Instead of just "making it work" or creating a huge mess with drywall dust, Zach proposed a brilliant custom solution: building a clean birch veneer box with custom trim. It looks stunning and kept my house completely dust-free. What impressed me most was Zach's integrity. During the install, a small piece of my old plastic molding snapped. Instead of ignoring it, Zach took full ownership and replaced the trim on both skylights with upgraded foam-backed wood molding at his own expense to ensure everything was airtight and uniform. However, the sales associate missed a few details and later tried to encourage us to pay more, although the contract was ratified. We refused and were prepared to cancel the order. He later came back to say that his boss assumed the additional fee. We were promised the door in 4-6 weeks, but it has now been several months. We received an email that the door would arrive at their warehouse by 2/26/26, yet as of today 2/28, there has been NO communication. If the door is installed, I'll update the status on the installation and quality of the door. At present, I'm not certain that I would recommend American Windows.

He came by to check out my issue on the roof, explained what was going on, gave me a reasonable estimate and was ready and willing to fix the issue on-site. Since I had a few other issues internally with the roof, he agreed to come back the following week to finish up the issues. I can't believe he and his colleagues were able to assist me so quickly. RESPONSIVENESS - very fast, very responsive, very professional. A tad too frequent, but apparently roof repair is a competitive business. INSPECTION - scheduled and conducted efficiently; exceptionally thorough inspection report (David). COST - in line with all other quotes, which are apparently driven by the insurance estimate. Green Oak differentiation included owner interaction, master roofer certification, 5 star rating, excellent warranty, professional documentation and workflow management. WORK - scheduled efficiently, material arrived on time the day before, crew arrived on time the day of, work was conscientious and completed in 3/4 day (townhome), clean-up (including loose nail hunt) was impressively thorough. AFTER - received certificate of completion in a timely manner, along with photo record of repaired roof. Not being a roofer, it's difficult to assess the integrity of the new roof & shingles, however the end result appears clean and professional. Suspect the new, high-quality roof will increase the townhome value and/or decrease time to sell based on the high-quality products used and overall curb appeal of the work. They recently (May 2024) worked with me to extend the life of my original roof until I was ready to have a new one installed. The original roof was over 20 years old, but holding up. They presented options to help extend its life a few more years so I could prepare for its eventual replacement. Once I was ready they moved in and accomplished the process in one day. Prior to that we had discussions about the the project as a whole, amount of time required, where the debris would be placed and picked up, my options for the materials/colors, etc. Boyd Construction Company has worked on my house before, suggesting I wash and REPAINT my aluminum siding rather than REPLACE it. VERY pleased about that. (And "wash & repaint" was less expensive!) For all of my projects they have provided options to consider. For me that's a plus in any given situation--especially when you are relying on the expertise of others to help you navigate through a project and minimize any "surprises". Not all companies do that. Boyd Construction Company has always presented the full range of a project so we both can map out the best way to a successful result.
