time, but still a bug improvement over what it was a couple of years ago. Again, I don't know if this was a conscious change or if they are just very inconsistent. I'm pretty sure we will remain customers and I am increasing the rating because they do serve excellent seafood. The slaw cannot be the driver for the rating.
