INCREDIBLE WORK AND STELLAR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I cannot say enough good things about Aaron, the owner of AG Construction, and his entire crew. Aaron is attentive, kind, knowledgeable, and incredibly easy to work with. He called me back almost immediately and was at my house the very next day. I received several other quotes, and AG Construction came in with the lowest bid--but what really sold me was that Aaron also had the best visit. He took the time to listen and discuss what I wanted. He never tried to upsell me. He was respectful, honest, and immediately put me at ease. His communication throughout the entire process was outstanding, and there were absolutely no surprises. The hardwood floors in my kitchen, dining room, and living room had not been touched in more than 15 years. With kids, pets, heavy traffic, spills, and everyday wear and tear, they were definitely showing their age. With Aaron and his crew's guidance, I chose a lighter stain that truly brightened the rooms, and the finished floors look incredible. His crew arrived on time, sanded and refinished the existing hardwood and did a beautiful job. The craftsmanship was excellent, and the new shoe molding was a great finishing touch. I was also extremely impressed with the care Aaron and his crew took to protect my home. They did extensive prep work to contain the dust, carefully blocked off the work areas, and used equipment designed to collect as much dust as possible. Before applying the final finish, they thoroughly cleaned everything, and when the job was complete, the crew did a great job cleaning up all the trash and debris. Everyone on the team was professional, respectful, and clearly took pride in their work. Aaron's customer service is truly unmatched. He was responsive, punctual, transparent, and genuinely cared about making sure I was happy with the result. He and his crew delivered great work at a great price, and the entire experience was far better than I expected. If you're considering having hardwood floors installed, sanded, or refinished, I would highly recommend Aaron and AG Construction. It is rare to find someone who combines excellent craftsmanship, fair pricing, honest advice, and genuinely great customer service--but Aaron does it all. read more

Hired for flooring prior to move in: Refinish floors and LVP. 1. Did not stain floors under appliances because they were "stuck." Costco removed fridge: effortless removal on wheels. Rolled right out. It was clear, Goodman's guys didn't even try. I asked how he would fix it and he said when the fridge dies and they take it out they will fix it. I asked for that in writing and Aaron the owner said "trust me." 2. Wood filler popped out of cracks immediately after refinish. 3. LVP supposed to last 10+ yrs. LVP is buckling. 4. Did not level the subfloor prior to installing the LVP. Over time, the LVP hás molded to the imperfections in the plywood sub-flooring. 5. LVP transition broke because threshold was not supported from underneath. The house is old and that was the excuse used at every obstacle. Maybe he's better with perfect scenarios not older homes. read more

I really wanted to give high points for the work A G Construction. Originally the floors were amazing. But a few months later there were major cracks in the wood filler. If I would have known the wood filler was going to crack I would have told them fill in the gaps. I had A.G. Construction to come out and repair the cracks and the workers did a terrible job. They rubbed a few areas with putty but it did not help. Now I have to look a terrible floors for the forseable future. read more

They did an amazing job on switching my floors from carpet to hardwood. The job looks seamless and it was a great value for the work completed. Will definitely use this company again in the future should I need to. If you're looking for a flooring professional with integrity, look no further... This guy knows his wood! Not only that, Aaron Goodman is the type of professional contractor you hope for but almost never get. When I first contacted him to discuss what I was thinking (replacing old carpet upstairs, refinish stairs and railings and eventually refinishing existing wood floors), Aaron came out, measured and gave me some recommendations based on our existing wood. He referred me to a great showroom so I could pick out the wood to replace the carpet. I took my time deciding and never felt rushed. Aaron kept me up to date on the timeline of wood delivery, start dates and estimated completion dates. His crew was precise and efficient, finishing ahead of schedule. I looked for imperfections, but I was hard pressed to find anything of concern (I found one tiny chip underneath the shoe molding which they easily fixed for me - but I guess they are human after all lol). Installation of my wide-plank solid hardwood flooring was flawless. I appreciate the professional and thorough printed quotes he provides by email (not scribbled on a sheet of paper) and I loved the White Glove Service he and his crew provided. I have been recommending AG Construction to my real estate clients for almost a decade and they have never let me down. Aaron has always bent over backwards for my clients, even if they picked the wrong color, he has always jumped in to make them happy. I'm so excited to finally have a little AG "magic" in my own house! read more

