I went to Pascal's Wood Working today for a small wooden desktop for holding a computer and monitor. I had owner's phone number, and address from this website, and was also made sure that I was his working hours. I don't know why, but man wondered when I called him and told him I am at his business address for a small order. I was not welcomed, and he was immediately looking for reasons to reject my order. Suddenly he said, the order can stay till January/February next year. Looking my good attitude if he can make this faster, then he called very high price, $700 -800. I did not see customer handling, business professionalism and honesty with this man. I will not see him again. I can not say "Don't go to Pascal Woodworking" but think twice before visiting this place. read more

I took two nightstands to Pascal that were poorly refinished by a family-owned furniture restoration business in Fairfax, VA. They badly botched my mid-century furniture, grinding down and staining the veneer into strange swirls and a blotchy mess. I thought the vintage pieces were destroyed, but Pascal said he would re-strip the finish and start over. He took off the doors and properly sanded them. There was only one area that had been too damaged for him to fix, but he blended the stain to move the eye away from the dip in the trim. Attached are photos of the way they looked when I brought them in, and you'll see where they had sanded too much in one place and ignored the corners near the hinges. The nightstands looked sloppy and unprofessional. For Pascal, bringing a piece back to the original splendor is clearly a passion. Because my previous experience was upsetting, he had me come back to his woodshop a couple times to look at stains and sign off on the work. I greatly appreciated his dedication and concern that the results would be pleasing. I'm thrilled to have the pieces ready for the next 50 years! Thank you very much, Pascal! read more

We first met Pascal a year or so ago when we were looking for someone to make a corner cabinet door in our kitchen- one that would match what we already had (the cabinet door was no longer available to order.) Pascal was the only carpenter of several that said "yes" he could make it. He did- cheerfully and timely-and it looks and works great! I contacted Pascal to fix a broken dining room chair and he was incredibly accommodating. Despite the fact that his shop is closed on weekends, he volunteered to come by my apartment to pick up the chair early one Saturday morning, and he dropped it off the following Saturday. I was beyond impressed by this amazing customer service, *and* the quality of his work is excellent. I'm not sure how his pricing compares to other businesses in the area, but I didn't feel terribly gauged.
