Pizza was amazing!!! We were going to another pizza place but it was closed. Decided to stop here and glad we did. They were getting ready to close in 15 minutes, but we were able to order and take it with us. It was so good I didn't even stop and take a picture. Sauce was yummy and it had a lot of toppings. Was happy to be able to find a place open during the off season but according to the previous reviews wasn't too sure what to expect. Our experience with the employees was not like many other reviews reported. They were very friendly, talkative and appreciated our patronage. It appears that most of the business is take out because there is only a hand full of booths to sit. Was happy to see that it was clean and tidy. The pizza was just ok to me. My biggest issue was that it definitely could have been cooked longer. The dough was a bit soft and gooey. Prices were a bit more that expected. For example, a small pizza with 2 toppings was $18. I might would return for a second visit if there weren't other choices to go to like today, but I would definitely ask for a well done dough. read more

The people there were very nice and helpful. The pizza should not allowed to be called "pizza". It's something else. It's pizza toppings on a doughy disc, but not pizza at all. Anyone from north of Washington DC should probably bring cold pizza to reheat at home and not get whatever the stuff here is. $16.00 for something the Red Baron would be ashamed to sell is not worth it. We just arrived in the OBX and were looking for dinner without an hour and half wait. We decided on this place and ordered the Greek Pizza. The dough appeared to be pre-made, the olives were whole instead of sliced, and the spinach was the defrosted frozen variety. It was not very good overall. The restaurant is a bit tired looking too. However, it was very clean. And the service from the cashier was outstanding. She greeted us quickly and warmly. She was vey attentive. I observed her cleaning the tables. She also brought our food to us because we were sitting outside and could not have been nicer and more accommodating. They sell subs and fried chicken too, so perhaps that's better than the pizza. read more

Get this at least once everytime my family and I venture to the outer banks. They are normally pretty quick and have good food but they are almost always out of sub rolls meaning they can't fix any. And when I ordered four pizzas they gave us (and charged) for six even though I repeated the order making sure it was for four pizzas. read more

Customer service was poor. Man with glasses and partially red hair had poor responses to older adults. The question was "which sub is mine" the answer provided was "you can open them up to see". Instead of apologizing when told by other customers that he was rude, he kept stating that the older gentleman asked him "not to bag his sand-which and that I do not have a sharpie back here". The pizza was fine. The service was dismissive. I don't think I should feel frustrated because I wanted my pizza cut into more slices. The person who took my order said he would cut the pizza to my specifications if he could remember them. We had just arrived in Kill Devil Hills and wanted a pizza. Max's is our general choice, not because it is the best we have ever had, but it is acceptable and is close to where we stay. However, we found it to be closed on a Sunday night. So, I headed for our backup spot, Village Pizza in Nags Head. Again, not open. After consultation with Ms T I headed for New York Pizza Pub and while driving north on the highway, I remembered Pizzazz. We had never been there, and I decided it was a good night to try them, although I did not have high hopes based on our experience at their sister restaurant, Cookshack Chicken. We always get sausage and green olives with extra cheese. Pizzazz did not list green olives, so I ordered black olives this time. I toted the pizza home and re-warmed it on a griddle which overcomes the tendency for it to become soggy. We liked this pizza as well as Max's and in fact thought the sausage was a little better and the cheese was definitely good. We liked that the sauce was not too sweet. As always in this area, we found the bulk sausage to be unseasoned. We were pleasantly surprised. This is at least as good as Max's and perhaps a little better. We wished for green or kalamata olives and better seasoned sausage. Those things would push them to four stars. We are still looking for great pizza on the Outer Banks. Oh, and by the way, it is a good thing I stopped at Pizzazz because New York Pizza Pub is no more. It is closed and being reincarnated as Mahi Mahi's. read more