Given our previous good experience with Aaron and his team, we recently hired him to put in a new kitchen floor and match it as closely as possible with an existing hardwood floor in the adjacent hallway. There were some bumps in the process this time, but I nevertheless have to give Aaron 5 stars for seeing the job through til the end and staying true to his word that he would make it right. Given the small size of our project and how busy he is, it really meant a lot that he personally came out to see the quality of the work and had his team come out not once but twice to address some blemishes. It's easy to laud someone when everything goes smoothly on the first go, but when you run into issues, that's the real test of integrity. I'm very impressed and grateful that Aaron stuck with it, especially given the economic and time pressures many construction professionals are facing these days. I'm really happy with the end result and will continue to highly recommend Aaron to friends and colleagues. read more

Aaron was a pleasure to work with. He was very responsive, professional and reasonable. His crew arrived on time and did a great job refinishing our hardwood floors. Absolutely horrible! AVOID this "company" unless you want your house destroyed. I spent a full day vacuuming every surface, even the walls. Dust was everywhere, even inside the oven, refrigerator, light fixtures. They spilled stain on my walls, doors, and window ledges and I have to repaint everything. The floor was left in such bad shape it has to now be ripped out and entirely replaced. Instead of just refunding me the deposit, this fly by night operation gave me half back. What about all the damages? The time it will take to fix their mistakes? After they came back to "fix" the multiple problems, they caused more damages including ruining my window ledge. No protection at all for my brand new appliances and kitchen cabinets and floor. The freshly painted wall was also severely damaged which I now need to fix. I had asked to please protect my kitchen and I left a plastic drop cloth, which was balled up and tossed under the counter. I was shocked by the damages they caused, especially when I asked they protect my kitchen. My advice, AVOID them. read more

AG Construction and Flooring is such an amazing company, I completely recommend anyone who might even be hesitant to call Aaron and talk to him. He is the owner of the company, very personable and knowledgeable and won't waste your time. My husband and I had some pretty horrendous water damage in our "new home." We live in a stacked condo (similar to a townhouse) and our water heater overflowed from our bedroom downstairs to the main floor. Needless to say, I was a raging psycho when it happened. We had huge portions of our walls cut out....I mean like whole sheets of drywall, all the flooring (which was an awful carpet anyway) had to be ripped out. When this initially happened, I was almost six months pregnant, so mold was a huge concern of mine. So basically after a month of looking for the right contractor who wouldn't dick me over because we were in a vulnerable position, I found Aaron's company. After meeting with him and getting an exact picture of what the issues were, what the process was, and how much to pay, I was so reassured by his knowledgeability that we basically chose him in the room. I asked him a million questions that day and he answered every one of them thoughtfully and humorously. He even called us the next day to see if there were any concerns he could alleviate. Personality is a huge plus for my husband and I, and if I can't feel like you even give a shit about the work you do, it's not gonna happen. He and his crew did the drywall and painting work AND installed beautiful new flooring. They had their own lockbox system, that didn't require us to be on call to be able to open the door and let them in or lock the doors at night. This was a super convenience for us. We did stop by occasionally to look at work being done (we were very excited) and his crew was always professional and courteous, helping with any questions I had for them. This is my first baby, and he explained to us the merits of the flooring we chose and why it would be more beneficial for our young family. I would recommend him to anyone, and plan to use his company again. He's got a lifetime client from us. read more

Wow Aaron and his team are amazing! They refinished all our hardwood floors on our newly-purchased 1962 home. The floors were originally different shades and they made them all look a stunning dark tone! They also installed flooring in our sunroom and did a great job. Professional, pleasant and particular and very reasonably priced. also Aaron called a week or so after completion to Make sure we were satisfied and said he stands behind his work! Very satisfied with the outcome. We haven't done a home improvement project of this scale before; Aaron was very patient with us and our multiple questions. Our townhouse is from 1976, the quotes we got for installing hardwood floors ranged from 4K to 9k for our living room. He worked to get us the product that we wanted without trying to upsell us like so many other contractors did. Would definitely recommend. read more

