Outside seating. Not terrible, but the inside is much nicer
    Tito K.

We did Red Drum for lunch while staying in Nagshead in route to a vacation in Corolla. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We asked for outdoor seating as we just got into the Outer Banks. The indoor seating is much nicer than the outdoor. The outdoor is really a view of the road[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Our server did a great job taking care of us and was attentive filling our drinks several times. We ate fried shrimp, and Mahi sandwich, and wings. Everything tasted pretty good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a nice little spot. There are tons more options in Nagshead as compared to a beach like Corolla[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].

Picked this place randomly, and it was GREAT! We had a great waitress (Evia). If we needed something she was on it. BONUS, she also had a very great personality!!!! The food was delicious. The chowder was awesome! Husband had the blackened prime rib sandwich and he said it was very tasty and it was also big enough to split with someone. I also had the shrimp Mac-n-cheese minus a couple of things and it was also delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant looked like it was a new building or newly renovated but it was very clean and it had very nice vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It also had a few local beers that were unique. I would definitely go back!!!!

I came for the black pepper encrusted tuna the Tuesday special we saw it online and had to try it . I ordered rare and it can out perfectly cooked. The black pepper was initially a lot but it grew on me. The meal included a very tasty sauce that complimented the tuna nicely. The fresh vegetables were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The mashed potatoes were a little dry but the meal overall was great. We love coming here every year because the menu if full of options that are well down and the service is friendly.

We sat down quickly but the servers each had a lot of tables to wait, it took a while to order, get our food (which didn't all come together or even close to together), waited on the bill and the credit card to come back; we ate a variety of foods, 3 of us got seafood and the rest got traditional Americana meals, all were good & satisfied us; we would go again maybe a little earlier than 5.

Off season but still worth the visit! Reuben sandwich for me and a Greek salad with chicken for the wife. Bartender was really nice. Took good care of us while we were there

Ordered dinner for pick-up, they gave us an estimated pick up time of 30 minutes and it was ready in 10, so super quick service. We had the catch of the day burrito and the blue burger- both of which were delicious! Very happy with our meal after a long drive to the beach.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe inside is really fun.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Decor was cute and there was a pool table and foosball table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Server was nice and left us to enjoy our meal checking in periodically. Painkillers drinks were good. Barrel dip was amazing. Red drum sandwich was good and I enjoyed it but not a stand out.

We ordered food Togo so can't speak to the restaurants atmosphere but the food was great. The blackened tuna sandwich was amazing. Huge peice of tuna on a brioche bun. The Hatteras chowder was decent. It had a ton of clams and flavor. I do prefer the cream based version to the brothy like the Hatteras style. But just a personal preference and when your in the outer banks you have to try the Hatteras style.

Wow. We just arrived on vacation, escaping the daily toil of the endless need for government services in the Washington D.C. area. Tired of the work, work, work, we took off this morning after making quick and lucky reservations. We drove non stop, 4.5 hours, with, you guessed it, two very spoiled children. Sassy and Mellow. Yes, our cats. Our day ended by randomly looking for somewhere to eat, without any research. We saw the Red Drum Taphouse and I knew, for me, this would work. Not only was my steamed shrimp amazing, so were the two young ladies that were preparing, serving, bartending, and cooking. Reena and "sounds like" Yayna, were so fun. Were back out our hotel on the beach, and could not be happier. Thanks Ladies for making our road trip a happy ending. Mickey and Tee

The restaurant has two distinct dining areas: the front section is first-come first-served bar seating that offers the full menu. The back section, which would be ideal for families, holds about 30 tables, mostly booths, with the hostess stand. We chose to sit at the bar and had a great experience. We started with bruschetta topped with burrata cheese. I ordered the angel hair pasta in a white garlic butter, cream sauce with marinated chicken and grilled vegetables. My husband ordered the special hamburger with Swiss cheese bacon, spinach and mayo with a side of fries. We ended with slices of the key lime pie that didn't disappoint! The food, service, staff and environment were exceptional! We overheard the Server mention that veterans receive complementary meals on Veterans Day, which speaks volumes about how this restaurant supports those who have served. If you are in the Outer Banks- whether you're staying in Kill Devil Hills or nearby- this restaurant is worth the drive and all the hype!

The male host was the nicest person there and he should've been the one running the place because our waitress wasn't good at her job at all. The calamari was just ok but not very tender. It was very windy in the restaurant so stuff was blowing everywhere. We had two grilled cheeses, fries, a bbq sandwich and a shrimp po boy and it took over an hour to get our food. Service was very slow, it was not a warm or friendly environment. They're more dedicated to getting people drunk. A guy near our table was loudly talking on the phone and using profanity. I went in to get the reservation (expecting a long wait due to the crowd) she told me it was an hour and a half. We were totally fine with that, they have a great area to wait in the rear with corn hole, chairs, and a bar. But she made sure to tell me several times about the wait and asked me multiple times if I really wanted to wait that long. It felt like I was being pushed into not dining there. The wait ended up being a little over an hour. We got seated outside and it was beautiful and not too hot. Now let's get to the food. Our group ordered the buffalo shrimp as an appetizer and it was phenomenal!! We got the crab cake dinner, crab cakes sandwiches, and fish and chips for the entrees. They were all delicious as well. Our waitress was super nice to us and made sure we had a great time. So to end it, the food, waitress, and building/grounds was excellent and highly recommend (5/5 stars). The angry hostess that seemed like she didn't want anyone dining there because the wait time somehow bothered her, would not recommend (0/5 stars).

After one visit, I completely understood why he kept coming back! The restaurant has the perfect laid-back beach atmosphere. The bright, colorful décor immediately puts you in vacation mode and creates a fun, welcoming environment. My son ordered the mussels and the salmon. The mussels were the standout of the meal--steamed perfectly and served in a rich, garlicky white wine broth that was so good you could easily soak it up with bread until the bowl was empty. The salmon was beautifully prepared, looked fantastic, and judging by the empty plate, he thoroughly enjoyed every bite. I played it a little safer and ordered the fish and chips, and I have zero regrets. The fish was perfectly fried with a crispy, golden coating while staying flaky and tender inside. It was seasoned well and full of flavor. And as someone who can never resist great fries, these definitely hit the mark--hot, crispy, and the perfect complement to the fish. Between the delicious food, relaxed beach vibes, and friendly atmosphere, Noosa Grill made for a very enjoyable dining experience. It's easy to see why it's become a favorite among both locals and seasonal visitors. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the OBX!