As we just got into Nags Head after a long day of traveling, we chose Pizzazz Pizza because we wanted delivery from someplace close. It was 7:00pm when we ordered. We originally wanted a few subs and sides from their menu. However, they had already turned off their fryer, eliminating all but two of their sides, and they only have subs at lunch (but that isn't stated on their menu), so that half of the menu wasn't an option either. We ended up calling them back after deciding to change our order to 3 pizzas. The pizzas weren't bad. The Hawaiian really didn't have many toppings on it, especially lacking on the pineapple. The sauce also was pretty far from the edge, but the crust was okay. The other pizzas seemed to have plenty of sauce, cheese and toppings. Delivery took about 50 minutes from our order, which was within the time they told us. The driver was very nice, and I was able to scan my card to pay right with the driver. Pizza was hot when it was delivered. Overall, it was okay, but I might try other pizza places to compare. read more

Went to order pizza yesterday and had an issue with our phone or signal. The man who answered and couldn't hear us instead of nicely saying hello a few times started to scream and yell at us through the phone as if that was gonna help him here us any better. so we sent a message to there Facebook page and wrote a review on google and this is all they had to say. Very rude people. I would hate to see how they treat an actual customer. read more

Pizzazz is better than frozen pizza from the store, which is saying something. I have yet to find a really good pizza place in the Nag's Head area. I admit that I haven't searched very hard, but I've found that relying on Yelpers for help here hasn't been as reliable as other places for some reason. Maybe it's just being at the beach air playing with their minds, but what people here call 5-star pizza is really disappointing. In fact, nothing here is worthy of more than 3 stars. 5-star pizza comes out of a real brick pizza oven fired with real wood. Or it's a Chicago Deep dish, handmade crust and fresh cut toppings with real mozzarella cheese (NOT pre-shredded!). None of those have appeared at any restaurant here so far. At Pizzazz, The crust is thin and more of a fall-apart texture than chewy, and has a good taste. The sauce has a good flavor. It may be canned, but it's close enough to homemade in taste to pass for it. They are more generous with toppings than Dare Devil Pizza is so they get a three star instead of two. I haven't had any of the subs or other offerings from any of the pizza places, so my reviews are strictly for the pizza. If you find a real pizza offering on the Outer Banks, please let me know! read more

We were on a surf trip to the outer banks. After a full day of surfing everyone was starving so we found this pizza place. We were there over 1.5 hours before posted closing time. Upon entering we were immediately told no dine in all orders must be carry out. Since nothing else was available we decided to go ahead and place our order. The pizza was good enough but no condiments were offered. No paper towels, paper plates , crushed red pepper nothing. Since we were from out of town and staying at a hotel we didnt have any of these things with us and just had to make due with hotel towels. We paid over $75 for average pizza to not even be offered a few napkins. Also, No explanation was offered as to why the dining room wasn't available 1.5 hours before closing. Definitely won't be visiting this place on our next adventure to the outer banks. read more

Ordered a large pizza and my kids devoured it. I was able to snag a slice and it was pretty good. I didn't have high hopes based on prior reviews but was pleasantly surprised. I'd definitely order it again. The crust was a flaky kind and was different than any of the chains. Also ordered a salad too which was your standard salad fare. I could have used a touch more mozzarella on my salad but that was more preference and expectation from past pizzerias. We'd definitely get this again. Restaurant wasn't very clean and the service was subpar. Asked for salt and was informed that my fries "already had salt" on them, I informed the guy working that I wanted more salt anyways but he insisted that the fries had "the good salt" on them rather than the pre packaged salt. Even when the food was brought out we were given one box with everyone's food in it (myself and 2 of my companions) and told that the cook just put it all in one because it was going to the same table. Being from the Northeast all my life, pizza is standard. I like the thin crust and fresh simple toppings. Pizzazz comes close with a good hearty crust and good toppings. Friendly service and a lot of locals, both good signs. Lunch buffet, yes! Will go again when we visit. Good job! read more

You would think in a hotbed of COVID, employees would be required to wear masks.