Called AG after we were jerked around by Home Depot. Needed flooring in the basement of my rental property after some previous work required removing the carpet. Worked a week with HD and selected a flooring in stock to expedite the process. Still said it would be 10-14 days before they could 'deliver' the materials and then they would set up an install date. Called Aaron and a set up the install within a few days. They spent about 5 hours on a Saturday laying the floor including replacement of the baseboard. Looks awesome, was quicker and cheaper than the competition. Plan on using them for the rest of the floor work we want to do. read more

We had to have our floors replaced because of water damage. We reached out to a few flooring companies for quotes and all of them took days, some over a week to get me a quote. Aaron Goodman, the owner of AG Construction sent me a quote the same day that he came to take measurements and his quote was among the most competitive. He was extremely responsive whenever I had a question or needed more information and always got back to me promptly via email or text. Aaron told us the floors should take around 3 days to complete and his team was done in a day. The entire process was quick, simple and stress-free and the floors look great. There are some minor imperfections like filled nail holes and creaking in a few spots but overall we are happy and relieved this big job is done. read more

My gf and I are updating all our floors and Aaron has sold himself way too short - he under promised and over delivered. The process from beginning to end was flawless and amazing. A sound man/company who believes in honesty, reliability, deep understanding of his customers wants, needs, and concerns. From the start, he stated, after a signed contract, any additional cost incurred during the project the customer will not be responsible. This is how you do business. Not rip up your floors and then ask for more money to complete the project - will not mention names... Besides moving small stuff like blankets and pillows, we didn't have to do anything. Aaron's team moved the furniture and did their best to clean up after themselves. I liked that they vacuumed and wipe downed the area but I was mindful that they weren't cleaning professionals. I also wasn't expecting them to put on rubber gloves and start bleaching away. We got 2 floors done and it looks amazing. Stick with Aaron and you wont regret it. From beginning to end, he was constant professional and was always available. read more

Aaron and his team absolutely lived up to their 5 star reviews. We needed the carpet removed and the original hardwood floors refinished in our new house. In addition to reading reviews, I obtained three quotes prior to choosing a vendor because that in person meeting is always helpful when making the final decision. While AG Construction did come at the lowest price, more importantly Aaron (the owner) made us feel very confident in his team's expertise with floor refinishing. During the estimate, he didn't rush through it. He took the time to point out small areas that could be challenging to repair (to set expectations) and was able to provide me a quote on the spot, with a formal/written quote emailed later in the evening. Three weeks later, the floors were done! Aaron was an excellent communicator by phone and text throughout the process and kept me posted before, during, and after the work was done - even sending photos of the finished product (we did not yet live in the house when the work was done). The team really delivered and we could not be happier with the work. They left our place clean and, because they use water-based stain, there was no strong odor. I highly recommend AG Construction and appreciate all those who posted the great reviews that helped us find them! read more

I cannot say enough good things about working with AG Construction on our carpet and hardwood. Before Aaron, the owner stepped foot in our house, he asked what we were looking for in advance so he could be prepared with the appropriate samples when he did come to speak with us the first time. We could tell from the moment we met with Aaron that he is passionate about what he does and is extremely knowledgeable in the field of flooring. He knew that I knew nothing about carpet, but listened to what I was looking for and provided options to fit the bill. We ended up replacing all of our carpet (living room and the entire upstairs) as well as replacing our carpet stairs with hardwood and a runner. AG Construction was very reasonably priced and I respected Aaron's honest communication about timelines and what to expect from the very beginning. Aaron and his team made sure everything was done exactly the way we expected, even if it meant coming back an additional day to make sure the stain on the stairs matched the floor as we had initially discussed. When we had to wait for the carpet runner because it was custom, Aaron helped us come up with some ideas on how to manage the hardwood stairs with our pets and daughter in the meantime. He truly cared and made sure we were taken care of from beginning to end. I was a little worried about having people working in the house during Covid, but each and every person on Aaron's team was respectful of our concerns and wore a mask the entire time they were here. They did a great job of blocking off other areas of the house while they were sanding and made sure everything was cleaned up after their job was done. We are extremely happy with how everything turned out and with the process as a whole. We highly recommend the team at AG Construction and will be using them again in the future for our other flooring needs. read more

