He picked the table up and returned it. For those of you who do not know what a drum table is, the center of the table goes around. Mine was badly broken causing the top to be very tilted. I told Mr Burkett, if he could not fix the table to turn and just have the top be connected to the part that turns, I would have him do the job. He came over and looked at it and said he was pretty confident he could fix it. I also have my grandmother's secretary and one of the doors was too warped to close, he fixed that too and now it closes perfectly.

Drew is truly an artist. He repaired a family heirloom chest in late 2022 and did beautiful work…read more It was a difficult project as he had to fabricate missing parts and blend them into the existing patina (the patina mattered to me). Moreover, he came to our home to pick up and drop off the piece, which was unexpected and most appreciated. And, he communicated regularly throughout the process with photos, updates on what he found etc. Fairly priced, extremely professional and a rare find. You cannot go wrong with Drew.

Drew does a nice job on his projects and is highly committed to his customers. He brought our…read moremid-century Broyhill Sculptra china cabinet back to life and did so with plenty of communication about our preferences on finishes and issues encountered, etc. Overall we're happy with the result. He is a very knowledgable and friendly guy. I was encouraged by his strong interest in the history of our piece and how it may have been constructed or refinished in the past. Once he started in on the refinishing, his work was very thorough. Since the cabinet has glass doors and displays dishes, he needed to sand and refinish the inside shelves and walls as well as the outside, and he completely took apart the door frames, installed new glass, and shored up the hardware. Being an older piece, the doors had some challenges with closing and always seemed a bit flimsy before the job, but after Drew's work they feel much more robust (in addition to looking great). I'm sure that working with these fragile doors was challenging and appreciate the care Drew took to get them and the inside finishes right. When we got to the finishing stage, Drew found a good solution for testing finishes in an area of the piece that wasn't visible and sent several pictures to help us preview and select the final finish. He made several helpful suggestions along the way about which finishes might look best. In the interest of full transparency, Drew quoted our job at 4-9 weeks and $1400 (we had another refinisher quote us the same price but with extra for delivery fees, so Drew's quote seemed fair). He turned the piece around in about 8 weeks and at the quoted price. He seems to have quite a few customers and due to other project obligations, he probably didn't start in earnest on our job until about week 6, so keep in mind that depending on conditions your project could end up on the long end of his range. This wasn't an issue for us, though, as Drew was very responsive and gave us regular updates on project and expected delivery timeline. Lastly, I think Drew's delivery methods could be improved a bit - transport is on a trailer that looks susceptible to some movement and bumpiness. One of our glass doors has a small and not very noticeable scratch that I'm guessing happened at some point in transit. Goes with the territory and certainly doesn't change our overall positive view of Drew's business, but an area where an upgrade may be warranted in the future.

I highly recommend Sergio Luis for any floor work you might need!…read more A couple of weeks ago, my tenant (who lives in my single condo unit in Washington, DC--I live in Los Angeles now), contacted me to say that the wood floors in the foyer near the utility closet had "raised up." I don't know any flooring folks so I went to Yelp and posted my need for a flooring expert to go out to the apartment and assess the situation. Sergio Luis from Artistic Hardwood Floors responded in a timely fashion. I noted they had great reviews--which is the first thing I look for--and he went out to the property later that day. As suspected, the raised floors were due to an HVAC leak in the utility closet. Long/short, Sergio's crew took out the floor and subfloors on Thursday, 7/3 and finished the work today, 7/7 (the concrete underneath needed time to dry plus it was the holiday weekend). The picture he sent of the finished product looked good. I don't know how much it costs to replace hardwood floors and blend them with the existing floors, but the price seemed fair to me. He also connected me with his long-time colleague, a plumber and HVAC technician to work on that piece, so it felt like a full-service situation going on, which was really helpful. Apparently plumbers and HVAC experts have a symbiotic relationship, which makes sense--Sergio had already surmised, even with the floors being dry and before he went to my condo, that it was an HVAC leak responsible for the raised floors. What I appreciated the most about Sergio was his communication (prompt and courteous), his thoroughness in explaining the situation and the work that needed to be done, and just his help overall since I live 3,000 miles away. He was very kind and helpful. And, they are professional experts at what they do. I am definitely keeping his information in my phone moving forward!

Since he was going to be in the house all day, he asked to meet our dog when he came in, so she could get used to him and not be worried while he was coming in and out of the house. When I had to leave the house, he called me to make sure I wanted a tint to match the bathtub vs. a bright white (as I had just told him "white" when I left). Aaron is attentive, kind, knowledgeable, and incredibly easy to work with. He called me back almost immediately and was at my house the very next day. I received several other quotes, and AG Construction came in with the lowest bid--but what really sold me was that Aaron also had the best visit. He took the time to listen and discuss what I wanted. He never tried to upsell me. He was respectful, honest, and immediately put me at ease. His communication throughout the entire process was outstanding, and there were absolutely no surprises. The hardwood floors in my kitchen, dining room, and living room had not been touched in more than 15 years. With kids, pets, heavy traffic, spills, and everyday wear and tear, they were definitely showing their age. With Aaron and his crew's guidance, I chose a lighter stain that truly brightened the rooms, and the finished floors look incredible. His crew arrived on time, sanded and refinished the existing hardwood and did a beautiful job. The craftsmanship was excellent, and the new shoe molding was a great finishing touch. I was also extremely impressed with the care Aaron and his crew took to protect my home. They did extensive prep work to contain the dust, carefully blocked off the work areas, and used equipment designed to collect as much dust as possible. Before applying the final finish, they thoroughly cleaned everything, and when the job was complete, the crew did a great job cleaning up all the trash and debris. Everyone on the team was professional, respectful, and clearly took pride in their work. Aaron's customer service is truly unmatched. He was responsive, punctual, transparent, and genuinely cared about making sure I was happy with the result. He and his crew delivered great work at a great price, and the entire experience was far better than I expected. If you're considering having hardwood floors installed, sanded, or refinished, I would highly recommend Aaron and AG Construction. It is rare to find someone who combines excellent craftsmanship, fair pricing, honest advice, and genuinely great customer service--but Aaron does it all.