Felt like we owed AG Construction their deserved review for completing our floor sanding project. Contacted several flooring companies and Aaron the owner gave me the best quotes. We quickly moved forward and despite Aaron going on a vacation, his crew came and finished the work efficiently and in a professional manner. I got in touch with Aaron shortly before closing on a new condo. He was immediately responsive and accommodating to my schedule as we were trying to finish with our purchase and carry on with busy work schedules. AG also helped us navigate various approvals our building has for contractors and provided quick answers to all of our questions. Oh yeah, and the floors. We had AG refinish parquet floors. They were efficient, professional, and got the job done in about a day and a half. The floors look amazing. The previous owner of our unit had basically neglected the floors and they were in rough shape. AG made them look new and was around to answer our questions throughout the two days. We met Mr. Goodman of AG Construction, after upstairs leak cost two interior walls and about 850 ft.² of flooring in our basement. From the initial quote to the final invoice, they have the flooring business down to a science. We found Mr. Goodman to be very patient, knowledgeable, extremely professional throughout the entire process. Out of the seven contractors who chose to bid the project, the pricing submitted by AG Construction was competitive and fair. But, ultimately, it was the overall professionalism they displayed and the willingness to go "above and beyond" the call with guidance and advice that won AG Construction our business. I'm a total novice when it comes to things like home remodeling so I tend to ask a lot of questions and would lean on the recommendations and opinions of professionals. Out of all the contractors who came to give us an estimate, Mr. Goodman was the only one who took the time to walk me through the process step-by-step, including everything that would need to be done and not just the flooring. He gave us the benefit of a family owned construction business by pointing out several potential "gotchas" and things to look out that had nothing to do with the flooring. The information proved to be vital in avoiding what could have been a huge headache for us down the road with different contractor. The crew arrived promptly at 8am, going straight to work and had the installation (850sq ft) finished by early that afternoon. Color me impressed!! The work was flawless with the crew going above and beyond having to move several large items out of the room before getting started and BACK after the floors were done. We could not have been happier! A big THANKS goes out to Aaron and the whole AG Construction crew!! read more

I have nothing but praise and cheers for the gorgeous job AG Construction did on my floors. The floors were in a state, and I thought I'd have to do more than just have them refinished. I met Aaron through a friend, and I am so glad we connected. Aaron showed up right on time for the consult. He was extremely professional and on top of his game. He promised me a quote later that day, right on time. I gave him the job, and he and his crew were on the job as we discussed. They did their magic on my floors in a day's time, and were done when they promised. (I have a thing about following timelines as closely as possible.) On the day of inspection, Aaron met me at home, and we did the walk-thru. AMAZING work. I couldn't believe they were the same floors as before. Impeccable work, impeccable service, and very good pricing. Thanks so much, Aaron! Two months later, I still love, love my floors. We'll talk about my next project--the upstairs--when it warms up. :) read more

We had our engineered hardwood floors in our 1st floor office refinished and stained a darker color. We also had our 2nd floor living room hardwood floors refinished and stained along with the staircase leading to the 2nd floor. Aaron also installed new shoe moldings in white to bring out the darker hardwood floors and stained all appropriate trims and bevels to match. Aaron called me right back when I left a message indicating I was looking for someone to refinish floors in my new home. I did not close on the house yet but Aaron said he would be happy to show up during our final walkthrough on our closing day. He saw our engineered wood floors in our office and said we had 1 refinish on the floors and that would be it so we had to make it count and choose something we would be happy with for a very long time. He showed us pictures of his previous clients' floors in the color scheme we were looking for and promptly emailed us his final bid that afternoon. The consultation took roughly 25 minutes and he was very thorough and even walked us through the process. The most important part was how honest he was. He saw the pictures we showed him and told us he can get it to look 95% close to the pictures but we were looking at different types of wood floors in the pictures compared to ours. And he also pointed out some of the extremely dark floors we liked were either painted or used a paint mix which can look tacky in a home. Aaron gave us an estimate/bid on our floors that afternoon through email. True to his word, the quote was very competitive. It was to the point we felt like he was doing us a favor. We decided to go with Aaron for several reasons. He answered even more questions from us over the phone whenever we called him and would call us back immediately. His company was the only one to not be afraid of doing the engineered wood floors. Others said they would not even attempt it or flat out it couldn't be done. His price actually was lower than the competitors WITH the office space included. But cost isn't everything, we felt like Aaron was more hands on than other owners/salesman that talked to us. Aaron actually does the work and has firsthand knowledge of the process. I remember during our initial meeting he apologized for his hands being stained from just coming from a client's house he did some touchup work on. The entire process took only 2 days from start to finish. His guys showed up early which is always nice, usually as the clients we're the ones waiting for the cable guy to show up, the painter, the window guy, etc. But his guys were sitting in the driveway waiting for us (we did not live there yet at the time). Everyone was very professional and we did a demo of colors and finishes that only took a few minutes. They blocked off the rest of the house and when they finished we did not notice very much dust anywhere. I know this is usually a big issue but we just did a light clean of the adjacent kitchen and everything was good as new. The best part was how I would receive texts and personal phone calls from Aaron and his guys as the work was being completed. I felt like they wanted me to know everything was going smoothly and they were taking care of my house like it was theirs. I had plenty of updates on the progress and received texts back promptly. Aaron did not ask to be paid until the work was completed. This shows how much he stands behind his work. You cannot help but break out the checkbook when you see the quality of his work and the results of him and his crew's work on flooring. He followed up again to make sure we were happy with the color after it was dry. The pictures I attached are actually when the poly-satin finish was very wet. It dried much darker and with barely any gloss. He gave us tips on cleaning also to keep the finish new for as long as possible. We are definitely going to go back to Aaron when we have other flooring needs and updates in our home. You should at the very least get an estimate from Aaron. Also if you have engineered wood floors, he may be your best if not only bet on getting the work done. read more

EXCELLENT PRICE & CUSTOMER SERVICE. After a very good experience refinishing my hardwood floors, I decided to have AG Construction install new carpet for our whole house. Once again, Aaron was super responsive. His price was as good as the Big Box stores and included everything (i.e. no surprise extras). On the day of install the crew asked me to look at the carpet before they began installation. I thought the carpet had a slightly different tone. I called Aaron who immediately checked with the supplier. They confirmed it was the correct make/number that we had selected but there could be a slight color differences due to the "dye lot" used in each manufacturing run. I asked Aaron to bring the sample so we could compare. Aaron delayed other meetings and immediately brought the sample back to our house. To my surprise it was exactly the color we had chosen. This is my idea of excellent customer service. Would the Big Box store have put everything on hold to bring a sample back to my house? I don't think so. Plus, the crew who did the installation did excellent work. Minimizing seams, installing steps, and clean up we all top notch. We picked this firm because of the reviews, so NEVER expected what happened to us. Aaron, the owner, prides himself on his responsiveness and desire to do a good job. That doesn't translate into his technicians doing a good job. While refinishing our family room and kitchen hardwoods, they dropped a heavy piece of equipment on the floor and severely dented the hardwood. (NOTE: we didn't discover the huge dent to a marble tile in the entry way until much later). Anyway, the first fix was to replace followed by a VERY poor restaining job. When Aaron came by and saw the first fix, his words were "this looks like crap". We couldn't have agreed more. The next team came out to do the second fix. While the sanding was done well, they stained; then put the top clear coat on and stained again OVER it. We ended up with five boards right at the entrance to the family rool that are gritty looking and extra shiny. While Aaron only charged us half of the quote for the work that wasn't the point. Neither was Aaron's last email saying he was sorry that they didn't give us a perfect floor wasn't the point. We didn't expect perfection. We also didn't expect such a poor job not to be fixed. We are now in search of SOMEONE who will be willing to fix an eight foot by one foot area of hardwood because apparently AG Construction has decided not to come back and do it. ADDITIONAL COMMENT: I never said I only wanted English speakers in my home. That is an inaccurate and defamatory comment, which needs to be removed or legal action will be necessary. What I said was that the lead technician who worked on the floor, dropped the equipment and did the poor first fix was not someone I wanted to return and try again. Aaron said that individual (lead technician) was "having personal problems" and he finally relented to send someone else out for the second fix. During that second fix, Aaron showed up for about 5 - 10 minutes to translate to the new team what was needed. After he left, we did have issues communicating with Aaron's team as it was a struggle for us to understand the steps, which didn't align with what Aaron told us in terms of wait time between layers. Once we thought the decision was to "let it dry", the technicians went outside, came back and began to apply another coat of stain over the area which wasn't what we thought was going to happen. I was upstairs in the office and heard them still here and came down to find this going on! Our Spanish speaking housecleaning lady, who has been with me for almost 20 years was working here that day and tried to assist in communicating with Aaron's senior lead. She kept shaking her head though the ordeal and told me I should call the owner. Aaron never came back to our house to see what how the second fix turned out. The fact that he now (on yelp) is offering a THIRD fix is surprising. He does have my phone number, so if he calls to actually schedule a follow-up, I'll let everyone in the yelp-o-sphere know that he really does want to make good on the work and it isn't just a good deal of on-line bravado. read more

Great experience with AG Construction. They were very responsive in getting us a quote and showing us samples, then were able to quickly book the service on our tight timeline, even over the holidays. The CoreTech vinyl planks they offer are great quality with lots of good finish options. The install went quickly and smoothly and the finished product looks amazing. Since this is the first major renovation project my wife and I have undertaken, we talked to four different companies when shopping around. We settled on AG because of price, good reviews, product quality, and customer service. In the end, we're very satisfied with the outcome and think the finished product will help our returns on our rental condo. read more

Aaron (AG Construction) is very easy to work with. After our first meeting, he gave us a quote that evening. The quote was in the middle of other quotes we received, but we felt more comfortable with Aaron and relied upon other reviews to make our selection. Aaron is easy to communicate with. We are very easy going with vendors - as long as we know what to expect and that those expectations are considered. Aaron was very responsive to any questions we had. The 3-man crew were efficient and very hard-working. They were neat and respectful of our home. The results are beautiful and meet/exceed our expectations. AG Construction took our greatly mistreated 30-year-old honey oak wood floor and refinished it to a beautiful dark walnut. It doesn't look like a new floor. Aaron, the owner of the company, is knowledgeable, professional, has good ideas without pushing them on you, and is very responsive. Coordinating the date of the work with a recommended mover to get the furniture out of the rooms to be treated was easy. The crew arrived earlier than the announced time, but waited precisely until 7:30AM to knock on the door. They showed us some sample finishes on a sanded portion of the floor before we left, just to be sure that we were happy with the look (even though we had already chosen natural wood with a clear water based polyurethane). Aaron kept tabs with us throughout the work, and typically responded immediately to questions when not with another customer. They finished the work early with no compromise to quality. And while there will always be a little of that fine dust from the sanding that finds it's way into things, probably from the AC, they covered everything in the affected rooms in plastic and cleaned up afterwords. The kitchen cabinets were completely sealed off and no dust got in there. The floors look amazing!! I highly recommend this company, and am already planning a second project with them to install vinyl plank flooring in our basement. read more

Aaron and his team were great! He is extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain the process and options to us when he personally came out to do our estimate for hardwood refinishing. The team started and finished the work on time and on budget and was communicative throughout. They refinished 25+ year old hardwood floors to look like new - amazing work! Will definitely use again! read more

We recently bought a house and ripped up the carpet to find wood floors beneath. A couple of groups quoted a wide spread of pricing, but when Aaron came by to take a look it was pretty clear he knew what he was doing and would give us a fair price. His team worked efficiently and were able to fill in some gaps, sand, and refinish the old wood beautifully! They also brought several options for stains and let us see what it would look like on a sample spot of flooring before applying it everywhere - we really appreciated that perspective since the colors look so different on the actual ground. They were also able to trim just a bit off the shoe molding so our ground vents would slip in and out. We really appreciated that attention to detail. Aaron came by the second day to make sure we were happy with everything before they put on the last layer of polyurethane, and he was really communicative throughout the whole process. We followed up a couple of times after the job to ask about post-care timelines, and he always answered. We're thrilled with the results! read more
